very nice and big room
the breakfast is terrible!
the service also, they are angry because the people ask for more bread, the hours are very inconvenient, no vegetables, nobody clean the tables

Average hotel accommodations. Location was very convenient to subway stop.
They tried to repair the bathtub. Sides of bathroom door was dirty. There was only 1 very small suitcase stand

Great stay. Only wished that the breakfast was earlier on the weekend. We had early reservations which made us miss breakfast.

Good value for a decent place to stay in central location. Both walkable and close to trains. Only complaint was the shower water pressure. It was really poor and actually stopped running three times while I was using it. Had to turn water off and back on to start back up. Not the biggest deal in the grand scheme of things. Would stay again.

Nice rather standard hotel right in the middle of Chicago CBD. Includes fridge, microwave and coffee maker which however lacked tea.

Well located. Less than 10 minutes from Chicago Union Station. Large room with good room amenities.

overall the hotel was very good, staff was friendly and helpful with the exception of the breakfast staff who seemed uninterested and somewhat surely. The morning breakfast was terrible. We stayed for four days and had nothing but biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs on one day, all the rest were just the biscuits and gravy which was not good. No wheat toast or any other options. I would suggest that anyone expecting a decent breakfast should go down the street to a much better option . I don't expect a gourmet breakfast but come on, at least give us something decent to eat, it doesn't cost that much more to offer some fresh fruit, eggs, etc. Also, have a chat with the staff and reming them that it is importnt to be friendly and helpful to the guests.

Had some trouble maintaining the temperature of the room and the fan was very loud and wouldn’t turn off. The room was a nice size, but the bathroom didn’t have any towel racks to hang a hand towel or wash cloth.

Hotel was nice and the staff were friendly as well. The free breakfast was super full, and served the same food two days in a row (biscuits and gravy with sausage). But about what I’d expect for a free breakfast. Overall had a good stay.

Hotel stay was peaceful. If you are a light sleeper you can hear the L-train. Note that staying Saturday/Sunday night restaurants close by are closed. Open during work week since hotel is in financial district. Needs outlets near bed for charging items.

It was quiet and clean. Customer service was great

Posting my google review here as well: I'd say pay extra and stay elsewhere, but even their similarly priced competitors are better. Woman at check in seemed like she had an attitude. Okay, not my fault you don't like your job. Staying for 3 nights, but only gave me breakfast tickets for two nights. Moved on since I'm not begging for tickets for instant eggs, soggy hash browns and some sausage. Breakfast area is very crowded. Breakfast is only open for 2 hours. They don't clean your rooms during your stay. The woman serving food was very nice and didn't fault me for them not giving me enough tickets. Then they charge for early check in which is a first time practice for me as a frequent traveler. People have early flights why are you charging me extra (and essentially punishing me) for a room you're going to give me later anyway (and is already clean)? Housekeeping staff is pleasant if you ask them for something. Ice machines here are awful. The floors either don't have them entirely or they flat out don't work. I tried 4 different floors before asking staff where a working ice machine was and they directed me to one that did. Im not above paying for quality. But what I got definitely didn't match what I paid. When I posted this on google the owner/manager selectively responded to the issues I encountered. Their early check in fee is 75 dollars but that is not stated on this site......which has a specific section for fees.

Excellent stay. The room was comfortable and quiet. Staff were very helpful and kindly accommodated my early check-in. The free breakfast is very good and a rarity in Chicago hotels. My only criticism is that the lighting in the room was VERY dim - even with all the lights on it was difficult to read.

For the 3rd consecutive trip (I stay there almost weekly) the soap and shampoo dispensers were empty. I made a request at front desk next morning to have them refilled. No one filled them. Again 3rd consecutive time this has happened and i spoke with front desk and nothing was done. Won’t be staying there next week

Great value for money. Centrally located and near mass transit. Responsive and helpful staff.

I rarely leave reviews but this place deserves it. While I have nothing bad to say about the service or employees, the room is far from great. The AC vent is right above your feet at the foot of the bed, the TV volume is locked at 25 which is just the right level when you're trying to watch TV because you can't hear it at that point. And the cherry on top was when my single use Keurig in the room on the 3rd day of my stay somehow when trying to make coffee just plain broke down and the water simply flooded the bottom of it.

It’s a very good location and ok price. We stayed at this hotel for spring break 2018 and it was much better. The room wasn’t clean, we were giving a working at the check in that staff wouldn’t entered our room and if we need something come and get it. I would not booked the hotel if we would’ve know that. Breakfast had long long line and they ran out of food pretty much at the half point of the breakfast. So assume there is no breakfast. Rooms are kinda okay but renovations would help them as well

It was a nice hotel. Had people trying to finagle the manager multiple times, other than that it was fine.

From check in to check out it was all very good! The only thing that I would have liked better is if our room wasn't surrounded by concrete buildings, however that is not anyones fault. The breakfast was really good and everyone that worked there was SO friendly.

Really great service, clean rooms, housekeeping friendly. Breakfast is ok but decent for the cost of hotel!

Took an Amtrak train into the city. This facility within walking distance from Union Station. VERY convenient! Hotel is within walking distance from many Chicago must sees! Highly recommend!

You can tell this place was remodeled. Paint was put over rusting doors. Bathroom sink faucet handle came off and revealed a bunch of grime. Bath tub looked like it had dry blood.

Overall, the visit was good. Check in was less than great though. Our rooms weren’t ready until after 3pm, blamed on the type of room the hat was booked. We were placed in a room after waiting that was not the right type and had a broken sliding door. The staff was prompt to get us in the correct room after a phone call to them. Breakfast was great! Beds were comfortable.

Beautiful place! Comfortable but parking in Chicago is $$$$$$
Parking $60 extra?!?!? Come on

Customer service can improve has more friendly. Welcoming when facing a new customer.

Housekeeping service on weekends is by special request. We chose not and replakenished coffee at the front desk. Weekend breakfast was very disappointing. Only hard-boiled eggs--no scrambled or other. Butter and eggs actually ran out well before closing. Biscuits, gravy and sausage (pork or turkey) are served behind a counter where admission ticket is collected. I didn't ask for seconds. inadequate staff to maintain supplies. Posted hours are rigid. We saw one couple arrive just at closing time. There was almost nothing available.

Breakfast could be better. 1 ticket was not enough.

Very friendly staff, clean room, convenient location to Opera House and parking garage. Comfortable bed and nice in room amenities! Will stay here again!!

First the cons: The bathroom had blood on the wall and toilet. It was obvious which made me concerned about how carefully the room was cleaned. I had to have my room key recoded 3x which was frustrating. The only edible thing at the breakfast bar was the cereal and bananas but it was free so I'm not going to overly complain.
Pro: On a positive note it was quiet, affordable, and the bed/pillows were comfortable. It felt safe also and you cannot access the elevator without a room key.

The faucet in my bathroom did not work. I had to use the bathtub to get any water. I have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times and this is the only time I have had this type of problem but it was really annoying.
