Lovely break, but too short. Will definitely try to make it back there.

Will definitely back. Raging we didn’t book 2 nights.

The location was perfect. Check in, quick and helpful. Room perfect, service in bar and restaurant brilliant. Food great! Breakfast was really Enjoyable. All staff encountered were so lovely and eager to help.

Enjoyable stay

Lovely hotel. Beds very comfortable and cosy duvets Breakfast was nice (buffet style) Regular bus service into city from outside the door Room was reasonable price for Dublin Would definitely stay again

Bar food is expensive, but it is probably priced in line with dublin prices Didn't like the pillows (maybe this personal choice)

Great location for getting into Dublin and a really good hotel

It was in a great location and the service was great. Good breakfast and very clean rooms

It was a little on the chilly side as the heating wasn’t on in our room. Also the pillows were very high.

Reception and bar staff were very helpful

Housekeeping staff left a lot to be desired. On the second night I found my pyjamas had been flung under the bed . No chance they had fallen there but done deliberately. Why? Tea/coffee/milk were never replenished. Had to get them from reception. Toilet seat was broken on arrival but once reception were notified it was repaired.

It is a lovely place and everyone was so nice and gracious.

The bed was very comfortable. Nice linens

We were booked in a room with a handicapped bathroom and when showering, water went everywhere. There was no curtain and the drainage was not working properly.

Loved the location hotel not soo much needing a upgrade on staff training and the bed and pillows not what you would exp

Breakfast a bit of a hit or miss Yogurt and muesli fine different selection of nuts and seeds which I enjoy. My husband prefers a cooked breakfast and it was always cold

Clean hotel. Breakfast staff very friendly. Fast checkin

We had a view of a brick wall out of our window. Very hot room window didn't open much. Very expensive menu - €90 for a burger, a carbonara with no garlic bread and 2 very basic children's meals. 4 drinks - 1 coke, 1 dilute juice, 1 corona and a west coast cooler rose.

Fantastic stay! The most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in.

Great place to stay. Close enough to the city, but far away enough from the nightlife. Breakfast staff were fantastic and extremely accommodating as we had to shoot off for our ferry!

Asked for some help with the bags - car in car park. Although willing, the FOH staff member looked a little bemused, so I did the typical English thing and said ‘actually it’s okay, don’t worry’ - whilst I was carrying a 3yr old and my wife an 14m old baby.

Over priced for food in my opinion

Location was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. Was a good atmosphere around the place as the Manchester united game was on and plenty of young families there.

Check in time was for 3pm but room wasn't ready and we were rushing to a match in the Aviva for 4pm. We just about made kick off eventually after getting our room and changed. We had bar food in the hotel which I found expensive for what we got. Fish and chips over €20 is a bit much.

Beautiful exterior….the end.

We were able to walk to a few close dinner locations and a park.

Staff and rooms were very meh. For paying $400 a night at what I thought was a fancy-ish hotel it felt more like rolling into a motel 6. Wish I’d saved the $350 a night and did just that. Very underwhelming reception and room facilities. Would not stay here again.

Lovely old character building in great location. Staff were lovely and great value for money. Only criticism was the bathroom was very tired but clean overall. Would stay here again.

Breakfast

Had to change trooms because of a smell on arrival. There was NOBODY else in the bar, and they got our food order wrong twice. I'm not exaggerating, there was two of us in the bar, and about 8 staff. They got Toasted sandwich orders wrong.And gave the wrong flavour of soup when we asked. My Girlfriend asked reception if we could get a taxi even though it was just a short distance. They said it was just a six minute walk which we knew, but she said that she wasn't wearing the appropriate footwear, their response.."Then maybe its a 12 minute walk". Super building, less than mediocre experience.

I was very impressed with Mara, who was our waitress at the restaurant. She took great care with our very specific dietary needs with patience and made sure we were comfortable and well fed. She is excellent with people.

worst stay ever in a place

The restuarant was terrible, foodwise and the staff just didn´t care. The manager Stefan was rude, pushy and unprofessional. The restuarant called up to our room, and asked up to pay the bill. We said we would be down in 5 minutes, as we had given our room number and presumed it was general pratise to charge it to our bill. less than 3 minutes Stefan arrived at the door, and after being told 5 times that we would be down, he eventually left. It was appauling behaviour and quite intimidating. I flew over for the weekend to meet my sister and mam, as it was my mam´s birthday and we went to see Lord of the Dance, which was fantastic. I wanted to treat my mam for her birthday and that is why I chose the Clayton. It is the worst place I have ever stayed in. We were so so disappointed. We were also expecting a luxurious and cosy atmosphere. It is a far cry from this design, decor and heating wise.

Very poor

I didn't like it. First: the price for my room on the Booking website was €125 per night. I booked this hotel at this price. And had to pay at this price. But she paid €160 per night. Second. I was put in a room where the heating did not work. And instead of being offered another room, I was offered just a portable radiator. The third. There was a very unpleasant person at the reception on the day of our settlement. I don't speak Aegliese well. Although I could explain everything to her with a translator. However, she did not even try to understand me or explain anything to me.

Very Good apart from a lack of sleep

I thought the hotel was great but I've one complaint on the next question that let's the Hotel down

The bed was very Bad for such a fantastic Hotel the staff were Excellent and the Hotel was very clean maybe it was only the room we stayed in I would stay in the Hotel again for sure but I would expect a better Bed next time
