Everything that is written about THE MERRION is true! Excellence at its best. The lovely tea & dining areas are so beautifully appointed, as was my room. The spa is exceptional. I had THE best massage with SVETA! Perhaps one of THE best I’ve ever had! No wonder she’s won massage contests! Love the location & all the elegance
Nothing! It’s a five star hotel

Very comfortable rooms. Beds were excellent and we had a great nights sleep.
Couldn’t check in when we arrived as there was some delays in housekeeping. Very tired after travelling so not ideal. 2 Mix ups In restaurant which was very annoying considering price. Also told we could only have a reservation In restaurant at a certain time and when we arrived there were lots of empty tables for the duration of our meal.
It wasn’t perfect for the price.

Absolutely beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The amenities were wonderful. The staff were generally friendly , more so the local resident Irish staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the wine list. The rooms are beautiful and well maintained by the cleaning staff.
The front desk staff, more so the female staff, could be a little more open to answering questions and more helpful. This might be due to different language backgrounds. Booking a table in the restaurant seemed to be bothersome to the staff and sometimes challenging with ESL.
This is my 15th different hotel stay in the past 6 months. I stayed at the Four Seasons in Sydney ( excellent) to a number of other 5 star hotels in New Zealand, Washington DC, Duke’s in London and several lovely locations in Ireland including the K Club. I have never heard the room doors closing in any hotel like I heard at The Merrion. It is very noisy in the morning with the room cleaning staff along with the guests coming and going. The recycling pantry is another area of concern and should be moved to a non guest area. The noise from the glass crashing into the recycling bin is like being outside with the garbage removal.

Staff were incredibly accommodating, couldn't do more for you. Incredible room service, went the extra mile with additional practical goodies...breakfast was superb, both buffet and ala carte. The bar staff where extremely helpful and provided an exemplary service. Concierge also where incredible, couldn't be more helpful - always putting themselves out to help! The same for reception staff....
Incredible and exceeded our expectations across the board!
Can't think of anything - all fantastic!

Staff lovely, couldn't do enough for you. Room very comfortable. Breakfast absolutely beautiful. Lovely drinks in cellar bar
Room had only a view of the wall but it's a city hotel and we booked a basic room so understandable.

The hotel in general is amazing, most of the staff is very kind and provide a high level hospitality service.
The manager in the breakfast restaurant on 28 and 29 January (Saturday and Sunday) was clearly less professional, less attentive, less helpful, than her colleagues, who were on duty on the other days. The bar is set high in Merrion, and she is just not the right fit for the job.

The place, the welcome, the service, the food are all great.
Only minor things really. Gym is small and classes running there so it was too busy to use when I visited. Lights in room were strong and no dimmers or separate switch to turn some on/off. The coffee machine in room was broken (but they gave me a free coffee so all good). Forgot to bring car around when it was scheduled
