Another great stay at Sonder

It was our 2nd stay in a different apartment but consistently great Customer service, spacious, sunny apartment with a view, great location, well appointed kitchen

The only negative difference from the first apartment we stayed in was bed size, we greatly prefer a king size and would rate this as a priority when booking again. Also missing a tv remote that controlled volume

This is a great option for a Vancouver weekend, would definitely come back.

Room was massive, super well equipped, could cook at home if you wanted to but there is also a great selection of restaurants within 100m.

The bed was slightly hard for my liking but thats a personal perference thing i think!

Excellent location and comfortable, well maintained suite.

Good location, room had a welcome note with a text#. They were very quick to unclog the poorly draining kitchen sink. The suite was comfortable. Luggage storage on the main floor was handy.

I had some difficulty with one digit on the entry pin pad a couple of times.

Highly recommend

We LOVED the apartment. It is spacious, very clean, everything is new. They took care of all the details (tea, coffee, salt, pepper, etc) Extremely comfortable. The system that they have works very well. Self check in and check out - no problems, the process went smoothly. The location is very good as well - close to coffee shops, stores, etc. If you want a good quality stay, this is your place

I loved everything, just a small suggestion - a lamp on the ceiling in the living room would be great because there's not enough light in the evenings

Schicke Unterkunft in zentraler Lage

Die Lage war ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen, Supermärkte und Restaurants in naher Umgebung vorhanden. Wir hatten ein Appartement im 8. Stock und daher einen schönen Ausblick. Sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung! Man sollte sich die Sonder-App runterladen, Antworten über den Chat kamen immer in kürzester Zeit. Toll fanden wir auch die digitale Zugangsregelung per Code, so brauchte man keinen Schlüssel mitnehmen.

Die Dusche war in der Badewanne und recht niedrig aufgehängt. Als großer Mensch muss man sich bücken zum Duschen. Ein Akkusauger und eine Spülmaschine würden das Wohnen noch erleichtern.

Great apartment with lovely view.

Great location, with a lot to do within walking distance or short drive. Really close to the Aquatic Centre Ferry. It also has everything you need in the kitchen. Cozy living room with great view. Loved the double sink in the bathroom. Really comfy bed as well. Personally, we also loved using the app and code to enter the building.

There's nothing we didn't like. It was great all around.

Comfy stay in a modern room right in the heart of Davie Village

The room was nice and modern, the beds were clean and comfortable. Having a full kitchen is a nice bonus, even though we did not use it apart for making (provided) coffee. Also the property is in a great location, right off of Davie Street and near the water.

Check-in at 4pm is a bit cheeky in my opinion, yes you have the option to pay for early check-in and it is clearly stated on their website, but I still think 3pm is the traditional check-in. I would also prefer if there was some staff present at the reception, we rang the provided phone number once to ask a question and the person on the other end didn't even know which property we were calling from, no deal breaker at all but definitely room for improvement.

Bon rapport qualité prix

La situation de l'appartement, dans le chouette quartier Davie, avec une surerette très bien achalandée, rue Davie, deux boulangeries (je recommande le cinamon roll à la crème). Appart très confortable. Propre. Vaisselle en suffisance, nous étions 2.

Par contre, le lit n'était pas top pour le dos. Très propre, mais le matelas ne soutient pas bien le dos. Il n'y avait pas de bouchon d'évier pour faire la vaisselle correctement. Pas de bouchons pour la baignoire.

Lovely place

Staff friendly, nice welcome. Great room and Kitchen, nice view, comfy bed.

Should have wall mounted shampoo/ conditioner/lotion dispensers to save all plastic bottles and waste. Buying in bulk also cheaper for hotel. Housekeeping Staff just need to intermittently refill in shower area.

Location was good and the room was comfortable.

The mouse that ran across the floor was disconcerting. Where there is one, there are more. Never anyone at the front desk.

Excellent Experience

This was my first experience with the "Sonders business model"; everything is done online. Staff were available via text or phone and were highly professional and responsive. I enjoyed the concept and my stay. The room or apartment was beautiful, clean, and spacious.

The door to the apartment does not make a perfect seal. A fair amount of light from the corridor comes into the room and noise during the night from people coming off the elevator etc. The bedroom door was directly across from the entrance door! So, it made for a few disruptions during the night.

Confortable, accessible et accueillant !

La réactivité et la disponibilité du personnel ! L’emplacement, tout est proche, commerce 24h/24, restos, cafés, pub local ! 😃 Super ambiance de quartier et très accessible de l’aéroport !

Le seul bémol est l’espace sous la porte d’entrée, on entend tout ce qu’il se passe à l’étage. Mais pas plus dérangeant que ça car l’immeuble n’est pas trop bruyant !

É um apartamento e não um hotel.

A localização é praticamente no centro de Vancouver, as principais atrações a menos de 2km de distância. Apartamento espaçoso, possui todos os utensílios necessários para a cozinha, facilitando bastante. Quarto e sala espaçosos, o banheiro possui todas as amenidades. Caso falte algo, é super fácil repor na recepção. Funcionários atenciosos tanto os que ficam circulando no prédio quanto aos que sanam dúvidas pelo aplicativo. Tive um problema em meu checkin antecipado e me trocaram de andar, mas resolveram de imediato e ainda estornaram o valor sem nenhum problema, super eficientes.

Nada que valha escrever aqui.

We'll be back !

The location was great. Loved the sea view and the accessibility to shops . The apartment was modern ,bright with plenty of light . The kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal. The rooms were soundproof. Sheets and towels of exceptional quality.

The check-in process was straightforward but scary if one didn't have access to a computer. Took a while to get the hang of the access code The cost was $2,000 for a week,so was disappointed with the welcome pack.

The obvious choice for Vancouver Stays

This was a fully functioning apartment in downtown Vancouver, the space was huge. Beautiful balcony with sunset views, comfortable bed in seperate bedroom with plenty of storage space. Bath and shower. Fully equipped kitchen. Huge lounge and dining area, TV. I mean it was better than any home I’ve lived in and the cost was beyond great value. We checked out the hostel opposite to compare the price and for the two of us to get a bed each in a shared dorm vs staying here the price with marginal and obvs a no brainer to choose this place. I couldn’t believe how lucky we were, the location was just perfect!!!!!!!! So much advise on the Sonder App for the local area ( be aware you do need to be technologically minded for the way this check in process and stay works ) I just was continually blown away and amazed at what a truly amazing find this place was. Loved everything about this place.

Simplesmente impecável. Um apartamentinho todo equipado, muito amplo, limpo, bem localizado. Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e simpáticos. Fazer tudo pelo app facilitou tudo. Realmente a melhor escolha que poderíamos ter feito.

It was a place to sleep. Other than that I was unimpressed.

I’m being charged almost $100 for or room upgrades I didn’t ask for, wasn’t told about snd I presume based on the room, I didn’t get. Tell me why I’m being charged that. So different from when I stayed there a year ago. Impersonal, every little thing had to go your website including TV. Have to get your own amenities. No real service at all. Oh yeah at one point my bath tub backed up filling the bathtub with dirt that I had to clean up. Not a great stay. Disappointed

Cool place to stay in Vancouver

Great very spacious and comfortable rooms with balcony, very quiet, close to Stanley Park, the Ocean and the city. Super helpful and friendly online 'services'. Highly recommended. Different from ordinary locations since you stay in appartements including a kitchen cell.

Loved our stay and will definitely try to come back!

The location was great and the unit was very clean, comfortable and seemed quite new. Check-in and check-out were easy and the staff was very responsive (even if just online).

Great response to noise complaint

Even though it was an 'unstaffed' hotel I.e no reception, staff were available when needed. We had a noise issue with our neighboring room at 1230am and we received an immediate response and then a quick follow up from the online chat option. The location was GREAT!

The shower head wasn't great just adequate.

Once good Hotel going downhill in seedy neighborhood.

I know this hotel from earlier times, before Sonder bought it. Good sized rooms, reasonable location. Used to be a breakfast included; not any more. Location is now not good, seedy and on the downslope with homeless and crazy people roaming the neighborhood. Too bad, so sad.

This was a staff-less hotel. Just emails and numbers to key in to open doors etc. Download the app and don't bother us. Oh, you want to get into your room earlier then 4pm. Sure, pay up. Well, a $250 dollar room became $400 after city taxes, parking charges, and early entry. It was not a good experience and the last time I stay with Sonder.

Fab hotel! Sad to see it’s going

Really sad to hear the hotel is closing in January! This was our second stay at sunset inn & suites - we last stayed here in 2019. It’s a great base for a trip to Vancouver - love the location and rooms are clean and well equipped- you get so much more space than a standard hotel room. Excellent x
