The red door opened to our apt in Lisbon. We welcomed the sight of it after a long day walking up and down and up and down!!
Though it was on the 2nd floor, those steps weren’t much compared to the city of Lisbon. We welcomed a place to sit and relax together with our friend and yet have the privacy of our own bedrooms. The washing machine was extremely welcomed and let us not take so many clothes with. While the second shower is very small, we just shared the larger shower between us and then could each otherwise have our own bathrooms. The air conditioner in main sections was lovely, and to cool off the bedrooms we opened the windows in the evening and then could shut if needed to sleep. The shutters kept noise down and light out.
I really appreciated that we were shown where everything was, not in a hurried manner and there was a book left with instructions on everything. There also were some supplies for the dishwasher, washing machine, and other items in the pantry as well.
Coffee shop a couple doors away and stores for food close by, if just milk or so, nearly next door. Close to tram 28 to catch a ride early one morning without long lines.
Oh yes, nice hot, hot water for showers!

A great space. Spacious, clean and equipped with plenty. We didn't need it too much, but worth noting that A/C is only in the main living/kitchen/convertible bedroom. The apt is in great location, just past the busier areas so it is pretty quiet but just a block and a half away to the more populated spots. The walk-up is not too bad, but because its its only a floor up, you do get some street noise if you leave windows open (would only be an issue if you wanted cooler air while sleeping) The patio is a great feature and one really does feel at home in the space. You might here some noise from the upstairs unit but nothing too obtrusive. Having a little market next door was also super convenient. We felt right at home and would absolutely stay again!

Our stay was delightful. The apartment was comfortable for the three of us. The hostess prepared a wonderful book containing information about the apartment and tour guidance we used each day. The very next door to the apartment contains a well stocked small grocery that served as a “pantry”. If we needed any item of food, wine, or paper goods I simply went there as it is open 0800-2400 daily. The presence of a dishwasher and washing machine made our domestic chores fast and convenient. Most important of all was the cheerful nature of our hostess. Susanna’s place is definitely at the top of our list. (Did I mention a bus #760 comes by every 20 minutes to take you down the hill to the subway entrance, trolley stop, as well as other buses?)

We loved this place, it’s well appointed, was clean and tidy, had lots of amenities. The only drawback was there is only 1 air conditioning unit in the apartment which doesn't reach the bedrooms very well since it’s located in the living room. I would recommend this place.

Nicely located in a typical Portugese appartement. A nice stay if you are on a city trip.

The location was great - close to nice little neighborhood market, good restaurants, Moniz metro stop, and Alfama District. Area was extremely quite, which was great for a good night's sleep.
Apartment was a four out of five - beautifully re-done and with A/C in the livingroom/kitchen area. But...my husband wished there was more storage place; the outdoor seating area doesn't exactly look like the picture, and the apartment overlooks an overgrown courtyard that needs a good clean-up.

We had a great stay in Lisbon. It was nice to be out the super touristy area but close enough to walk or take public transit to everything we wanted to do. The cafe on the corner, Copelia, was the best part of our Lisbon stay. The apartment was comfortable, clean and it was nice to have air-conditioning in the summer months.

First time in Lisbon. Place is as advertised and more. Well stocked and clean. Location is good for the price an easy transit away from the busy main city center. Nice and quiet in the evening.
Definitely recommend it for families or a friend getaway.

Our property manager was very attentive to our needs. She promptly answered our questions and even arranged a van to the train station for us. The apartment was spacious for 5 adults and very clean. We were about a 20 minute walk from the waterfront with numerous outdoor cafes including a beer museum.

The apartment was immaculate and perfectly furnished. A nice selection of spices, oils and basic ingredients. The location was excellent for exploring interesting historical sites and parks. Across the street was a cafe with delicious croissants and other baked goods and delicious coffee. Two doors down was a great little grocery store with everything we needed, friendly owners, and the best oranges I’ve ever eaten. Loved this place and highly recommend it! Carolyn

Disclaimer: this review is being written from the perspective of a US citizen who lives in the suburbs. The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the Martim Moniz metro station. This area is culturally very diverse. There are several grocery stores, mini marts and laundromats within walking distance (all about 1-10 min walk). Check-in was flawless. Susanna/Maria were very friendly and easy to work with. Our party of 4 adults found the apartment to be a little snug for our liking. There are two functioning toilets in the apartment which we found helpful. The listing says there are two showers but the second shower is incredibly narrow and very small. We deemed the second shower unusable. (However we found it useful to dry our clothes and hold our wet umbrellas). The full size bed in the main room and twin size beds in the second room appeared to be well worn IKEA beds. They squeaked loudly when turning over during sleep. From previous reviews we were prepared for the loud street noise at night. There is a hospital close to the apartment so it wasn’t uncommon or hear sirens at night. The kitchen has limited cooking utensils so if you’re hoping to cook a meal “at home” you may have to improvise. However there were plenty of plates/ glassware / silverware. I could recommend this apartment for a small group (4 or less people) who don’t mind sharing close quarters in the culturally diverse neighborhood of Martim Moniz.

The location of this property was great. The owner was very accommodating for us when we arrived in Lisbon very early.

We were a group of 4 so there was plenty of room inside. with comfy furnishings and all the amenities we could need, including dishwasher, washing machine, toaster and filter coffee maker. The outside balcony was sheltered really useful.
You are located right next to the metro and major bus / tram routes so navigating the city is easy. Load of restaurtant and coffee shops in 5 mins walk. (try the oriental food centre when you want a change from Biffanas)
There are a couple of supermarkets in 5 mins walk, I liked the Continente good selection of food and beer + excellent bakery products.
The appartment is on a road thats a bit busier than expected, light sleepers might want to take ear plugs, though we have no problems.
Great appartment in a great location. thanks for a lovely holiday.

Stunning apartment in great location
Great communication with owner throughout including advice on getting to apartment and organising a late check in.
Apartment was beautiful, spacious and very clean.
It had everything you needed for your stay and we loved the outdoor space.
It was in a quiet location with a great little local shop next door but only a short walk to Lisbon centre.

A Pleasant Surprise
Susanna has a very spacious three floor walk up apartment with a modern kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. There is also a large eating table and sufficient living room space. A well stock Mercado food market was next door which came in handy. The apartment is within walking distance of a train station. My one suggestion is to provide a much needed book with directions for the TV and a list of local attractions. My cousin and I had a wonderful week at this apartment exploring the beauty and history of Lisboa.

Very nice
We were a party of 4 adults. The owner was quite helpful by arranging transport to and from the airport. The apt was clean and bright and the beds comfortable. The property was nice and roomy enough except we didn't care too much for the second bathroom was actually split in two with the sink and toilet in a very small space and the shower separate and was not big enough to actually shower in, we all had to use the one shower in the other bathroom. Only air conditioner was in the main area with the bedrooms at the other end of the hall so they got quite hot at night and with the windows open for a breeze there was a lot of traffic noise when trying to sleep so had to keep the window closed. The location is quite close to the tourist area to walk to but there were a lot of wholesale shops in the area of the apt and the restaurants close to the apt closed too early for us so we would eat before heading back each day. The little grocery store next to the property was a god send and the people running it are fantastic. They were so friendly and helpful, a real plus. If you do the hop on hop off bus pay the extra for the more expensive one, we took the cheaper one and were quite disappointed.

Nice apartment, ideal location, walked everywhere. Spotless. Good WiFi. Helpful hostess. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The group of 7 (lincluding myself) were overall pleased with the accomodation we received. The location is minutes away from the metro, which makes travelling Lisbon very easy, whilst the surrounding area had plenty of things to do/see. The apartment itself was charming and was mainly functional. However, unfortunately the time we had there the wifi was down- huge inconvenience for teens. The landlord was very responsive and helpful in everything asked of her, and was very kind to us during our stay. Would reccommend staying here for anyone looking for a stylish apartment to accommodate a medium sized group with good access to all areas of this fascinating capital city.

Lovely apartment with great views over Alfama and out towards the sea.
A business colleague and I enjoyed an excellent short stay. Apartment was well appointed and comfortable with decent sized bedrooms. Views were superb and it is located in a really charming part of Alfama with great access to bars, restaurants, shops etc. Would certainly visit again and thanks to the proprietors who were very accommodating at short notice.
