Our family (2+2) was extremely happy with the choice, and we can only recommend the apartment. A very warm welcome by Catarina and excellent communication with her. Well-equipped apartment. Close to lively Avenida and Marques de Pombal, but on a quiet street, which means we had very good sleep. A few shops and many restaurants nearby and easy to get around. Beautiful unit wth plenty of supplies and very clean. We were met by Catarina’s daughter and given a tour of the apartment and she answered our questions. Further inquiries were answered promptly. Easy access to public transportation.

Catarina was an excellent host! She was very accommodating for us and gave many good recommendations for the area. The apartment was in a good location and was clean. The beds weren’t the best and the shower was a challenge. The shower was burning hot and then ice cold back and forth. Overall good stay!

Although Lisbon was only the beginning of our trip around Portugal, we could have not imagined a better starting point. The apartment is located in the centre of Lisbon, with an easy access to public transport - Avenida Station of the Azul Metro line is just 7 minutes away. You will find all the necessary appliances in the apartment. The owner, Catarina, was very helpful and answered all of our questions in an eye blink. The communication was clear and accurate; she picked us up at the airport from a late night flight, so there was no stress in finding the property; she did the welcome, pointed out WiFi access and tourist information, where to go for food, sightseeing, etc. She was the perfect host. The neighbourhood is up a hill in a local area. We loved it b/c we want to be in a local area, not a tourist area. There was some noise at night from children and animals, but with the windows closed, you weren't disturbed. Absolutely loved the apt, there was everything there we needed and would definitely stay there again.

Nice area, lovely apartment with character and a very friendly and helpful host

We've never been to Lisbon before, but we'll definitely come again and would love to stay in Catarina's apartment as well for the second time! She picked us up at the airport and started with a short description of the city on the way to the apartment. In the apartment she explained everything in detail and the interior was exactly as described on the website. She left us with some very useful recommendations about transportation and restaurants to check in...and was telling us with a smile that there are a few cold beers waiting for us in the fridge. The apartment is perfect for two, might be a bit small for four. The beds were very comfortable (and I'm really picky with that), the kitchen was not missing any tool (except maybe something to crack oysters) and everything was tidy and clean. There's a supermarket (mini preco) down the road (2 mins walk), but the pingo doce (10 minutes walk) is more recommended. The metro station is just 7 minutes away and those who prefer to walk to the city center, don't need a map -it's just 20 mins straight down the main road. As we had to leave early in the morning to get to the airport, Catarina organised a reliable transportation (Pedro - he was exactly on time at 5.00 a.m.) for us. All in all it couldn't have been better! Muito obrigado!!!

The apartment is very well located, 5 min walking distance from one of the main avenues in Lisbon. The street is a little bit steep as commented before, but that's the old town configuration and didn't constitute any problem to accede to the apartment (we have traveled with two toddlers, with a stroller, and everything went fine). Catarina is a very friendly host and assisted us with all our queries before our arrival. She welcomed us in Lisbon and even gave us a big hand with the luggage upon arrival. In the apartment you'll find everything you need for your stay in the city, from touristic information about Lisbon to a nice library with many books and toys for the kids. The bed linens are of extreme quality and you'll really feel like home at her place. We will definitively return and recommend Catarina's house to everyone looking for a place to stay in Lisbon.

There is much to like about this tidy apartment with a good bathroom, well-equipped kitchen, beautiful wood floors, many sight-seeing guidebooks, and reliable Wifi. The general location is good if you have a car you need to park, and the owner Catarina is especially interested in your satisfied stay. However, our June visit happened to occur during the end of the monthlong Lisbon fest, celebrated loudly in the late-night bar that spilled out into street located below the master bedroom window. That bar closed at 3am on two weekend nights, and 1:30-2:00am on three weekday nights. The apartment owner is aware of the problem since she mentioned the police do not respond to complaints about it. She suggested that we sleep in the second bedroom with two twin beds, located a little further from the bar, instead of the master bedroom. The owner cannot control street noise, but it is within her control to provide satisfactory beds, and we found the twin beds inadequate, with metal springs poking into the body. We even tried flipping the mattresses. Then, by the second day, one of us started getting bug bites, totaling up to 30 bites after 5 days, which we feared could be from bed bugs. The owner agreed to partial refund, and has since treated and recovered the beds. The owner is very sweet and sincere about being a good host. If you can sleep through neighborhood seasonal noise and don’t mind the lack of closets, this apartment could be a good, affordable choice; the building is at the top of a steep, cobblestone alley, and the apartment is up two narrow flights of stairs. The neighbors we met were friendly A stay outside of June using the master bedroom could have delivered a 4 or 5 star experience.

The apartment is bright and airy, well located, and surrounded by many great restaurants. The host is very sweet and kind. We enjoyed our stay, and already planned to stay here again on our next visit :) Thanks so much Catarina!

We stayed in Catarina's apartment for over a month and couldn't have been more pleased. She was an outstanding host in every way. She obviously loves Lisbon and does a lot to make sure your visit is as good as it can be. The apartment was very nice and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We liked the location which is minutes from the main avenue, Liberdade. Their are beautiful sights, attractions and parks in every direction that are within walking distance, including all of the main tourist attractions in old central Lisbon. There are also good restaurants, grocery stores and a laundromat that are within a block or two.

"The appartment is very clean, well equiped, newly renovated and full of light. Near the flat there is the metro stations Avenida (10 min walking) and Marquese de Pombal is about the same distance but you can walk down the street most of the way. The house itself is situated at the corner of the narrow steep street.Catarina is very nice, she responded very promptly. We recommend family restaurant in the next street (opened only during lunch time) and Chu chu restaurant-tasty grilled food for nice prices."
