Fantastic views from the rooftop deck! 1278 Jackson Street is located on the historic cable car line that travels from the Downtown/Union Square areas to the Aquatic Park/Fisherman’s Wharf areas. The apartment is fully equipped with everything to make your stay very comfortable and enjoyable. It sleeps a maximum of 4 people with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sofa that converts to a queen size bed in the living room. The apartment is located on the 1st floor, 13 steps up from the building's ground floor lobby entrance. Steps away from great restaurants and shopping. Centrally located with short walks to Downtown/Financial District, Union Square (World Class Shopping), Fisherman’s Wharf/Pier 39, North Beach/Telegraph Hill, and Pacific Heights.

My new bride and I stayed here for one week in early November for our honeymoon and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The unit was very, very nice and within walking distance of several markets and restaurants. Greg was an outstanding host and provided excellent information for area restaurants and recommendations for sightseeing for us being first time San Franciso visitors. We would highly recommend this property!

Everything was very clean when we arrived, recommendations to local restaurants were greatly appreciated, some supplies were a great bonus. Rooftop access was great and provided wonderful views when the fog wasn't too thick. Neighborhood was mostly quiet with the exception of the passing cable car but it was a worthy tradeoff for the convenience. Great neighborhood & great host, definitely recommend

We spent an amazing week in San Francisco! The building was beautiful and the set up and look of our place made us feel right at home. Greg was such an AMAZING host. He provided a listing of local restaurants, a little starter snacks in the fridge and even offered my son and I his parking spot. The rooftop viw of the sunset and Golden Gate Bridge were breathtaking. 5 stars all around for this little gem!

We traveled to San Francisco for a conference and chose Greg’s place as home base. This is the best vacation home experience we’ve had. Communication was gracious, detailed, and helpful. Greg greeted us personally and left a lovely welcome package with yummy wine and super recommendations. The apartment was beautifully designed and delightfully outfitted with delights and conveniences. The neighborhood is centrally located and full of amazing culinary offerings. I left my heart in San Francisco. I’d definitely choose this beautiful spot for future SF trips.

We loved staying here. It was in a great neighborhood with lots of delicious restaurants and an excellent market nearby. It was easy to get everywhere from here using public transportation or walking. The owner, Gregory, was so friendly and always responded right away to any questions. Highly recommend this rental.

The apartment is well maintained and beautifully decorated. It is outfitted with all the basics to make the stay a pleasant one. Others have mentioned street noise. The apartment faces the street and is only on the second floor, so it's true that you hear some street noise. But I didn't find it to be to the level of distraction or disruption (the street cars run 7am to 10pm and aren't constant). The host was kind and responsive, walked me through the building and apartment on arrival. The roof deck has incredible views (Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, etc.) - guests should definitely go up there. The location is also great - very convenient to walk, hop on Muni or get taxis to any neighborhood in the city. Overall I had a very good stay and would consider booking here again.

My family and I had a great time visiting San Francisco and staying at this apartment. We had everything we needed for our family of 4 in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Most tourist attractions are a 20-25 minute walk away, and if you are tired, you can catch a cable car up the hill. Even though we were adjacent to a track, with the curtains drawn, I did not hear street noise. The host left a list of restaurants, and recommendations for our stay. We had plenty of room, even with 2 teenage girls, and would highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay, and found that Gregory was very accommodating and helpful. The space itself is beautiful, and has every accommodation you need for a long or short-term stay. Public transportation was easily accessible. There were also plenty of dining options in the area too!

We had a great time staying in Nob Hill. The unit was clean and well-equipped for the 3 of us to stay for 5 nights. We ate dinner at home most evenings and watched the sunset from the roof deck.

The cable car travels right out front of the apartment which is nice if you plan on riding it but can be loud if you’re trying to sleep. A USB charging station or power strip by the couch would be helpful. The fold out couch bed was comfy with the mattress topper. Nice view from the rooftop!

This was a lovely, clean, well appointed apartment. The one drawback that would have made me hesitant to book this unit, had I known, was the incessant noise of the cable cars, which passed by the bedroom and sitting room windows from dawn until midnight. A very bright street light is also situated outside these windows. A restful night’s sleep was a consistent challenge.

Loved my stay at this Airbnb while I was in San Francisco for a work conference. The location was amazing! I highly enjoyed being able to walk for coffee in the AM and checking out local restaurants. In addition to the great location, Greg was extremely friendly and welcoming. The list of recommended restaurants that Greg curated and the “ welcoming bottle of wine” was so appreciated. The little details that were put together for my stay at this Airbnb made it that much better! Bonus: the rooftop deck gives a spectacular view of San Francisco - especially at sunset!

This is a great property. It is close to many restaurants and shops. As I did not rent a car, I walked to many attractions. There is a roof top, where you have a wonderful view of the city. Greg is a great host, the apartment was clean and looked just like the pictures online. I would definitely come back.

I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in San Francisco! Location was great with lots of charming restaurant and location was very central to anything you are looking to do! Home itself was top notch, clean with everything you need with a beautiful view from the rooftop! Best night sleep I’ve had in a long time! Owner himself was second to none, so helpful, friend and professional! Building was so well kept and area was so safe and friendly! Perfect all the way around!

Greg’s apartment was great! Well stocked kitchen and thoughtfully furnished space in a walkable location. Greg was so helpful and gave us suggestions of nearby restaurants to try. The apartment was very clean and great attention was given to every detail. The rooftop view was amazing. Highly recommend!
