About this house rental
Situated in Folly Beach, this charming house for $604 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. This is a 1940's Folly original cottage completely renovated. The charm and cozy feel has been left in tack while the updates will inspire guest to go home and be creative with their own homes. The house has two bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed with a handmade linen duvet cover and shams. The other room has a day bed surrounded by windows perfect for reading and pulls out to a queen. There is also a pullout sofa. The front porch is fantastic providing people watching and great sunsets while rocking in Eames rocker replicas. The house still sits near the ground and would be great for people not wanting to lug their things up stairs. The front yard has a grapefruit tree and orange tree and the backyard has a beautiful live oak tree with some rope swings to play on. It is in a prime location at only one block from Center St; where the shops and restaurants are and Bert's Market is only one lot away. The beach is an easy two street walkover. This house is a great setting for family memories to be made in throughout the year and long winter escapes for snowbirds. Minimum age 25 LIC-039922

The house at 206 E Ashley is small but perfect for the two of us. Two blocks from the ocean, short walk of two blocks to Center Street, and near Bert's grocery. Excellent location and accommodations.

The best part about this property is the location. It can not be beat. You also have plenty of parking which is a huge plus on Folly. We never had any issues with noise and overall enjoyed our stay. The only thing I will say is that you can tell the property is due for a good deep cleaning, and an overall face lift. At quick glance every thing looks good but the more you start to look around you can tell the house has had a lot of wear and tear. The patio furniture had some rust. Some fresh paint (inside and out) would do the place wonders and the outside needs some attention like power washing, landscaping, etc. However, you can not beat the location, the price was reasonable, the owners were responsive, and it is great that it is pet friendly. Given location, and especially the price, I would stay here again. Folly is getting so expensive it is hard to find an affordable place.

This is the second time we used this place. The wife and I love the location. Close to the beach and restaurant. Far enough away so no loud noises. We will use this again next year.

This little cottage was so cute and had just about everything we could need (never found silverware but maybe we didn’t look in the right place). You can NOT beat the location. 2 minute walk to the beach or restaurants and right next door to the quirky little Bert’s market. Loved that we had all of our towels (including beach) and nice appliances (great washer and dryer). Would recommend this to friends and family! :)

Fantastic location! That is my number one most favorite thing about this property. My husband and I stayed with our 3 teenage children. The boys slept on the hideabed in the living room and our daughter in the second bedroom. We didn't realize that the bed in the second bedroom was a trundle bed. We would have flip flopped the room assignments if we had. The boys didn't care and it all worked out. We loved that there were just the right number of amenities and extras to make for a great stay. The teens loved the beach toys, Mom loved the beach towels and washer/dryer and Dad loved the AC. It's small but worked out perfect. We would recommend.

We enjoyed this property very much. The place is small but very well appointed, well decorated and just has a very cool vibe. Can get noisy at times from trash trucks etc at Bert's market, but never really caused us any issues. Easy walk to a great part of the beach.

Close to the beach and all the Folly Beach fun
The property is located very close to the beach, next door to a 24 hour market, and within walking distance from all that Folly has to offer. The hosts were incredibly helpful and very responsive when answering questions. We loved the decor, and we really appreciated the washer and dryer. Our family of 4 looks forward to staying here again!

Perfect place for girls getaway
The property is as advertised. Location is great and amenities were as promised. The blow dryer was missing when we went to fix our hair but they brought us blow dryer in less than 10 minutes. Very quick to respond. The only thing I would recommend is a good deep clean. The floors were dirty (had not been mopped) and so were the base boards and some food on a wall in the living room area. The pull out sofa had crumbs all over in the bed so we vacuumed that up and put the bed back in and one of us just slept on the actual couch and not the sofa bed. All in all it was a great stay and we enjoyed our time there. There were complimentary snacks ands a bottle of wine when we arrived. Having Bert's right next door was great too. Everything was a very short walking distance making this a great location.

The cottage is a short walk to both the beach and town and right next door to Bert’s Market (as definite plus to have groceries and made-to-order subs right next door!). Be mindful of the fact that it can be noisy, since it is so close to town and Bert’s. There were constantly people walking by and cars driving to and from town.

On the plus side the location to the beach, shops and restaurants was excellent. The cottage was well equipped and decor very cute. The master bedroom mattress was very comfortable and the porch bedroom provided a cozy place to read or watch tv.
Unfortunately, the bathroom pedestal sink top was not attached to the wall and the sink drain was dirty with no strainer. Both the shower and sink had numerous sewer flies which flew out once the water was turned on. The toilet was very low good for children but not adults. A cocktail table would be a nice addition in front of the sofa. All the floors were wood not LVP so they were dirty. No garbage bags were provided and the wash machine was unable to lock so we couldn’t use it.

The bungalow sits on a very sizable, grassed and level lot (Perfect for dogs. Just wish it was fenced!). A quaint market/convenient store is directly next door. Bert's Market is open 24 hours, has everything you need, FREE coffee, plus an over the counter to-go restaurant. Absolutely delicious and we took full
advantage being right next door! (Note that there is lush landscape separating the bungalow from the market. So although you have the convenience, you still have privacy!) You are also about 2 blocks from the beach, two blocks from an incredible spa (I got the best facial from Folly Beach Medi Spa!) and about 3 blocks from the main strip. Inside, the bungalow was quaint and small - but the space is very smartly used. There was even a small children's corner complete with toys and games. Such a sweet touch! We enjoyed the enclosed front porch and comfortable beds. The bungalow was clean and inviting - there were even a few nice snacks and bottle of wine awaiting our arrival. Checkout was a BREEZE. There is no checklist. None. Pack your bags - and you're on your way!
The negatives: Just like any other older, historic home at the beach - the bungalow could use some minor upgrades/updating. The screened door leading to the porch gets caught on the brick stairs. The shower is very small, my husband had an interesting time fitting. Some of the interior could use some fresh paint. The large back deck is begging for more inviting/comfortable outdoor furniture. However, all these items were very easy for us to overlook!

Perfect little pet-friendly place for the 2 of us. Surprisingly quiet although right next to Bert's Market which could not be more convenient...the absolute best little beach market I've visited. Hosts were fantastic and the rental/ check-in/ check-out process was a simple as it gets. This will always be our first choice to stay when visiting Folly Beach.

Recently stayed for a long weekend. Hosts were great to communicate with, quick to reply and accommodating. The location was perfect as it is right next to Bert's Market and walkable to center city/beach. The bathroom ceiling does need to be fixed due to the mold. Front porch door is missing. Notes say that there are beach chairs, but would highly suggest you bring your own. It was nice to be able to pack up and leave without a bunch of to-dos for checkout.
