About this house rental
We are top hosts with a local vacation permit through the city of Santa Cruz and have never cancelled a traveler so you can book with peace of mind that your booking is secure. Our home is in Midtown Santa Cruz. Close to the Highway, one mile to the beach, 1/2 mile to downtown. We love this quiet neighborhood and its a great place to stay in Santa Cruz!! Our home is a historic home built in 1865. We have updated it but there are still some quirks to it. The stairs are skinny and slightly uneven in the step and there is a stair between the kitchen area and living room. Ceilings are lower in the upstairs bedrooms and upstairs bath. There will be all the basic amenities you will need. Beach towels, toys and a few chairs are also provided. If there is something else you may need please let us know!! -Please park ONLY ONE car on the pavers in the driveway. The pavers are the bricks along side the grass. Do not park in front of the palm tree. Please make sure to LEAVE THE DRIVEWAY CLEAR AT ALL TIMES for the backhouse. Any other vehicles can park on the street. -The code to the door will be sent 2 days prior to arrival (Press the Yale logo, wait a few seconds for the keypad to turn on, enter passcode passcode, click the check mark, wait a few seconds and the door should unlock) to lock just press the Yale and it should lock automatically. -We want you to enjoy your vacation but please remember this is a quiet family neighborhood with working families so please keep the noise down between 10pm-8am. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. The neighbors are close so be respectful. If you are loud and disrupt the neighbors they will call the police and you will be asked to leave with no refund. -If you do smoke we ask if you do it on the front porch with all windows and doors closed and dispose of all butts in the outside garbage on the back porch. If we find garbage or cigarette butts on the property we will charge a extra cleaning fee. -Air/ heat upstairs in each bedroom heats and cool very quickly. Please make sure the units are turned off when you leave the house. AIR CONDITIONING IS ONLY UPSTAIRS. THE DOWNSTAIRS IS HEAT ONLY. -The upstairs front bedrooms window is low. If you have kids the window opens from the top down to keep them safe. -The house only allows up to 6 adults per our short term rental permit. Extra guests will be asked to leave. -We have a strict no pet policy. Please leave your furry friend at home. -If you are staying on a Monday night, garbage pickup is Tuesday mornings. Just want to give you a heads up they can be a little loud.

The place was more spacious than I thought. The location was better than I anticipated. Pleasantly pleased. The stairs as stated in other post a little challenging but with the awareness provided shouldn’t be a problem. The bed a little hard for those in the front bedroom upstairs

Vacation these days for our family has to include the ability to make our own dinners and lunches! So we almost always check our VRBOs when it’s time to start planning! This place was perfect for us! We planned on going to a few places around the Santa Cruz area (mystery spot and Roaring Camp trains) and this home was a perfect middle ground. The kitchen had what we needed and the bedrooms and baths were clean. We were able to bbq on the patio and lots of fridge space. We were comfortable and had a great time!

We loved our stay at Seanna and Jon’s home in Santa Cruz! This house was even better than we expected. It is a lot bigger in person than it looks like in the pictures .There is everything you need here and is close to so many cool places to check out in Santa Cruz. We would definitely love to stay in this wonderful home again. Thanks again!

This is our second time staying at this location & both times have been absolutely wonderful! This is a great place to stay as a family in Santa Cruz. The house is charming, clean, & equipped with everything we needed. It’s a short drive to downtown Santa Cruz & the Boardwalk. We highly recommend this place!

The house is cute and modern with plenty of room for a family. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, and pans. There were ample towels in the bathrooms and plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The neighborhood is nicely situated. Definitely recommend to other families looking for a quiet, cozy place to stay!

We had a family reunion in Ben Lomond so this location was perfect to enjoy the reunion and the beaches of Santa Cruz. We loved relaxing on the front lawn area too. Great location and nice home!

Stayed here with my sister and three adult cousins. There was plenty of space and the house was clean. Seanna was great, and we would stay here again!

Was a great place to stay in SC. Maybe some of the dishes/kitchen items could use an upgrade and carpet needs a wash or change out but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here as a family of 5 (2 adults, 1 kindergartener, and toddler twins). The location is quite convenient and located near some great places (shoutout to Water St. Grill for a great kid-friendly dinner!). It's great that there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and the full kitchen was well-stocked. The whole place was clean and had extra sheets, towels, etc. We loved that there were plenty of beach towels and toys and chairs. However, the uneven stairs (as mentioned in the listing) need to be noted here as well because you really need to pay attention and be careful when using them. Some stairs were shorter than others and some were shallower, and in particular the bottom step is shallower than the others. I was holding on to the railing and I still slipped and fell on the last step due to the uneven stairs. I wasn't injured but easily could have been. Please be sure to pay special attention when using the stairs..

Everything was clean and updated for a refreshing and homey place to stay. Heater on back porch was great. Only problem we had was plugs in downstairs bath didn't work. We tried resetting breaker and they still didn't work.

Beautiful home for our sibling + s/o adventure. As adults, we enjoyed a place to relax after surfing and Abbott square adventures. The AC in the upstairs bedrooms was a huge bonus and being able to do laundry!

I made the reservation in February and then had to update the dates by one day in June; I was refunded immediately by the homeowner. Communication process 2 days prior to our arrival was easy to understand. Quaint neighborhood less than 2 miles from the beach, grocery shopping and the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk! Perfect sized kitchen, just 1 1/2 baths and 3 bedrooms! Beds VERY comfortable! Used the grill our last night. Beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards available for use! Would definitely stay here again!

Most everything was fine. We had a few problems: the uneven steps on the staircase, bumping our heads in the not-up-to code upstairs bathroom- no vent in there either! There are no closets in the upstairs bedrooms. The only closet is in the downstairs bedroom for kids.
