Happily stay here again.

Location of hotel to access to public transport, shops, eateries was awesome. Relatively easy walk to harbour area with sculptures on display. Cooking facilities in room was sufficiently stocked to put together light meals. Fridge was quiet. Shower had plenty of room. Beds were comfortable.

Casual chairs - fabric retained the dirt (as they were white and blue stripe - white showed up dirt marks quite badly).

Friendly Staff.

Room had a bad smell. I asked for another room and the second room had cockroaches, didn't have a kitchen as advertised, just a benchtop and microwave, no sink or cooking top.

Clean, convenient and cosy.

Convenient location, quiet even though it's in the middle of the Cross. Clean and tidy inside and out. Easy access and an elevator thank goodness, didn't have to lug my suitcase upstairs etc. Would recommend a stay and I will be visiting again soon.

Maybe staff on earlier? it's nice to have a person to greet, I know it was the weekend and I left each morning at 7.50ish for my conference but it would be nice to have someone behind the desk, feels a bit more secure with people around.

Good location. Need to improve room cleanliness.

Great location near king cross train station, compact room, there is rooftop to enjoy sydney opera house from a far.

We stay for four days, but they only clean waste bin without clean the bed and bathroom everyday. They also dont refill toiletries and coffee bar.

Worst stay ever. Dirty and gross.

It was dirty- dirty socks left in the room. Dust everywhere, towels and bed linen stained yellow. It was as if the previous guests made things dirty and all they did was come in and make the bed. It was disgustingly filthy.

Money stolen from the room.

I was stolen. Below you find the report I did to the police. "I arrived at 23:00 in the hotel in the Saturday Apr 8, 2023. I'm in Sydney for tourism together with my 9 years old daughter. I had currency in a waist bag, 7 bills of 100 Euros and 10 of 100 US dollars. In the morning of Apr 9, I took 3 bills of 100 dollars for exchange and left the others, 7x100 US dollars and the 7x100 Euros in a waist bag inside one of my travelling baggages in the room in the hotel. Since then I didn't touch this waist bag cause all in Sydney is easily paid by debit/credit cards. In April 13 packing my things to travel in the morning of Apr 14, when I went to get my waist bag to put in our passports, I checked the money and there were 4 bills of 100 Euros missing and 1 of US$ 100. I called the hotel Mgr named Jerry and he mentioned that he's absolutely sure it was not his staff. However, no one but the hotel staff has access to the room. There's a daily service done by the hotel staff of removing the garbage in the bin in the room. The only possibility here for me is that someone from the hotel staff looked into my things, saw the waist bag and took the bills, not them all wishing to not be perceived by me. Perhaps it's worthy to say that I asked Jerry (the Mgr) in the first day of my stay about the safe in the room, that was not working. He mentioned the hotel owner doesn't want to invest and none is working not only the one in my room. He asked if I needed any help with something and I answered it was only about documents that I'd like to keep in the safe, not mentioning the currency. I thought I'd not have problems and then the money disappeared as described above. I felt the room was a safe place but it wasn't. No door was forced and only one with full access to the hotel and rooms could take the money as it happened."

Value for money

Great location, 20minutes to the wharves and ferries. Get directions to Butler Steps. Basic but well equipped room. Bit noisy in the morning, bin lorries etc. Good value for money. Roof terrace is a real bonus.

Cheap Stay for a Quick Weekend

Great location with easy access to the areas we wanted to visit.

We did not receive the message on how to access the hotel for after hours check in. When we entered the room we found dirty marks on the lampshade, cockroaches and bugs around the room as well as what looked like snot on one of the towels. We were on the bottom / basement level and anytime someone moved in the room above us / hallways above us it sounded like a herd of elephants.

located very close to King’s Cross station, plenty of bars ,restaurants, cafes and a supermarket close by, friendly reception Good size room Great rooftop for views of the city and somewhere to chill free guest laundry was a bonus
