Captain's House in the Most Charming North Vidzeme Seaside Town

Everything was great - the house, the location, the most hospitable host Ance, the room, and its design, even the weather was great for this stay :) We loved it and we are looking to stay in this place again in the future.

We felt very cared for an noticed that owner was really attentive to our needs. She even arranged for us early check in because we came with a bus in the morning. Great place to escape for silent retreat and enjoy beautiful seaside of old port town of Ainaži. The place was very authentic in beautiful renovated wooden house. Great place to stay with a family.

every thing is just perfect - the room is huge, stylish, cozy..every bit of this house, every nook and every detail had been thought through with love and attention. I so much advice for anyone who is willing to rest away from the big city to give this place a go. ideal retreat!

not too easy to find a restaurant near by - but you have a fully functioning kitchen and the owners will give their best recommendations of the nearby places to eat.

Touch the 100 year old history

renovated guesthouse made us feel that we are back in the past. superfriendly staff provided us bicycles to ride around town. The atmospheric design is the best, especially old wood fired ovens (not in all rooms)

Cozy place to stay

Mix of modernism with vintage. Staff contacted with me using WatsApp and send all instructions. There were welcome drinks. Modern kitchen and bathroom. Quite near the beach. Safe and quite place.

amazing place for a quiet rest

Amazing style combining old and new, very kind owner, easy contactless check-in, quiet place, even fresh flowers in vases, gifts in fridge, much space in the yard. Everything was great!

Maybe there could be an additional closet for hanging clothes, but in general everything was really great!

We will be back

We will be back and not just because of the tasty welcome drinks - everything was perfect and we enjoyed our stay to the fully. The outstanding design of the apartments was an unique experience - most of the furniture and interior is kept authentic and you feel like set back in the time, but you still have necessary amenities for comfortable stay.

The house is beautifully renovated, the apartment is very well thought out and comfortable. There is plenty of space in the courtyard, so that one doesn't really feel other guests. It is very close to the seaside, and Ance is a very welcoming host.

The check-in and check-out process is very easy and flexible. Everything was very clean and the design item layout was very smart - it is really a design apartment. There was a space for everything, the rooms were big.

The check-out time can be misunderstood. In my case it was 12:00 PM. I double checked with the staff to get a confirmation that's a midday, but some people may just assume without checking that's it's midnight. If the check-out time was specified like 11:59 AM or some other way, it would never be possible to misunderstand.

Lovely return during different season

Second time in this lovely house, but different season and different room. Particularly this time liked spacious bathroom with shower and window, and wooden steps that took us to the second floor.

As it was summer weekend, there were more people and more noise, but that’s was not a big problem for us.

Loved everything about it.

Very lovely apartments. You can see that the hosts have put a lot of love and work in every corner. The old is combined with timeless design and looks so good and feels warm. Perfect for couples and families. We were 2 families that stayed on 2 apartments next to each other - perfect choice for family vacation.

Amazing hosts, unique room design, peaceful place, excellent location. Big garden for kids to run around. First place in a while we didn't want to leave. Look no further if staying in Ainaži.

It is very charming place, you can see, that the owner has a fine, even outstanding taste. We enjoyed an apartment, even the staircase has it’s charm and you feel really cosy in and around the house. We especially enjoyed the yard, fire place and really nice designed tables. 10/10 experience. Highly recommended for families. (and also for a lonely traveler) Would love to return one day.

Great place for rest, staying with family and kids, as well as friends. Great, helpful owners/staff.

The apartment was superb, the design was thought through to the smallest detail - nice, cozy, comfortable. I stayed there with my 4 kids and everyone was satisfied, beds were comfortable and there was a place for all of us. You can really sense that the owners have made and designed the place to fit all needs.
