Food was good as always and location is top notch for accessing Old Town Scottsdale. J & G Steakhouse is one of the best Jean Georges locations we have experienced.
The staff in the lobby bar were very snooty; observation suggest they very much rate guests based on their appearance. Also, the hot tubs shut off at 6pm! Considering we were there in the summer months, one would only likely use the hot tub at night.

I didn’t eat breakfast there
I wish that our room was more plush

Astrid at the pool was terrific.
The restaurant Mowry and Cotton was closed due to renovations. They have a terrific brunch. We were never informed that it would be closed during our stay.

Beautiful location. Great food and drinks. Excellent service.
They make you close the umbrellas by the pool when it gets too windy. This is unacceptable in the hot AZ sun, at a high end resort during the Summer season…. get more substantial umbrellas or figure out how to manage the issue so guests can be comfortable. Most are there to relax by the pool, and not having access to the umbrellas is sort of ludicrous.

Resort was extremely clean. Service was great, staff was very kind and helpful. The resort offered bike rentals which we used and loved. The resort offered nice trails to walk as well.
Like everything. But definitely a bit on the expensive side.

The resort is beautiful.
The prices for food was ridiculous. I had 2 pancakes for $20 and 2 eggs for $13. I know resort prices are inflated but that is unbelievable.

There was NO ADVANCE notice that there was an emergency drill. I was told that the common areas had a pre announcement that it was JUST A DRILL. I did not hear any pre announcement IN MY ROOM. I honestly thought there was an active shooter on property. Management was dismissive when I explained this. Then, the next morning at 530am, a leaf blowing grounds keeper woke me up. I was only there for.a week to just get some much needed rest. At 545am I walked to the front desk and checked out and immediately went to the Scottsdale Fairmont Princes. After telling my story at my next business meeting with my staff, we have collectively made the decision to remove the Phoenician hotel from our out of town hotel list for our clients, business associates, family and friends. The assistant manager, Deven, sent me an offensive plancating email which I distributed and discussed during our staff meeting. Not one person in attendance could understand his purpose except for irritating an already unhappy guest. The Scottsdale Fairmont Princes actually gave us 2 free spa services to make sure we were able to relax after the Phoenician experience. The Scottsdale Fairmont Princes wants our business. The Phoenician could car less.
Everything Except the Spa.
