Andrew served my breakfast early since I needed to be out by 7am. He didn't have to do that and it was the best part of my stay.
I booked quickly on Bookings.com ("last room available at this price!") without checking the details and understanding that I was playing $250 but didn't have a bathroom in my room. I wanted comfort and privacy much more than quaintness, library and music room, so it wasn't a good fit for me (and had I been more careful I would have figured that out before staying there).

This is an exceptional place. For us it was like living in another time, we loved it. On top of it, the host was great and breakfast was outstanding.

Excellent meal on the sunny poach. Host was very helpful.
Bathroom down the hall. I was not aware of this when I booked the stay but it turned out well sharing with only one other guest.

Wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable hosts. Beautifully restored and furnished historic home. Gorgeous quiet rooms.
The bed comfort was “good” but would be much more comfortable with a nice memory foam topper or new top of the line comfort mattress.
As an older adult, it would have been an even better stay if the room had its own toilet. Only one room in the B&B had its own bathroom, but it was booked.

Very welcoming. Very kind. Beautiful house. It was my daughter's graduation weekend. She loves Jane Austen books. The house delivered a memorable weekend for her.

the breakfasts were delicious, served on time, creative and the ambiance of the Victorian setting was relaxing and joyful.
the main staircase had to be carefully negotiated by my sister who has balance problems. this challenge should be added to the writeup.

The house is a Connecticut Landmark building. It has been recently restored in an appropriate fashion. Although the pool was closed the house offered a very comfortable period feel. There was several reception/library rooms to spend a quiet time in reading and sipping an evening drink. The owner prepared breakfast to a high standard and took pride in his choice of food and preparation, not the normal American breakfast. Eaten around a large table with the other guests. Ample parking.
The room did not have enough closet/drawer space to unpack a weeks worth of clothing. Most guests stayed for only one or two nights but for longer stays living out of a suitcase was irritating.
The bathroom was shared with another double room which was a surprise as it was not clear at the time of booking in the room description that the bathroom was shared. Only one room has an en-suite.

Good, friendly service from our hosts. Excellent breakfast.
The facilities are not there yet. Need more work.

beautiful house with lots of details. very warm inn keeper! great breakfast! clean! has goats in the backyard!
The only complaint is that our room on the third floor is very tiny and we had to share a bathroom with one other room. but the view from the room is nice so you really can’t have them all. Just a reminder for future guests if these would bother them.

Breakfast was delightful and it was nice to sit out on the porches in beautiful weather.
The house was not quiet at night. There was a lot of music being played at late hours and people moving furniture upstairs after 11pm. An old house creaks and pops but this noise was due to other guests, not staff. Hopefully it isn’t a common occurrence.

The house is beautiful and has an interesting history. The staff is very friendly and the owner is cool and laid back. There's a pool that must be glorious in the summer and there are even goats and a little duck - what else can you ask for?
There's also plenty to do an explore around - I highly recommend it!

Second Breakfast was exceptional after speaking to the B&B hostess. Outdoor deck. The dogs, the backyard, historic architecture and décor.
First breakfast left us hungry and confused. The first bedroom I was shone. Too small. Don't get stuck with this room. The TV the size of a 22' monitor. Shared bath was in small print. Room was not serviced. Bed was not made. Towels were not changed.

The staff were incredibly hospitable. They really wanted us to have a good time. It was absolutely gorgeous and relaxing. Nice and quiet both sophisticated and close to nature.
