This was a good location for taking the train or walking.

Recommended for a young stay

I always like the vibe of the hotel and the style!

Only thing I can think off is the little flexibility in the bar opening hours as well as the rooftop (was supposed to be open but closed earlier without a reason)

Everything was perfect, loved the facility and the staff was amazing, very helpful and kind

The hotel is very nice, the interiors are very new and well kept. I loved the lobby which is also a bar with lot of seatings and space to chat and play different board games. The staff is amazing, very helpful and kind, i reserved the room with bunk bed because it was the only available but once I arrived there and told them I was alone they offered me a wonderful room with a double bed. They also offer a free drink for every guest!

The only thing is that they have a really nice rooftop on top of the hotel so you can hear the music in the evening from the room, but personally I slept very well.

Didn't Meet Expectations

Location.

Terrible housekeeping; Smoke Alaram bipping in a room at 2 a.m and took more than 30 minutes for the hotel staff to deactivate it; Hearing piping noises and adjacent rooms all the time; Zero amenities in the room, even a slipper; No comforter; The elevators are super slow. The bar wooden table not clean.

Nice hotel in perfect location, small rooms.

The hotel is situated in a great location, close to all the major sights and attractions of DC (Capitol, National Mall, National Archives, etc.). Super friendly staff and a nice design-esque look.

Unfortunately the rooms are extremely small. We booked a Corner King, and it was hard to even find space for our two suitcases. There is no sitting option, except a small chair. And the bathroom is tiny. As we were out and about most of our days, this didn't really matter to us. What did matter was the annoying noise from the air condition or piping … we couldn't really figure out the source, but it was constant, loud, and made sleeping without ear plugs nearly impossible.

It was a decent stay for the most part, vane to celebrate my birthday weekend here and just wish the rooms were bigger,

The location was great and the staff were pretty friendly

The size of the rooms were too small, didn’t like the see through bathrooms. It didn’t feel like you had much privacy. And there are baby roaches in the room .

Temporary living space that is quaint, modern, and efficient

Location, friendly staff, and easy check in and out

Lack of privacy while using the toilet, a couple light fixtures didn't work, found out my key card opened other patrons doors around me (I alerted the staff of this), remote control was dead but was replaced immediately by staff. Other than that everything was great.

Mais um Moxy incrível

O quarto é ótimo, estética linda. o pessoal do hotel é muito simpático. consegui fazer checkin antes do horário, isso foi muito bom. Ao chegar no aeroporto peguei um trem e desci em uma estação que era próxima, segui caminhando, parei para um café e logo já estava no hotel. Apesar da chuva consegui fazer algumas caminhadas por aquela parte da cidade e a localização é ótima... tem muitas coisas legais por perto. Também ganhei um drink do hotel, durante a noite na recepção tem um bar e alguns jogos, é um ótimo lugar!

Lacking

The rooftop was beautiful, parlor restaurant was delicious, the staff was kind and the lobby bar and free drinks were lovely. I also like the working space - library - but would be nice to have a desk in the bedroom.

The room was beyond small (i saw other rooms, this was much smaller) and was told I could not be switched out. It was below 30 outside, cold in the room and the thermometer was not working and the room does not have a comforter. Disappointing. The throw and sheets is not enough for a DC winter day.

Loved the location and aesthetics of hotel but room was too small, Wifi wasn’t working, no exhaust fan, not much street

Location was amazing! Grocery, restaurant and shopping were close! Aesthetics of hotel were good!

Street parking is very limited and overnight parking is wayyy too pricey!

It was overrall a good stay, some things could have been better.

The person at check in was VERY kind and always willing to answer any questions we had. The shower was amazing, the bed was cool, and I liked that we could open the window for breeze. I liked the fact that we could eat on the patio deck on the 5th floor (outside of the fitness center). It was also in walkable distance to all the major things we wanted to explore. The block was pretty quiet and there are restaurants close by for dinner options.

the room was extremely small, which made it hard for me and my husband to maneuver through the room together. The pillows was very uncomfortable unfortunately. We are boomers at heart so checking in at the bar was uncomfortable for us but it wasn't bad since the person there was genuinely nice everyday. There wasn't any parking, we parked at city center DC parking garage (it is $27 for over night stay).

Amazing place to be I had a great trip and it was easy to locate

The only thing I didn’t like was that I wasn’t warned that the bathroom was glass walls they weren’t fully clear although still made me a little uncomfortable considering I was staying in the room with my brother

Overall stay was amazing! I’ve told all my friends about it and it’s my new favorite hotel chain!

I loved everything about the Moxy. It’s a great location and walkable distance or metro ride to all the city attractions. I loved the Parlour Victoria, the rooftop bar, and games they had available onsite. I was able to enjoy the city by day and enjoy the nightlife right at the hotel so I didn’t have to travel far for that. Just great will definitely be back!

One of the check in staffers was unpleasant and needs to work on his customer service skills. I did not like him to be Frank and if it weren’t for all the other great things this hotel had going for it my review would have been different. He wasn’t very professional and didn’t match the vibe of the hotel. Glad I had very little interaction with him.

fun/ convenient stay in Downtown DC

I loved that the property was in a great location. They had a restaurant next door and a rooftop restaurant/ bar. They, also, had a bar by the check-in desk. We truly enjoyed our romantic weekend.

The room we were in was a lot smaller than i expected. I think it would’ve been better for a single-person stay.

Very different and hip property

Good location

Really intended for young hip people, not oldsters. The room was way too small. Contemporary feel but too much glass. Bathroom walls were glass, not our thing. Clean hotel but not enough creature comforts for older folks.

The note and chocolate they left in the room were very sweet.It is in a central location. a clean room. breakfast and food options were good.

If you want a quiet place it is not the right place. It is crowded and noisy in the evenings because the top floor is the roof top and people from outside the hotel come.

Wonderful stay!

I love the Moxy! This hotel was such a cool experience from check in to check out. The location was very convenient! No more than 20 minutes walking to any place I went, 7 minutes driving. Close to metro center station (a hub) but there was almost no need to ride it because the hotel is in the center of everything. The bed was comfy and the room was big enough for a 4 day stay, despite the many complaints I had read about room size. The glass for the bathroom was NOT very transparent so it was fine. The rooms are adorable and well thought out! The bars were great, the rooftop bar was very experimental latin style, the bar where you check in is very laid back and modern (the got Moxy is so good!), and the whiskey bar had a good selection! The parking garage nearby was very nice and clean, $20 overnight parking, and about an 8 minute walk back to the hotel. Staff was friendly and helped with a couple keycard problems! I'll be back!
