About this villa rental
Typical vertical house. Ideal geographical context, quiet, terraces (about 100m2) with breathtaking, unforgettable views of the sea, Praiano, Torri di Positano, Isola dei Galli. In the heart of Positano. Saracen style architecture. Floors: hand-cut "cotto napoletano", ancient Neapolitan ceramics. Elegant vintage furniture with all comforts. Three terraces furnished with tables (including a table for 10 people) and plants, flowers, pergolas, vases and antique jars. A balcony. All with 180 degree views of the sea. Upper floor: double bedroom (bed 1.6x2.0m) with balcony, AC and own bathroom; twin bedded room (0.9x2.0mt) with terrace (table with 4 chairs and deck chair), AC and own bathroom, possibility to join the two single beds to obtain a third double bed. Middle floor: double bedroom (bed 1.6x2.0m), air conditioning and its own bathroom; living room; the rooms access a large terrace with table with 5 chairs, 2 deck chairs, 2 sun loungers. Lower floor: living room, dining room, single bedroom (0.9x2m bed), bathroom, kitchen. All the rooms on the lower floor overlook a large terrace with table for 8-10 people, 2 deck chairs). The kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, 60x90cm gas cooker with 5 burners and large electric oven. The rent includes sheets and towels (changed weekly), electricity, gas, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and final cleaning. Security deposit of 400 euros required upon arrival. From this will be deducted the costs municipal tourist tax (2024 amounts: 2.5euro / person per day, excluding children under 10 years) and possible damage.

This house is perched on the cliff with magnificent views from every room. It is spacious and comfortable with plenty of room for our party of 6 with each room having a private bathroom. It is not suitable for anyone that can’t navigate stairs!!It was our first time in Positano so we had a little trouble navigating how to find it but Maria was very helpful. The kitchen is a little small for a large group but we managed and is well equipped. The location is only one level down from the main road so relatively easy to get to restaurants and bars. The air conditioning was welcome as we stayed in July and it was hot.

Please don’t look any further - book this GORGEOUS villa!! I spent countless hours looking through Positano villas to stay in. Thank goodness I stumbled on this magical place! The views are stunning from ALL three terraces. We had a family of five stay in the villa. Our three teenage daughters had their own private spaces and their own bathroom. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the villa was very clean. Rosella was a fabulous host and very communicative. She always responded quickly and helped us arrange transportation. Truly paradise in Positano!!

I hate writing this review because I want Villa Ibiscus to remain an undiscovered treasure. If you’ve seen the movie Enchanted April, it has that feel—with spectacular straight on views of the Bay of Positano from every room, multiple wide terraces and balconies filled with bougainvillea, hibiscus and jasmine. Sitting on the terrace in the morning with pastries from just up the hill, you ask yourself if this isn’t still a dream and if this is the most impossibly beautiful villa you’ve ever been lucky enough to rent.And in addition to the views and terrace, the rooms are large and airy and the bathrooms big with plenty of counters and big rainforest style showers. The bedrooms are separated out so that couples have privacy and the bottom level with the kitchen (and yes another terrace and sitting room) is perfect with a small bedroom for the moody teenager. Unquestionably big enough for 3 couples plus one. In summary, it’s a place with the fine pattina of an Italian painting, perfect for someone trying to escape an antiseptic modern Positano hotel with friends and family. As with anyplace in Positano, it requires being fit enough to manage some stairs and finding the place requires some early planning with Mr. Roberto the owner and the lovely Maria Dolores, the guest services manager.
