The house has all the details shown in the pics and is in a great location, a block from the beach. The neighbors and street were quiet. The pool, hot tub, master suite, bathrooms and kitchen were all as grand as I expected. There is a keurig that I didn’t see in the amenities, which was a pleasant surprise.
The shared driveway is problematic, especially if you have more than one vehicle. The design of the house and yard are great. The only issue is in details. The interior and deck area need a good scrub, paint touch ups, and minor repairs. There were rusted vent covers, broken lounge chairs, leaks, clogged drains, missing trim, missing smoke detectors. We couldn’t use the grill or outside table without spending too much time to clean it up. There were clean sheets, towels, and countertops. No dust I honestly loved the house and location but the family was all a little disappointed in the condition.

We had an absolutely wonderful trip. The homeowners were readily available to answer questions and made sure we were satisfied. We took our adult children and young grandchildren on this trip. For the most part, we remained at the house both cooking and lounging by the pool. They had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation that afforded us lots of time to enjoy our family. I would definitely recommend and would certainly return again.

My overall experience in the house was great. It fit all of my friends and family and we had a great time. The pool was perfect, location was close to restaurants, bars, and grocery which was perfect for us. Beach was walking distance - literally a 2 or 3 minute walk which we loved. The beach had soft, white sand and the water was beautiful temperature. Our host was responsive & accommodating. It was a great stay and my family talked about booking again next year.

Eleven members of my family ranging in age from 1-61 years thoroughly enjoyed a week long stay at this property. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished. The pool was a great amenity as the kids were in it every day for several hours. Beach was easily accessible and was close enough to the house that we could walk back for addition supplies or to access a rest room when needed. Kitchen was roomy and several people could be in the kitchen at once preparing meals without bumping into each other. Bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for a group of our size. Owner was very responsive to questions often responding immediately after a message was sent. Check in instructions were delivered in a timely manner and easy to follow.

Good location and close walking distance to beach. Bathroom doors do not lock. Other than that enjoyable stay.

Our family consisting of adults, teens, and 3 children ages 7,5, and 16 months vacationed here and had a great time! The location to the beach is perfect. Just a minutes walk and easy to come back and forth. The pool was perfect for all the kids and was clean and just warm enough. Everything we needed in the house was provided (except we couldn’t find a can opener!). We had a wonderful stay and we’re very happy with the property!

This property has lots of room and its own backyard pool and hot tub and is only 1.5 blocks from the beach. Great communication by the host!!

We rented this house for 3 nights for a wedding weekend. We had ages 24-91 staying there. Plenty of bedding and towels. Only thing missing was hangers. There was one hanger in one of the upstairs closets. Everything was clean and in working order when we arrived. Parking was easy. Especially enjoyed the kitchen island and that is where we gathered at night. Fun stay.

Our stay at this home was amazing. It is a minute walk to the beach and a very short walk to a bunch of amazing restaurants and coffee shops! The house itself was very clean and had everything you would for your stay. The host was very helpful and responsive when we would message him. Overall 10/10 experience and would recommend!

Was really excited about this trip especially after planning it nearly a year in advance. We booked this house to take my dad and family to the Daytona 500 and aside from picking this house to comfortably fit the whole family, mainly booked it for the pool and hot tub (especially given the February weather in FL).
We were notified an hour or so before check in on the first day (after driving 16+ hours out) that the hot tub heater wasn’t working and weren’t given the option to cancel to find something else (and probably wouldn’t have been able to find anything else on such short notice), only a VERY slight credit. We then arrived to a house with trash in the pool and on the deck (clearly not cleaned thoroughly).
I would not recommend booking just because it was highly disappointing that the main feature of the house was not functioning, the house wasn’t cleaned properly, and the owner was not very understanding about our frustration of the last minute notice and inability to cancel and find something else. Just a very unpleasant and less than ideal experience.

We booked this beach house for the outside grill, pool/spa, hammock, fire pit, and the fully equipped chef's kitchen. We had family traveling from Europe to stay with us for our son's wedding and were eager and excited to cook up some amazing meals being the big foody-family we are!
Bill was a gracious host from the beginning, replacing the grill that had rusted out in quick fashion and dealing with issues outside of his control when the pool stopped heating, then running! Unfortunately, VRBO apparently requires all communication to go through their messaging and no direct contact with the host, so when their messaging system has a glitch, everything goes quiet. Again, something out of everyone's control and frustrating for all parties!
While we all had a very good time, the 'tropical oasis' was slightly less 'oasis' than we expected from the listing., since the hammock was too stretched out to use, the outside shower area was a messy, burial ground for two old, rusted beach chairs and inflatables, plus the issues with the pool, mentioned above.
The house was comfortable for all guests. However, it is important to note that the kitchen is no longer a 'fully-equipped chef's kitchen;' maybe it was when originally listed. Also, it was clear some general home maintenance was required.
We actually had a great time during our stay, regardless. Everything we brought to Bill's attention was addressed. There were quite a few things, albeit minor, that we just didn't have time to keep messaging him about during our stay, hence the general home maintenance comment. But, I did share those with him at the end. Overall, there was a clear disparity between the original listing and the house as it is 'today', most likely because it is booked like crazy! Maybe just a tweak of the listing is needed to avoid the 'fully equipped chef's kitchen' let-down we experienced...
Bill continued to be a very responsive and gracious host even after we left and accidentally packed half of his beach towels! PLUS, he quickly refunded for the pool heating we had arranged!
OVERALL, we would return to the house with renewed, more realistic, expectations. Bill is probably the most responsive and gracious host we have 'met.' Thank you, Bill.

When we booked this stay 11 months in advance, I can’t tell you how excited I was as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother(“Nana”) planning to have our whole family together at the beach area. Upon arrival, we found the place clean and very accommodating for our group and I was thrilled. However…. there were some glitches.
1.) With our first dip in the pool we found a large piece of the pool tile edge broken and came off leaving a sharp edge. (Picture included). We understand, things happen, and we were careful with our group of grandchildren, not to let anyone get injured by it.
2.) It doesn’t take too many trips in and out of the house at the beach to decide that it’s time to pull out the vacuum cleaner. We’ll, that was a disaster. The vacuum cleaner was a disaster, spitting out sand faster than it was picking it up.
3.) It also doesn’t take many trips out in the heat to decide that you’d like some ice in your drink. Sorry……the ice maker doesn’t work. Seeing that there was ice in the “ice collection bin” that was obviously store bought ice, it was clear that this was not a new event. Ugh!!!!
4.) One of the main burners on the gas stove didn’t work properly and we gave up trying to use it. This was a bummer as we cooked almost all of our meals for family at the house.
5.) The remote control for the ceiling fan in the one common gathering room (the living room which is where several of the children slept) didn’t work so there was no way to turn on the fan and circulate the air in that room.
6.) The poolside wooden furniture is falling apart
7.)And here is the CLENCHER, the thing that drove me BONKERS all week long. especially knowing that the owner knew about the problem. (We discussed it in our correspondence. ) His words were “and the kitchen sink faucet, that is kind of a crazy handle, it just continually needs to be tightened.” (You would think that someone who has worked in the construction service industry would consider that to be a priority! I bet his home faucet doesn’t “continually” need to be tightened.
So there you go….all in all, it is a beautiful place to stay and very accommodating to a large group. The pool is it’s saving Grace and the proximity to the beach is very nice.
And yes, the owner is very responsive to messages sent, but I wonder if he replaced the faucet before the next occupants arrived. It certainly would have been an easy and inexpensive solution to a VERY AGGRAVATING problem.

My husband & I brought our 3 boys ages 6, 9, and 14 to this house to celebrate the end of summer & my husband’s birthday. It was the prefect private family getaway! The location is fantastic, you are steps the beach & a 5 minute drive to a number of great restaurants. The house is well equipped with everything you would need. The backyard is spectacular, my family loved relaxing in the pool & spa after our days at the beach!

Seven adult family members stayed for 6 nights. The house was clean and very comfortable. Nice kitchen, fantastic pool and shady deck. And so close to the beach. Owner really quick with communications. We have already booked a week at the house for next year.

Awesome home/backyard/location
We had 6 adults and 2 kids staying at the home and there was more than enough room for us. The house was clean and had plenty of places to sleep. The backyard was as good, if not better, than the pictures show. The pool has a zero entry shallow area that is perfect for little kids, or just lounging with your feet in the water and the hot tub was great. Also, the beach is very close (maybe a minute walk).

Perfect Spot, Great House
We lived in Jax Beach for 4 years and stayed at this house on a trip back to visit friends. It's a great spot, loved being one block off the beach. It's an adorable house and the backyard has everything you would want. A true beach house.

Unfortunately, this property was filthy, scuffs and grime on every wall, door, and staircase, every crevice, the sinks, etc. From a sanitation standpoint, I believe bedding, bathrooms, and kitchen gets cleaned between stays, but it’s the kind of place you feel the need to wear shoes in.
