Came to Maine for a bucket list trip. We went in the beginning of November but should have come one week before to enjoy the boat tours. Nevertheless just exploring Acadia without crowds was amazing. Nate and Becky”s cottage is so warm and welcoming. All it’s little quirks were comforting and the beach outside the door, what can you say? We were so happy we didn’t want to leave. I would definitely recommend this property. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for letting us stay. AMAZING

All 6 of us absolutely loved the house. There was plenty of room to spread out and ample space to come together around the TV and dining room table!

We found the property quite endearing! Nice very quiet neighborhood where wildlife abounds….
We visited for two weeks between September and October and had hoped for more fall color, I think they must come second week of October

We enjoyed the stay very much. The house has its own beach and Lamoine Beach is just down the road. The house is setup so that there are 2 sections allowing for privacy, so great for multiple A couple of annoyances: the coffee maker did not keep coffee hot. The outside lights were out, and we got there after dark so it was difficult to get settled.

Our family of 8 truly enjoyed staying at this home. So very accommodating! We took up our small aluminum boat, 4 kayaks and a big water raft. Our grandchildren had a blast at high tide! We took our boat into Bar Harbor. We avoided cruise ship days. Lol. Home sure works well with the extra bedrooms , bath and living area available. You wont regret staying here!

We traveled to Maine when our girls were little, and this area was their favorite place. Now our girls are grown and out of college, and we booked this home to vacation together as a family in Maine after 18 years. On the 2nd night one of my girls got engaged right out on the beach. Drew a heart in the sand with rose petals, and lights at sunset. Such a fun and memorable place to vacation.

This is a beautiful home that has a lot of room for everyone. Nate was soooo nice when we had trouble with the Internet. He came over right away and arranged to have the repairman come the next day. Can't say enough good things about this home and him! Thanks!!!!!!!

We had an amazing time staying here. The views can’t be beat. The area is quiet and private. There’s just nothing like getting up in the morning and walking down to the beach, and at the night the sunsets are just beautiful. The house has plenty of space and anything we needed to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. I highly recommend going for a walk, left and right out of the driveway. More spectacular views!! My whole family thoroughly enjoyed themselves just staying home or going to Mt Desert Island which is nearby. The owners are great and think of all the little things. The house was also very clean with plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. We would definitely stay here again!!

Plenty of space and a great view. The property easily accommodated me, my wife, son, in-laws, and dog. This place was a home away from home. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, and utensils for cooking. Multiple rooms to enjoy the view of the bay. The location was perfect, it was an easy drive to Acadia, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, and Hancock. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Our first time to the Acadia Area, and this home was perfect. Rustic and cozy. We saw a moose walk through the front yard! And to have the ocean out the back yard was amazing. It's just what we were looking for, and conveniently close to MDI without the crowds. We'll be back!

This property was exactly as described, and well-suited for a family of eight (two parents, two grandparents, four kids). The location cannot be beat - right on the water! We visited in the fall and the foliage was spectacular. We enjoyed everything about our visit, and highly recommend this property!!!

Just Perfect for our four boys
This was a perfect place for our two family adventure. Our four boys loved exploring low tide in the backyard, playing hide and seek in the house, and riding bikes to the nearby beach to find crabs. The boys had a great time fishing and swimming in the nearby pond too. It is right in the middle of both parts of Acadia and close to grocery shopping. Ben and me is a must by Schoodic section and the Traveling Lobster for dinner on the way back from Bar Harbor. The drive to Bar Harbor was not bad with lots of cute shops on the way. Perfect location, especially with dogs. Look out for the fox that lives in the neighborhood!

The house itself is ok. It was a good size for a group of 4 adults and 7 kids. The kitchen was a little tight but the upgraded living room furniture made up for that. We had a minor issue with the water heater not working properly, but the owner was prompt to reply to our texts and fixed the issue in a timely manner. The studio was a perfect size for the kids to sleep in and was far enough away from the main part of the house to not disturb them. The best part of this property is its location. Located about 40 minutes away from MDI in a quiet secluded neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed having our own private beach and the sunsets are out of this world! Everyone (including our dog) had a fantastic time! The only suggestion would be to add a few more knives, forks, and spoons to the kitchen as well as some more plates and bowls. Overall we would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is looking to experience Maine.

Quiet & Cozy
If you’re looking for a small place for peaceful relaxation, this place is great! No one was in either cabin next to us and it was so peaceful and serene at the lake. My husband and daughters were successful fishing every day we were there. Enjoyed relaxing (and staying warm) by the fireplace in the cabin. The bathroom was a bit tiny, but thankful for the warm showers and clean space. Even with a fire in the fireplace, it was a bit chilly in the cabin on the cool nights and rainy days. The extra blankets were great to cozy up in while reading a few books. Thank you for allowing our family to share your quaint cabin on the lake. We had a great time!

This was the perfect place to have 10 adults gather to play games, eat together and venture out to Bar Harbor and Acadia! Plenty of room, plenty of warmth and hot water for showers. We were there in the office season, but felt cozy and well provided for. How to get back there someday!

Unique find
We generally like to stay off the beaten path when visiting the Acadia area... this property allowed us to access MDI easily enough during the slow season and explore the Schoodic Peninsula too. We loved our walks on the point and being able to get right down to the beach easily from the house. The house is really unique and I can tell the owners are in the process are updating it tastefully. It has a lot of character, large windows, and a lot of space which would be great for two families and was more than enough for our family of four. I would say that the upstairs bedrooms in the main house are more desirable than the two in the extended portion of the house, but the bathrooms downstairs are more updated than the upstairs bathroom- so it's a little mix of old and new throughout. The couches are different than in the pictures and they were a huge hit with our family- so many reclining seats and very comfortable! Overall we really loved the house, the location, and the unique character of this property and can't wait to see how it continues to improve. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful view of the water in December when leaves have fallen! We enjoyed this cozy house very much. Kitchen had everything we needed for lots of cooking. Reclining chairs/couches extra comfy. Thoughtful, timely communication from our hosts.
