Are you ready for “The Island”? That’s what we call our dream vacation, and just like on a dream island, you’re here to leave your worries behind.

This ****-star-rated apartment is located in the fishing village of Polchow. It belongs to the municipality of Glowe (yes, Glowe is located on the Baltic Sea beach at Schaab). The apartment is on the first floor of a three-family home in a small condominium built in 2000. The apartment is absolutely quiet. Instead of traffic noise, you’ll hear birds singing.

It is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home: a tastefully decorated, spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining table that seats 8 people, a spacious bedroom with a double bed (two mattresses) and ample closet space, an additional bedroom with two separate beds, a crib, a high chair, a spacious bathroom (with a window), a large south-facing terrace, a barbecue fireplace, a fire pit with firewood and skewers (also great for letting the kids toast their own bread and sausages over the fire), a smokehouse, a fruit orchard with beach chairs, 4 bicycles, a small fishing boat, and, most recently: a spacious garden sauna that seats 5 people.


Recreation any time of year: The growing number of bookings for stays outside the summer months proves it:

Rügen is the ideal vacation spot for all seasons! A season where nothing happens and you don’t get the rest you’re looking for simply doesn’t exist on Rügen.

On the contrary,
Those who have already visited Rügen off-season rave about the special experience:
- Observing impressively powerful natural phenomena such as the crane migration and the flight of birds in spring and fall
- Storm walks along the bay at Cape Arkona or along the endless beaches of the Baltic Sea
- A visit to the many small, atmospheric Christmas markets during Advent
- Sea buckthorn festivals, Schlachte festivals, and other activities for islanders and their guests in winter
- Unwinding in cozy inns after spending time in nature, where the staff now has time to chat with you
- Enjoying the sauna in the cottage’s garden (also ideal for rainy summer days).

A small rowed fishing boat is available for fishing trips on the Bodden. If you’re familiar with operating the motor, please let us know! A motor for the small fishing boat is ready.
For those who prefer deep-sea fishing: These opportunities are available at the ports of Glowe and Sassnitz!

If you catch more fish than you can eat on vacation:
A smoker is available for your use in the garden. If necessary, Peter will also assist you on-site with freezing the fish until your trip home.

Of course, the small fishing boat and rowboats are available in the lagoon for non-anglers.

Vacations for the idle:
Not everyone’s idea of relaxation involves lounging on the beach or participating in sports activities. We’ve got you covered, even if you’re one of those people!

Sometimes you just feel like doing nothing. A day on the “island” might look like this:

Time to get a good night’s sleep, time for breakfast, a little reading, napping on a garden bench, on the deck, or in a hammock while watching the clouds, listening to the birds, and watching the Polchower cats on their wanderings, soaking up the sun sheltered from the wind in a beach chair, sipping a cappuccino, playing a game of bowling, putting on your favorite song, checking out what’s on TV, and then popping in a DVD, stoking the fire in the fireplace on the terrace —a glass of wine in hand—watching the flames, lighting a campfire with the kids (or even without them) in the fire pit and grilling sausages or meat on a skewer, admiring the sunset......

The next day, we invite you to take one of the four motorcycles and ride along the Schaab Bodden toward the Baltic Sea Glowe (20 minutes) for a day at the beach.
