About this cottage rental
The fortified town of Saint-Victor is a place steeped in history and close to our hearts. In this old Provençal farmhouse, an 18th-century country house built along a Roman road, you’ll enjoy the charm and tranquility of a prime property in a wooded area featuring: vineyards, olive groves, oak and pine forests, and a private riverside beach. Accompanied by the sound of cicadas, the ancient stones will tell you their stories—whether romantic legends or tales of Roman sarcophagi... You can go for a swim and cool off in the Argens River, clear and refreshing, in a natural setting. Both children and couples will enjoy the sights, the scents, the light, the barbecue appetizers, and the entire authentic atmosphere of this unique place.
Those of you seeking peace and quiet can unwind by playing boules in the shade of the old oak tree or taking a stroll near the dry-stone walls. Most active guests will devote themselves to their favorite activities: cycling, hiking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and horseback riding...
It consists of a 70-square-meter apartment on the first floor of the mansion with its own private entrance, open to nature and facing the cliffs. It does not face south, unlike the available deck. This comfortable vacation home is also very practical and functional, with a well-insulated dining area, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, etc.) and a living room with Internet access. In addition to two comfortable bedrooms, the bathroom features a separate shower and bathtub, along with a washing machine, etc.
The river and the beach are just 200 meters from the house. The private property spans 10 hectares in a wooded area, yet is very accessible.
By car, it’s a 5-minute drive to the village and just 10 minutes from the A8 highway, allowing you to reach the coast and explore our beautiful region: the villages in the heart of the Var, Lake St. Croix, the Verdon Gorges, the Var Coast resort area...
A tip: don’t forget to visit Thoronet Abbey, famous worldwide for its tranquility and exceptional acoustics (many concerts are held there in the summer).

If you are looking for an apartment in a really old bastide equipped with nice old furniture and rare posters on the walls, absolutely quiet and a little hidden, you will like this place. You will have a large, sunny terrace and a lot of space around, which will let you forget the few steps of the staircase up to the gite. You will find an excellent equipped kitchen with everything you need for self-catering. There is a bakery and a winery closeby, and excellent supermarkets not far away.
The WiFi-signal in the apartment maybe a little poor, but it's sufficient to get your mail and papers or surfing the internet. The river was not easily accessible at our time because of recent high waters.
Michele and Etienne are very kind and will surely help you if yo have questions. They also can give you plenty of other tips.

J'ai beaucoup apprécié le cadre, la rivière, l'accueil, etc. Propre et bien entretenu. Accueil de qualité, bons conseils par la propriétaire pour se découvrir la région. L'environnement est magnifique. Appartement très agréable et confortable, le tout est très calme et reposant. Très appréciable pour une famille avec des enfants pour l'espace et la plage au bord de la rivière. La mer n'est pas bien loin, et l'arrière-pays est plein de charme. Je recommande aux amis et aux autres !
