Located in Beech Mountain, this charming house for $142 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Located in the heart of the magnificent Beech Mountain, this 2 bedroom with loft attracts the active vacationer as well as those seeking a relaxed get-away. The house has beautiful scenic views from the deck in the back of the house. The fireplace and quaint cottage feel provide a wonderful retreat. The amenities to the club (which are available in season) must be transferred to the guest by the owner. The Owner maintains the Sports Membership. For $300.00 for 30 days, first time guests have unlimited use of the clay tennis court, the pickle ball court, the swimming pool, recreation center and fitness center. The Owner must transfer the membership to the guest. Additionally, guests can play as they go at the 18 hole Willard Byrd golf course, and have use of the club dining room. Our fitness center also has a separate cardio room with all new state of the art equipment (tread mills, spin bikes, stair master, rowing machine, etc. ) All of the equipment in the fitness and cardio center was installed in April, 2024. Yoga and stretch and tone classes are also held week days at the fitness center. Beech Mountain is located 5500 feet above sea level, and is walking distance to Ski Beech Mountain and 5 minutes from Sugar Mountain. There is fine dining in casual restaurants as well as shopping. There is an additional guest fee per stay of $50.00 if there are more than 6 guests. There is also a non-refundable $200.00 pet deposit. One one small dog is permitted. Legal Beech Bum has a nice, new clean look for 2024. The interior was painted and updated. Come relax and enjoy my paradise! This place was perfect for our first family ski trip. It's a great location just across from Beech Mountain Ski Resort and just up the mountain from Banner Elk. The house is cozy, but had plenty of room for four adults. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen included all we needed for meals. The dishwasher is a bit noisy so we ended up washing dishes by hand. Other than that everything we good. It snowed while we were there and we made a nice fire in the fireplace. We loved watching the birds and deer. We also enjoyed Fred's General Store, Banner Elk Cafe, a pizza place, and a BBQ joint. It was a nice little winter wonderland ahead of Christmas. Thank you for a great home base for our trip!

This was the perfect spot to see the summer concert series. Easily within walking distance. Communication with the owners was excellent. There is one full bathroom and a half bath. The porch was perfect to watch the deer and relax on. We really enjoyed our stay here and would return.

Great property but the listing stated loft had 2 beds which was not the case. We had a blow up mattress and the loft was tiny.

The location was perfect since we were visiting friends literally one street away. The weather was beautiful most of the days, the kids loved the house and the set up was overall very cute and inviting! Thank you so much!

This is a perfect location and a great place to stay! The house is clean and the deck is a perfect place to sit out and enjoy the summer. We usually stay for the summer concert series and always have a really great time.

Love the house, great big screen TVs, great shower. And really good clean linens. Nothing negative to say. Mountain roads were tough to navigate, but fortunately Waze was on the job.

Our stay was fantastic and the house was perfect! Weather was typical for the high country mountains, afternoon / evening storms but gorgeous during the day and a lot cooler than home. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house due to our plans but the time there was relaxing and plenty of room for our group to unwind after or days of touring and racing in Banner Elk. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time in the cabin. The new sofa and bedroom furniture was very comfortable. The bedding and towels were soft and cozy. We chose this property because of the availability of using the Club's amenities. ( Be aware, the club now charges a $200 transfer fee above what you will spend on the golf course and at the restaurants.) We cooked in a lot and could have used a sheet pan and a tea pitcher. But, that is very minor compared to the nice time we had in the cabin.

The cabin was perfect. The living room and kitchen were much larger than we expected. It had pretty much anything you’d need. We read another review that mentioned a lack of casserole dishes. That was helpful as we just picked up disposable aluminum foil pans on the way. We sure were hoping for snow. We got rain. A lot of rain. When it wasn’t raining, the deck was lovely and our dog most certainly enjoyed the deer family. We picked up a lot of mud on our shoes while walking the dog and hiking. It may have been there, but we simply couldn’t find a dust pan. Ended up sweeping the dirt into a little pile in the corner. The Wifi was strong and the TV picture was really good. Day 1: We went for a hike and explored Beech Mtn and Banner Elk Day 2: Went snowtubing at Sugar Day 3: Went skiing at Beech. Conditions were terrible! There’s nothing anyone can do about the weather, but we still had a lovely time! Thank you.

If you are looking for a great location, value and responsive owner this is the place for you. We could have not asked for a more convenient location as Beech Mountain Resort was very busy. The home itself is dated but we came to explore the outdoors and have easy access to the slopes. The owner was super responsive to any questions and needs.

This place is small and cozy. Across the street from Beech Mountain Ski Resort. Perfect for when there is no parking. Says it sleeps 6, with a loft area for sleeping, however it is in one of the 2 bedrooms and very high up. They do provide an air mattress, which came in handy. If you plan on cooking much, there is very limited cooking utensils i.e. cookie sheets, casserole dishes, spatulas etc. I do understand that being a vrbo property, that people 'steal' or break things 😕 Also, is you plan on getting groceries to cook, stop in neighboring larger towns for them as there is only ONE grocery/ski rental/deli store with limited supplies. Eating out is hit or miss. Everything closes very early and limited menus consisting of mostly pizza... Overall, great little place, location was perfect and had Everything we needed except for the small things mentioned.

It was a nice family weekend getaway. Loved the gated deck. Was perfect since our dog traveled with us. We didn’t have to worried about her slipping out the door and being lost in an unfamiliar place.

The cabin is super cute! It's plenty of space for a family on a weekend getaway. The neighboring units are close enough to feel like you're not completely isolated, but far enough away to afford privacy. The beds and furniture are comfortable and well-kept. The kitchen has the necessities, and the appliances were clean and in working condition. We would definitely love to book this place again! One suggestion we would offer is to add more lighting--in fall/winter/inclement weather, the windows and the lamps provided aren't really enough light to get around. I found myself having to use my phone flashlight in the evenings. Also, the front door doesn't seem to close all the way. It locks and feels secure, but there is a gap between the door and the doorframe near the bottom that might be problematic come winter.

The house was a little more rustic than I imagined. Since one of the closets was locked by the owner and the other one was filled with cleaning items, there was very little in the way of hanging room. One television did not work at all. The lighting was not very good, but the washer/dryer was great. All in all we were happy and it was much better than a hotel room!

The property's location is great and within walking distance to the coffee shop, restaurants and the ski area. A highlight is watching the deer everyday from the gated deck. Suggestions for improvement would be a Teflon skillet, new silverware and improved deck furniture. Overall it is a good value rental for the area. We will return to the property.

This was a great place for our little group (3 adults & 1 dog). Berkeley enjoyed deer watching at the window. The gated deck also gave her plenty of outdoor time. The place was very clean. Beds were comfortable to pass out in after a day of hiking. Central location to all activities we were interested in (i.e. white water rafting, Grandfather Mountain, zip lining, etc.). Will definitely be staying here again.
