About this house rental
Nestled in Bodega Bay, this lovely house for $898 per night is a great option for your next trip. Located in a quiet neighborhood, the front of the home features an amazing view of Bodega Bay and marina along a with natural landscaping on each side. The home has a private, secluded feel while being walking distance to several restaurants. The backyard borders Bodega Dunes state park, walk 15 minutes through the backyard on the dunes to a secluded ocean beach. Explore a little further and go to Bodega Head where gray whales tend to come the closest to the shore. The house itself welcomes you to a spacious redwood front deck, wrapping around the house with a built-in Jacuzzi and outside shower. Step through the front door and feel right at home with the brightly lit open floor plan. The living room windows look out onto the deck with a scenic view of Bodega Bay. Feel cozy with the gas fireplace in the evening hours. Feel like you stepped into luxurious rustic home decorated to bring out the true experience of being on the coast. In the dining area, the hand-built wood slab table seats 8 people. With a full set of serving and dining ware, you have all you need to cook your favorite meal. Directly adjacent to the dining room is the newly remodeled kitchen. Hand built wood cabinets and modern equipment make it both inviting and functional. Stainless steel fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster combine with a fully functional brand new gas stove. Step outside through the French doors and barbecue on our gas grill. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, both feature French doors opening up to the deck. One room includes a California King Bed and the other two twin beds. The downstairs bathroom has a bathtub. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and bathroom. The main bedroom with King bed is spacious with high ceilings and bay windows with seating area, perfect for reading a book or gazing out onto the bay. The queen size bedroom overlooks the garden. The remodeled light-filled bathroom has a large window overlooking the dunes and an oversize shower. All bedrooms feature premium linens and lots of storage. In the backyard, the wraparound deck leads to a private detached cottage. With a foldout sofa, table and TV with DVD player, the cottage is a perfect private hideaway for reading. Kids love this space to play house, full of games and toys. The two lounge chairs and a round table on front deck is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine. The table in the garden is a lovely place for dinner during sunset. The outdoor shower is fun in the sun. At night, relax and watch the stars in the Jacuzzi. Enjoy the secluded privacy that the house and garden offer, or step out and in minutes you can check out the casual neighborhood of Bodega Bay Marina where you can try famous clam chowder at Spud Point Crab Company or go for an amazing dinner to Michelin star restaurant Terrapin Creek located just 15 minutes walking from the house. To create a memorable experience, we have infused the house with hand crafted furniture, original art, and books and magazines. There is plenty of parking in front of the property.

House is as advertised. We appreciated the location being away from the busier parts of Bodega Bay, and it has a nice view. We especially liked that we could walk out the back, and hike 3/4 mile over sand dunes to a quiet beach. We liked having a hot tub with it's view of the Bay, though it is noisy.

What a perfect home for our family. The view was spectacular. We did not cook much but everything you would need is available.
We had a great time and only wish our stay was longer.
My only small suggestion was for scissors handy in the kitchen to open our coffee.

stay was good. only thing i noticed is that the most convenient door next to an uphill driveway to unload your bags did not open at all and you had to walk around to the back to drop off all your luggage.

This house is perfect. It is well appointed, clean, quiet, and has plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the beautiful views of Bodega Bay. Each of the four bedrooms is very comfortable and spacious. Great location too-You can walk through the sand dunes to the ocean or can walk (or bike) to a few local restaurants and the Marina. A truly relaxing beach getaway. Thank you!!

We extended a family reunion with a few local relatives and enjoyed the cool air and the beach nearby.
The house was perfect for our family, mostly adults and two small kids. The only issue was the steep driveway for our older family members to walk up and the taller beds for them to get into.
Great location if you want a quiet and relaxing space to spread out, cook great food and visit.

We loved our time at this house. Traveled with two families, both families two adults and two kids. The house was perfect for the kids as they had lots of area to explore outside the house and play hide and seek indoors. The location was perfect and allowed for walks to coffee shops, restaurants, and beaches. Look forward to staying here again.

Great for two couples with 2 king bedrooms (beds are very comfortable.) The views are amazing and the location is between the bay and the ocean. You can hike behind the house and find the shore. Perfect getaway for hanging out with friends.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glasses and cooking gear.

Bodega stay
Excellent location and beautiful view of the bay. Close to restaurants and lots of places to hike. Loved the hot tub. We accidentally turned off the pilot light on the fireplace and the owners were super quick and helpful walking us through an easy fix. Lots of outdoor space and living space. Would definitely rent again.

Family birthday
We celebrated my father’s 92 nd birthday with grandchildren and great grandchildren. The house is beautiful and the location and view perfect.. Had a few minor issues but was able to talk with Monika and they were taken care of. Hopefully we will be able to return someday.

Great view and location
The views and location this property has to offer is outstanding. The beds were very comfortable, the showers had hot water, and the kitchen was well stocked. The trail behind the house to the beach was somewhat challenging but doable and nice for private access. However, upon check in we found none of the 3 TVs had working remotes and when we went to enjoy the jacuzzi that evening the heat wasn't even turned on. The TV in the shed was just for decoration since the DVD didn't work either. We tried to contact the owner via VRBO message but did not get a reponse till the following evening before our check out. We appreciated the early check in but could've done without the TV issues and poor communication since it left our teenagers pretty irritated.

Much needed breath
Gorgeous, bright, open, beautiful, perfect. My mom is a cancer survivor, during covid, and not being comfortable going anywhere and fearful. This place was the FIRST place she has been and it was perfect. She cried. Thank you.

However, there is one heating source - the gas fireplace - with ZERO instructions on use. There are many signs for what NOT to do in the house. There is little-to-no instruction for how things work (fireplace, hot tub, etc.)
Our family left to get food, returned to fireplace out, with no pilot light. We received one message from the owner saying it was run by the thermostat ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM. When I reached out to say that it seemed like the pilot light was out (so it couldn't function with the thermostat), I received no return message for the remainder of our stay. We had to use the space heaters for any warmth (50 degrees most days).

The hot tub was clean but no one in our group are keen to get in one that is not at our home so we did not use it. We would be happy to stay again on our next trip.

DVD did not work in cottage so boys couldn’t watch anything out there. Fireplace stop working on Wednesday. Starting up after propane delivered on Friday. Hot tub nice but no chlorine in dispenser. Only 4 beach towels to use after using hot tube- should have eight. No napkins which would have been nice. Trail to beach a challenge especially for a four year old. Hopefully some of these suggestions will make it more inviting.
