What a beautiful historic home with stunning views of the lake. We were a group of 21 and it was one of the first times we had enough bedrooms for everyone. There were also plenty of bathrooms and having the attached apartment to use also was a bonus. It was the perfect spot for my son, his wife and the baby. As with any older home there are maintenance issues, but they were quickly addressed by the host. The stairs down to the lake give you a nice workout, but it was well worth it once you got down there. The kids loved using the kayaks and we even rented a boat for two days. The lake water has a lot of algae in it so swimming is a little bit of a challenge. That was not too much of an issue for us because the temperatures were a little colder. There is lots of good fishing off of the dock. My grandsons had a great time down there. Having multiple refrigerators was a bonus. There is a large one in the kitchen, one just outside of the kitchen, and one in the apartment. With a large group, it was wonderful to be able to use one of them strictly for beverages.Mary Beth was absolutely wonderful with helpful information, helping with additional needs that we had, and just making sure we had a wonderful stay. We would absolutely rent this property again.

This property is BEAUTIFUL! More than met our expectations for our family fishing trip! We’ve already requested a booking for next year! The property host is excellent with communication and ensuring our needs were met! 5 STARS should be 10 STARS if VRBO allows!

Our 24th year to gather as a family (that continues to grow). This space gave us plenty of bedrooms and living space to be together. Things we did and enjoyed: game tables, sitting on the porch overlooking the lake, kayaking, games/puzzles, fire in the firepit, grilled dinner. We rented a boat one day and explored the lake. There are several small towns with different things to do within 10 min - 1 hour. Highly recommend.

We had an an amazing trip and loved the location. Everything we needed was available and the living room, dining room area was so spacious great for entertaining. The porch outside was very comfortable and the view of the lake was incredible. I would recommend that the showers and mattresses get an update for more comfort during the visit.
