The house is in serious need of a thorough cleaning. I have pictures if anyone is interested.

When we checked in we were turned away at the gate because it was 2:00 and check in was 3:00. They wouldnt even let us sit by the pool.
The manufactured home was in a good locaton and on a canal. It needed many repairs and deep cleaning. Window and door screens were ripped and towel rack was falling off the wall. I would not stay here again. We actually left 2 days early.

Not very clean, very poorly stocked kitchen, nothing explaining anything about the property.

Used this place as home base for other activities. Everything was fine. We installed a new air filter for the AC furnace as they had an extra one on standby. The Old one needed replaced. Community is clean. Ppl very nice. Amenities well kept. This unit could use some love here and there, perhaps a thorough deep cleaning but it was fine and comfortable to stay in It’s not fancy but we didn’t need or expect fancy. And We recommend it.

We stayed in Cudjoe key for 5 nightsat Venture Out properties. The place is very big but not overly crowded. The salt water pool was very refreshing. The only thing I wish we knew was that there was another fee we needed to pay when we checked in. I thought the payment we made to the owner of the property was all we needed to pay.

Loved the location and amenities (not the $125 extra), house was ok for the price could have been cleaner. Easy check in, good communication. Thank you!

I recently stayed at a property that left me with mixed feelings. While it wasn't a terrible experience, there were several issues that could have been addressed to make it a more enjoyable stay.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the sheets provided were still damp, which was quite off-putting. It would have been preferable to have clean and dry bedding prepared in advance. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that there was no hose handle supplied, which made certain tasks inconvenient.
The most significant inconvenience occurred when the air conditioning broke down for a prolonged period of eight hours. Considering the discomfort caused by the lack of cooling in the room, I inquired about the possibility of finding alternative accommodations while traveling with a boat. However, eventually, the issue was fixed, and I decided to stay.
To the host's credit, they acknowledged the inconvenience and offered a $100 discount after I requested it. Unfortunately, they failed to follow through with this offer, leaving me disappointed and feeling undervalued as a guest. It's important for hosts to honor their commitments and deliver on promised compensations.
Despite these shortcomings, the property itself was not bad. However, it would greatly benefit from some improvements and maintenance. Attention to detail, such as ensuring the sheets are dry and providing necessary amenities like a hose handle, would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience for guests.
In conclusion

Great location on Cudjoe Key. Close enough to all the reasons we come to the Keys.

Overall a great location in the middle-lower keys if you have a boat. Comfortable and the amenities are awesome. The home is comfortable and ideal for a weekend getaway. Outside canal side lights and fixtures didn’t work, but otherwise nice place to relax and recreate.

Great location. Can’t beat the price, location, and propety.

I love how we were out of the heavy tourist area of key west. The local restaurants were good. We’ve stayed in this community before but seems the rules have become even more strict. The gate guards are friendly and helpful. The only two negatives to this property were the lack of cleanliness of the back porch/exterior and there are no tvs in the bedrooms. Warning when walking in the front door your going thru a small bedroom with a narrow area to get to common areas. I will stay in this community again.

Great experience. Unit was nice as advertised. Only a little external maintenance is needed. We'd stay here again. Staff & amenities were great!

The house was nice. The one bedroom was tight to get around in. The bed needed repairs but they sent a guy over to fix it. Overall it was a good location. Could use some updating but it was clean and kept us cool.

The house was very clean and well stocked. The Venture Out subdivision was well maintained and secured via gate and manned security. Our mornings were relaxing sitting in screened porch overlooking the canal. The bayside tiki huts and views were relaxing. Breeze and full moon added to an excellent stay. Thank you!

The place itself was decent. However the floors have not been swept or mopped in ages. One walk around the house and your feet were black. The screened in porch had balls of dirt and hair. The bathroom corners and baseboards were like a high traffice truckstop. I am not a neat freak but the house was dirty!

Very good experience. The $$ to Venture Out was not included in the rental cost and fees for use of the amenities.

Unit was ok. Could use some refreshing, like paint.
The one worst thing is....
the floors were filthy.
Once we noticed how dirty they were we kept our socks on all the time. As there was no mop we couldn't even clean it.
Except for that issue it was very good and yes, I'd stay there again.
We had a very good time there and enjoyed ourselves.

This cottage was the perfect vacation retreat for my husband and me. It sits on a lovely canal and there are beautiful ocean views within easy walking distance. It is a secure, gated community. We spent a lot of our time in Key West. It was an easy drive and the perfect distance to get away from all of the traffic and crowds at the end of the day. We had everything we needed in this cute home.

Nice Resort
The cottage was adequately furnished and kitchen, living room and dining aera were open and flowed nicely into each other. The back of cottage affords easy access to the cannel/channel from which you can fish. The front door opens into a bedroom for which we were unprepared but quickly adjusted to the unusual layout. Cudjoe is a small town with a couple of small beaches and easy access to Key West 22 minutes by car and 30 minutes to Marathon. The Keys have a lot of diverse activities and we enjoyed staying in the area.

Overall, very nice community—felt safe & is a perfect distance away from Key West.

Well placed vacation home
This property is very comfortable, conveniently located between the different keys and only 30 mins to Key West. The boat dock is great, (Hose needed though for after trip was down). The patio is nice for a relaxing evening (it does leak when it rains a bit) but simply move the table a few feet and your all good. The beds are very comfortable, the pull out coach is good for kids "only" or last minute friend use. (Not comfortable at all) that said the Central A/C is amazing and keeps every room very cold. The master bedroom vent does blow in your face though.
Cooking: bring a pan or two as the ones there have definitely served their purpose and need to retire. Coffee pot (traditional) worked great and there were filters left there as well. Ice maker and water dispenser on the fridge didn't work, so we got ice from the little store they have which is within walking distance (4 mins). Though they were not responsible for providing cleaning supplies they did make sure we had enough essentials for a day or so until we got to the store. (Very kind!) WinnDixie is located in Big Pine Key and takes about 15 mins to get too, and stock up on goods and cases of water. Aside from the home needing a little TLC, it was a great stay and everything worked great; and the property manager was fast to respond and very friendly.
Venture Out: If like us you bring a Boat call a head and make sure they have overflow parking available; they do charge $10.00 per day for any "trailer" over 20 feet.
Overall: Great stay, Great property manager and very comfortable and homey property!

The place is absolutely perfect. It is a great size for just my mom and I. It was in a perfect location. It had all amenities you would need. Conveniently has a little store not far away along with pools, laundry, and showers. Overall very satisfied and would love to return

This place is right on the canal. It takes 2 minutes to get to open water. It’s also a 1/2 drive to Key West. The house was clean and had a nice porch overlooking the water. We enjoyed our stay here.

This was our first trip to the Keys. I personally had been in all 50 states, but I had never been south of Miami. We were excited to be going and decided a VRBO would be our best bet. We decided on Cudjoe Key because it’s just north of Key West and was a good location for our sightseeing adventure! When we got to the rental, we were pleased at first although it was a bit small but still seemed doable for the 3 of us (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms). In our first walk-through we noted that one screen was torn out and flopping out of its frame in the wind on the porch/deck overlooking the canal. Other screens were torn. We called and spoke to Jennifer (I guess she’s the manager) and she said she had noted this that morning and would have someone out the next morning to fix it. Nobody ever showed up. The screen stayed unmended the entire time we were there. I am allergic to wasps and bees so I didn’t risk sitting out there too much. Also, the sliding screen door is VERY hard to open and close, which was mentioned in previous reviews, so it’s been noted before but never fixed. Also, the shower in the hallway bathroom didn’t drain very well. By the time my cousin said she had finished showering she was up to her ankles in water. Also, the toilet in the master bedroom (en suite) had trouble flushing and backed up on me once where I had to use the plunger. We FINALLY got it to flush but I’d venture to say there is a problem with the drainage system in this rental. Also, the ice maker and water dispenser in the fridge doesn’t work. I wish we had known that before we got there but we got some ice the next morning and bottled water. Going forward, I don’t believe we’ll rent another Susan Rich property, as they appear to be poorly maintained.

This was a nice place, in a good atmosphere. As soon as we arrived we seen many cockroaches in the kitchen. We took many pictures and contacted the host. She didn’t care and ignored my texts after we spoke on the phone.

Nice, clean house with 2 bedrooms / 2 bathroom to host 4 adults, in worst case up to 6 adults could sleep there, if the sofabed is used.
A/C works great (low noise, no odor), whereas some other items show traces of their age, but still working fine.
Club area (swimming pool, billiard, ping-pong etc) is nice, too, but there's no restaurant (at least we didn't find any). Good restaurants within 5 minutes drive though.
