Peaceful Edgartown Retreat - Clean, Renovated, Central Location
About this house rental
Located in a secluded, private Edgartown neighborhood. Tastefully furnished, with hardwood floors throughout. The first floor has a gourmet kitchen with all essentials and more, including dishwasher, lobster pot, Keurig coffee machine, toaster, and microwave. The kitchen opens to a large living/dining room area with a table that seats at least 10 (and expands for more if needed). Off the living/dining room is a TV room with large flat-screen TV and armoire with tons of games for adults & kids. Also off the living/dining room is a master bedroom with queen bed and en suite bathroom with washer/dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a bathroom, and a hallway nook with a daybed that easily accommodates an extra child or adult sleeper. The daybed faces another large flat-screen TV. Window A/C units and fans are provided upstairs and downstairs. Baseboard heating with two zones. This peaceful vacation home is situated on one acre in a wooded, private association three miles from Edgartown center, next door to the Vineyard Golf Club, and centrally located for convenient access to the whole island. Private tennis courts, a short walk from the house, are available for free to all guests. The house is located steps from the bike path, providing easy, safe biking access for the whole family to virtually the entire island, including Morning Glory Farm and Edgartown center and beaches. In addition to the above, amenities also include outdoor shower, deck with table & chairs, Weber gas grill, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards & toys, Xfinity cable, WiFi, Apple TV, tennis rackets & balls, fishing poles & tackle, and an air mattress for extra guests if needed. Linens & towels are provided. No pets.

This was a return trip to this house and it was as perfect this time as last time. Comfortable furnishings, well stocked kitchen and huge table for eating and playing. Short drive to the beach without any traffic.

We would definitely stay in Matt’s house again. Close to town, shops, and restaurants.
Wonderful area if you have children. House is very well stocked, clean, and very comfortable.

We needed a place in mid September to attend a family wedding on the Vineyard to accommodate five adults. Matthew’s home was a perfect find for us in a lovely residential quiet area close to Edgartown. The home was extremely well furnished with a professional kitchen and it really felt like home away from home. It had all the Wi-Fi and entertainment ready to go as well as a nice deck off the side with an excellent gas grill which we used for two nights. We are already plotting our next return to this home! We were visiting MV for a family wedding and this house turned out to be perfect for my wife, my five adult children and me. The house is well-maintained and all the furniture is in great shape. The large dining table was perfect for our game nights. The deck was spacious with a grill and nice-sized table that led to very nice "hanging out" time for the family after beach days. The decorative touches throughout were really pleasing, giving the property a very comfortable vibe.
Location was convenient, close enough drive to both downtown Edgartown and Oak Bluffs for visits. South Beach (our favorite on the Island) is also not too far of a ride. Morning Glory Farm is a short ride for morning coffee and pastries, as well.
Matt, the owner was a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Very helpful and communicative.
Overall, you can't go wrong with this house. We intend to stay again next Summer if our vacation schedules allow.

This was a wonderful little cottage! A colleague and I stayed here since hotels were fully booked. It had everything one could possibly need and was well appointed. It was also in a location that was a close drive to anything one would want to access.
I had an issue on checkout, and the property owner was very understanding, which we so appreciated.

I can't say enough positive things about this property. First off, Matt was a superb host. His communication is fantastic. Clear check-in and check-out instructions with several house manuals regarding the ins and outs of the property along with the surrounding areas. He is quick to respond to any questions. The property was immaculate upon check-in, is spacious and quiet and serene. The house is stocked with everything you could need and more. I would 100% stay here again and any property that Matt rents. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a fantastic week in this home. It’s well-maintained, clean, and in a great location. I was thrilled not to pack sheets, bath towels, and they even provided keurig cups for morning coffee! We’ll definitely be back.

Home is newer, with spacious, with large windows, nice kitchen , bath and laundry room updates. It was very clean and extremely well stocked , kitchen and bath. I appreciated the beach chairs, South Beach or Edgartown only 10 minutes away.

Lovely home in the woods!
My friends and I had a wonderful time at this home. The house had everything we needed and was super clean. The owner was so accommodating and very responsive. We will definitely stay here on our next visit!

This was a getaway with three couples to celebrate a birthday. The house accommodated three couples perfectly. We did a combination of dining out and taking advantage of the grill and outdoor dining space. The kitchen was well stocked. Very close to the bike trails. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Awesome rental!
We came for a girls getaway and loved it! The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Everything was very clean and you can tell a lot of care goes into the home and making it suitable for guests. The house has a beautiful kitchen with everything you might need. The home is located just a short drive to the shops and beaches, in a very quiet, private neighborhood. This is one of our favorite rentals on the vineyard so far and we will definitely be back and highly recommend! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!

Well equipped fabulous property
First off, it is much nicer than it appears online! The house is super clean, roomy and in a nice area. We really did not have to pack anything but our clothing The owners manual re the house and the area was well put together We appreciated the short, traffic free drive to the beach and the close proximity of the bike trails We made use of the tennis courts, the blender, the deck, the grill, yardspace for games and can we talk about the supply of K cups! I loved that everyone could fit at the tables inside and out I truly couldn't be happier with how easy and comfortable our stay was, Thanks Matthew!

Family of 4 (with two teens)
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at MV! The house exceeded our expectations, allowing us space to spread out in the large dining area and the family room off the kitchen (which has a door to drown out other noise if you want that separate space to read or watch tv.) Owners went out of their way to accommodate our needs during this challenging summer of 2020!! We would absolutely rent here again!

The house was super clean. Everything was extremely organized. There wasn't an amenity missing. The best part was that the linens and towels were all included. I would highly recommend this house to rent on MV!
