Amazing Waterfront Home! Westside of San Juan Island!! Whale View Haven! This remodeled home that sleeps 6, located on the Westside of San Juan Island, is the perfect getaway for groups or couples wanting to relax and enjoy what the island has to offer. Enjoy watching wildlife off the water-view deck as the local birds enjoy the bird feeders, and maybe spot a harbor seal playing in the water below. The renovated gourmet kitchen boasts 2 ovens, stone counter tops, stainless steel appliances and fully stocked cookware. The kitchen is situated to enjoy the expansive views while preparing your meals. You may catch a glimpse of a passing Orca Whale while pouring your morning coffee! The primary bedroom located on the main floor has a King size bed and a grand view of the water. The picture-window in the primary bedroom can be opened up to enjoy a cool breeze as you wake up. The main floor queen bedroom also has a view of the water. Between the two main-floor bedrooms in the hallway you will find the full bathroom. The downstairs extra sleeping room feels like a separate wing of the home with a sitting area, an attached bathroom, and a Queen-Sized bed overlooking the water. A perfect getaway for a few couples or small family with older children. Families with small children should use caution with this high bank waterfront. This house is equipped with mini-split heat/cool systems in the main level TV/Dining area and in the downstairs area only. There is NO Cell Coverage at this property. Long Distance is provided. The Wifi supplied at this property is adequate enough for making calls on your personal cell. **For safety reasons the wood burning stove is not available for guest use. Pets are not allowed at this property. Please be advised, yard maintenance may occur during your stay. The internet / Wi-fi at this house should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing. The location is everything when coming to san juan island! amazing views from most rooms. very comfortable stay, plenty of room for me and 2 teens. well stocked kitchen and plenty of hang out space. we will be back

The view is everything that was advertised and the kitchen area was terrific for gathering and spending time with family. However, I wouldn't go back. We took brief showers, but only one person had hot water -- it ran out almost immediately. The beds were well worn and lumpy. The house was clean, but there was a bit of a musty smell that permeated. A tankless water heater and new beds are in order for this location. Frankly, I expected more for the money.

The house is located with an excellent view of Haro Strait and the deck is great for an evening meal. We've vacationed several times on San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez, and think this was one of the best places we've stayed. My only caution might be renting this house during warmer months. Almost none of the windows open, so towards the end of the day the west facing living room/bedrooms can get pretty warm.

This is a great property with incredible views and easy access to sights all around the island. We would highly recommend it and very much enjoyed our stay.

Super clean and comfortable property, amazing view, right up the Strait from Lime Kiln State Park. We saw two pods of orcas, J and L, a Minke whale, sea otters, porpoises, and lots of jumping salmon. We truly hope we get the opportunity to visit again next summer.

The house gave you easy access to all the parks and marinas. Sitting on the deck was peaceful and rejuvenating. Seeing the Orcas one evening was a plus as well. Highly recommend.

We absolutely loved Whale View Haven. The view was amazing!! We saw whales, hummingbirds and many other beautiful birds from the house. The house was very well stocked and comfortable. I would love to return here in the future.

Easy to find and access. View is spectacular. We saw porpoises and seals and whales. A mama deer and her baby were just hanging out in the yard. Kitchen is fully stocked with all the equipment you need and there’s even a spice drawer! Beds were comfy and open windows helped keep the place breezy and cool. Basement bathroom sink was clogged, but we just used the sinks upstairs so it wasn’t a big deal. Property manager addressed it promptly, however, and offered to send someone out. The island is incredible and we had an amazing time exploring. Will definitely be back.

Ample room for our family with a great view and modern features. We spent the weekend here and were very pleased with everything. Binoculars and telescope were lots of fun and there were plenty of games to be played. A stairway down the cliff let us get to the water for some great sunsets. Lots of screened ventilation meant we went to bed to the sounds of the waves and woke to birdsong. We would absolutely stay again.

Amazing sums up the trip. We saw orcas on two different days, once just a few hundred feet off shore. Plus otters, seals and birds all from the deck. Watching the cargo and cruise ships was also fun. Our boys loved the game closet. The house was well maintained and stocked--we've stayed in several VRBO homes and this one was great!

A beautiful location and our second year at this spot. So I was surprised to find hand soap that was watered down, a toaster that did not toast and a coffee maker that took 20 plus minutes to make 2 cups of coffee. The TV appeared to offer many stations but all appeared to require an extra charge. We brought our ROKU and connected to the system.
The house rental cost increased 40% from last year, yet the owners appeared to do nothing to improve/ maintain their home.

All round great - amazing view, great location, very comprehensive kitchen equipment. A little more rustic-cabin and less house-in-the-country that was perhaps apparent in the photos, but we liked that. Wish we could have used the wood stove.
