About this bed and breakfast
Cosy bungalow with ensuite, beachy decor, extremely comfortable queen sized bed Cont. breakfast is provided. Very private, roomy, detached from main house, ideal for a couple; foxtel included in the tarrif. We are a very well travelled couple who love to talk to people from all backgrounds and walks of life. The house is 90 secs drive/5 mins walk to one of Victoria's best swimming and fishing beaches, 10 min walk to ferry, 4 mins drive to 5 top wineries and the golf club. An excellent and silent reverse cycle air con /heater original open fireplace approx 40 yrs old, ideal for those cold winter nights, even cold summer nights. We supply firewood for an extra $12 per fire. 48 inch TV, usb port for you own faves, but we also have foxtel, inc. movies and lifestyle channels. 'Fridge, microwave, toaster. toasted sandwich maker. Tea/ plunger coffee, biscuits, shampoo, conditioner supplied. continental breakfast inc. home made bread and jams, cereal, milk, yoghurt, tea/coffee, Guests can use our laundry if needed and iron/ironing board. Weber BBQ available for your convenience. Any ripe in-season fruit/vegetables from our garden may be consumed whilst staying in The Bungalow Our backyard is your backyard. We offer a local pick up and drop off service if we are home. P.O.A. We supply firewood for an extra $12 per fire.

what an amazing property . we arrived to be met by Denise and Ian who showed us through .the included breakfast was sensational with home made Bread and jams made from fruit from the garden . chocolate slice for afternoon tea ! on leaving we were sent off with plums and rhubarb from the garden . easily the best stayz property weve stayed in . 10 stars !

Neat, cosy, very comfortable cottage, perfect position for exploring the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. Welcoming hosts who provided everything we needed, as well as a lovely few extras. Would definitely stay here again!

It was just what we needed. Host and hostess friendly and helpful, the room was extremely clean and tidy, bed comfortable. Milk, bread, three kinds of cereal, home-made biscuits and a fruit bowl waiting for us when we arrived. Surrounded by garden and a short walk to the view of the bay. We enjoyed it very much.

Ferry stop over
What a lovely couple to stay with, despite being a short walk into town we were met at the ferry and given a lift to the cute, comfy little studio. Definitely recommend Little Mussel cafe too, delicious. Thank you for recommendations and Easter treats!

A gorgeously decorated and equipped little place perfect,
The hosts have thoughtfully equipped and decorated their guest space. It was perfect for our overnight visit to attend a wedding nearby. Beautifully cleaned, neat and tidy. Close to wineries, beach and town a great little get away location for couples. The hosts were such lovely people and incredibly helpful. I’ll Definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Thanks for having us.

Denise explained how to use all appliances in the bungalow and was delightful. Meet Ian on the last day and we enjoyed a nice chat, with both he and Denise being perfect hosts. Bed was comfy, telly was huge, nice couch and dining set up. All the little extras were greatly appreciated and topped off a great experience. Quality beverages, fruit, sweets and spreads (some homemade), to name a few. We recommended the bungalow to friends we caught up with at lunchtime after our first night, so impressed we were less than 24 hours after check in. After 3 nights, our recommendation is stronger. Thanks Denise and Ian!!

A Peaceful Beach Getaway Delight😀
We had a wonderful, restful week at the cosy bungalow. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Our welcoming and friendly hosts Ian and Denise made sure we had everything we needed to make our holiday enjoyable. We will definitely be back! 😀

We stayed for one night as a stopover on the way back to Mornington Peninsula and chose the location to be close enough to the golf courses and Queenscliff-Sorrento ferry, which were 20 minutes away. The location was nice and quiet and the bungalow is clean and well presented. We were greeted by the host Ian who helped with our luggage and gave a briefing on the facilities and provided helpful local knowledge on dining options.
Denise provides some lovely home-made extras (cookies & jams) and the fridge is stocked with all you need for a light continental breakfast.
The bed was very comfortable and the aircon ensured we could keep the summer heat at bay.
The need to park on the street (albeit in a small court) was a negative for us, especially as our car was the only one on the in the court.
Overall it was a lovely stay and Ian and Denise were friendly and engaging.
If we'd realised how close we were to the Bellarine wineries, we might have considered a longer stay

The property was very clean and very comfortable. A peaceful place. Gorgeous garden and lovely hosts, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. We really appreciated the lovely personal touches such as the baked cookies, fresh fruit and loaf of bread. The breakfast supplies were second to none. Thanks so much, we enjoyed our stay very much. Denise was fantastic host accomodating us at short notice. The place was perfect and spotless. Only wish we could've stayed long to enjoy it more - there's always next time :)

SIMPLY THE BEST
As accommodation operators looking for a short break the Cosy Bungalow presented us with one of, if not the best short stays we have ever had. We are always on the lookout for ways to improve our own business and the Cosy Bungalow has given us a high standard to meet. Comfortable, stylish and well appointed there is nothing more to say than "Bravo". Welcoming hosts and hospitality beyond our expectation. This is now our firm favorite. We'll be back soon!

Weekend Stay
We stayed for Friday/Saturday night at The Cosy Bungalow. We had a wedding close by. It was a very peaceful environment, cute and clean with all the possible (and more) amenities you might need for a weekend stay.

Had a lovely stay arrived to a very quaint well equipped bungalow, freshly baked bread and cookies were on the kitchen table and the room very luxurious! Even had foxtel, home away from home.. definitely will book this place when I stay in Portarlington - a big thank you to Denise..

A very nice surprise
We were booked in here for one night as we were going to a wedding close by. I hadn't put much thought into it because all we needed was somewhere to get ready and a place to crash. What a lovely surprise it was. We now wish we had have stayed more than one night and made a mini holiday of it.
The bungalow was so clean and comfortable with many extras. Just beautiful. Thanks Denise. I'm hoping for a return.
