We have stayed at this property twice. Overall we like it due to its size (good for a large group of people) and it’s proximity to the beach. Our only issue this stay was one of the toasters had mouse droppings in it.

Our vacation was super fun. Rental was clean and spacious. Perfect location. We explored the beach and other close towns. Big hit with the family. The only thing that put any damper on our stay were all 6 cameras. (All Outside). We felt like someone was always watching us. Grandkids didn’t like them either.
This was very odd. Not sure we would stay at that rental again. Everything else was very nice and we appreciate how easy peezy it was for all of us to get there.

Great location. Well-equipped kitchen. Responsive rental agency. Very comfortable living room. Only downsides were electronics: entry code didn't work, no internet, couldn't get TV to work. However, we were enjoying our vacation so much none of the above challenges mattered much!

House was beautiful, just like the pictures showed. There were 17 of us total and there was adequate accommodations, parking was great, view was phenomenal. We would defiantly go back to this house

We absolutely loved the house location and it's proximity to the beach. The house was large enough to accommodate 19 of us with a couple extra small children. We have come to Rockaway Beach for 7 of the last 8 years and this was by far the best place we have stayed. If the owners will have my motley crew, we will be back!

House listing was correct with the property. Plenty of room for our large group. Views were amazing. For future renting, if it’s a beach property, you should provide beach towels and beach chairs. We ended up purchasing them and gifting them back to the house. Those small items make a stay more enjoyable.

We loved the property, the location and the surroundings. The only issue we had was trying to unlock the door. The code didn't work, then when we got the key it was stuck in the door. Also, the garbage was already full and little space to put ours. It blew around from the wind. Could use another can or more frequent pickup. But the house was beautiful and the view fantastic, and everything else worked well. Rooms were great and pretty soundproof. Loved seeing the tourist train came through too.

Good location, but poor management.
House was clean at arrival. The communication was very poor with the property manager. Property manager just ignored my messages and didn't respond after initial couple of questions. One bathroom door would not lock. We had to improvise by making signboard for 'in-use'. If the group size is more than 10, two bathrooms are less. There was no bathroom on the upper level. Every morning we ran out of warm water. Top floor was atleast 10 degrees colder than main floor due to poor insulation.

The place was perfect for our large family. 21 of us, all ages. Ample dishes, beds, bedding, towels, etc. The location to the beach couldn't be beat - easy to run back & forth to the house. Short drives to groceries & restaurants. We had to ask for extra trash pick up and the response was fast & friendly. We will likely book this spot again on our next trip - it worked out very well. Problem with our arrival. Only one woman to clean a 5 bedroom house, and she got there to clean at 3:45. P.m. No way could one person other than wonder women do a good job. Nice woman with an impossible task. The bunk beds were not made, etc. No reflection on the cleaning woman. Next, 11 people with 4 rolls of toilet paper, for a 3 night stay, is not enough. We ran out of T. Paper. Ran out of plastic kitchen trash bags.....and laundered kitchen towels. Otherwise the view was great.....beach fantastic....beds comfortable. Note* We did report to the cleaning woman who arrived when we were leaving, that my daughter in law pulled up her dining room chair, only to have the side if her thumb pinched in the crack of one wobbly back chair leg. OUCH! It needs repair. The house was roomy. AND I will add.....If anyone reports a lost piece of costume granddaughter found it in her bed, and has been wearing it. If anyone identifies it, we will be happy to mail it to them. You may give them my emai address. Other than the inconveniences we had, the setting and house was fine. Janet

Kitchen had most everything we needed. But the garbage outside was not emptied upon arrival and smelled awful. They brought a new can when we called but no info for removal. Heater wasn't working correctly and needed better guide. TP was limited as we were there a week. Cleaning could be better. Found several items in the dust and sand under furniture. And the doors had lots of dirty spots and fingerprints. Overall we would recommend The Strand but perhaps increased cleaning. Swiffer under the couches and tables. Wipe off the doors. And perhaps spray for spiders.

The house has a lot of beds and they were comfortable. Location is great as well as the beach nearby. The TV, fireplace and view perfect. I've never left a less than stellar review of a rental before sorry. Reached out to owners prior and never heard back. Almost everything in the kitchen looks like it came from Goodwill or the Dollar store. The "silverware" was in a drawer in a wad held together with a rubber band and are the same utensils I buy for camping and throw away. The walls are dirty and dinged up. The white interior doors and baseboard trim have black scuffs all over them. It looks like 3 toddlers on trikes were turned loose for a weekend. The slider door curtain near kitchen trash can has food stains on it and shower curtain has unidentified stain. The place needs an overhaul. Take $500 to Home Goods and outfit the kitchen and bathrooms. However, if none of these things improved it's a great home for families with little ones they don't want to be worried about making a mess and leaving dings, dents and marks on things.

This was a great location !! We were lucky enough to have empty rentals on the sides so we had the area to ourselves . The beach access was just across the driveway and view was phenomenal . It lacked a some kitchen items but overall very well stocked with linens and everything else. Another bathroom upstairs would have been ideal , but there is not much room for one upstairs. The two biggest rooms are up there, and one is connected to the balcony which has a great view, and is probably such a great spot in the summer ! Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This was a great location !! We were lucky enough to have empty rentals on the sides so we had the area to ourselves . The beach access was just across the driveway and view was phenomenal . Beautiful location, Upper deck is very cool. They need to make access to it from both upstairs bedrooms. They need to put at least a half bath upstairs. One burner did not work, the barbecue was filthy, a few broken screens, the trees could be taken down a bit from obstructing the downstairs view. Other than these mostly minor issues, It was a very nice experience

Great location
This house is on a very quiet beach making it a great spot for families who want to avoid crowds. Highly suggest bringing cleaning supplies- the floors and bathrooms needed to be redone when we arrived.

Enjoyed the spacious rooms, disappointed that the pellet fireplace was out of order and that the bench on the front porch had a board fall off. Other than that very nice. Upper deck, chairs and loungers were fantastic, we spent a lot of time there. The driveway needs repairing and bathtub/shower needed caulking, starting to show black stuff. Other bathroom sink faucet is loose but not leaking. these are minor things that did not take away from the good time we had there. We did not use or need the property management service. It was a short drive to Wheeler were we rented kayaks at Jim's kayak & boat rental for a river paddle, excellant service. We didn't eat out, but got all the supplies we needed at the Dollar General, much lower prices than the market closer to other shopping. I would not recommend 17 people staying there, but 12 - 14 would be comfortable.

the location of the house was great. however, the house is outdated and run down. the house was dirty upon arrival. my kids had to vacuum the carpets in the living area. not enough soap, toilet paper, etc. the garbage bags left were to small for the kitchen garbage can. disappointing for what we paid this house rental.

This was a GREAT house! Just across the street from the beach made zipping to and fro a breeze! The bedrooms were spaced out very nicely for those that wanted to put kids down early or for naps. Loved the hose outside for cleaning up after the beach. The roof porch had stunning views and I look forward to going back when we have nicer weather to be able to enjoy it better. One of the things we liked most was the big dining room table for board and card games. Some houses said they slept 12, but the dining room table only seated 6 or 8, it was nice not to have to eat in shifts. This really was a perfect house for a lot of people. The only negative was that there was a picture of a high chair in the picture, so we told our daughter not to bring hers and then, when we got there, there wasn't one available.

Family Vacation
The Strand Home was so relaxing and bug enough for all the kids and most important the grandkids. Easily short walk to beach several times each day. Opened all the windows to listen to the Ocean and feel the cool air. The beds were very comfortable and plenty. Washer and Dryer worked well and a plus with our size family. Kitchen was well equipped and BBQ was just like home. Large kitchen table fit us all. Thank you.

Wonderful location to beach
We really enjoyed this beach house. We would stay again. There was lots of seating in the living room and kitchen table which is often hard to find. The two bathrooms are on the main floor. Good to note if someone needs a bathroom upstairs at night. The beds were comfortable. No complaints there. We came in March when the weather was just turning a little warmer. We enjoyed the awesome deck by taking blankets outside and snuggled up in them to read stories to the grandchildren while watching the sun set. A fun evening. There is outside access to the upper deck as well as access through the bedroom with the King bed upstairs. The house had everything we needed accept tin foil. Not a standard item but always useful. Note that the fireplace/pellet stove is out of order which was disappointing during this time of year.
The beach has small 'rivers' for a safe place for the kids to play in the water and build sandcastles with easy access to water without going out to the waves where it was colder and a need to be right there withthe kiddos.
The home would benefit from the owner going through all the games, puzzels and drawers to bring some organization and order and discard the items that are not complete or broken. The living room carpet could use a cleaning. Otherwise, it was a great house and you wouldn't go wrong in staying here.

This was not a good experience. We checked in and were given the wrong code so we had to call, once in we noticed a sign "fireplace out of order". I was not happy as Oregon Coast in the fall is a perfect place for a fire and I saw it in the pictures. Upon investigating it appeared that it could work if the remote were there and it were plugged in but obviously the owners did not want it used. Next morning my daughters family informed me that they found mice droppings on there pillowcases and while making breakfast we found a dead mouse. We called and the pest control people showed up and advised they had been there many times. We told them their were mice upstairs but they did not go up there. We had a 2 year old with us. We would have left but had nowhere to go as we flew in. Upon sitting on the deck later that day there was only 1 working chair the rest were broken. The house was dirty and we were dissappointed.
