About this cabin rental

Sitting at the end of a quiet country lane, only yards from the water's edge, Camp Eagle's Nest is a peaceful haven with spectacular views of the mountains as well as the Driftwood branch of the Sinnemahoning Creek. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin can accommodate a family looking for an escape from their everyday routine, or is cozy enough for a couple seeking a romantic retreat. Outdoors enthusiasts will enjoy the close proximity of trout streams and state forest lands.

Nestled in the Pennsylvania Elk Range, Camp Eagle's Nest is a perfect location for elk watchers, anglers, hunters, bird watchers, and nature enthusiasts. Whether you are canoeing the Sinnemahoning, looking for elk sheds, watching for the frequently sighted bald eagle, golfing at the Emporium Country Club, hiking one of the many nearby trails or just breathing in the mountain air, Camp Eagle's Nest truly embodies what a "getaway" should be.

Renovated extensively, the owners wanted to make the interior of Camp Eagle's Nest is an immersion in nature as well. Using trees harvested in Pennsylvania, each room has a unique ambiance. To bring the outdoors inside, the owners carefully chose decor with rustic detail such as the stone work on the fireplace with a live edge mantel, decorative game mounts, and live edge trim throughout the cabin.

Though the feel of the cabin is rustic, guests will still have all of the modern amenities they enjoy at home such as a fully-stocked, modern kitchen, a washer and dryer, WiFi and cable television.

We would love for you to join as for your next vacation, and experience a true "getaway!"

Thank you for a great weekend.

The property was in a nice location at a dead end and the river only steps away.I am not one to complain but i was disappointed. The water had a very awful smell and left my skin smelling. I know you said you could drink it but smelled way too bad and when I brushed my teeth it left an awful taste in my mouth. We went and bought spring water. The weeds were coming up through the deck and steps. I did pull some that were coming through the deck. We wanted to make steaks on the grill Friday night and the grill grates were so rusty so we just did the steaks at the fire pit.I heard mice or some critters in the house while watching tv in the evening and saw mice running in and out of basement hole near the belco doors. Kept our dog entertained. I am not complaining or being nasty, just being honest. If it was my place I would want honest feedback.

According to the photos that were on the site, bedding was included. When we arrived and contacted the host, he said that bedding and towels were not included but he could provide them for a small fee. The site said "No Hidden Fees". To us, that was a hidden fee. He also told us that we received an email stating bedding was not included, however we did not. This is something important and it should have been clearly stated. Having to go and purchase bed sheets, pillows, blankets and towels are not cheap. If we knew this in advance we would have brought our own instead of spending money on this. There were tripping hazards on the kitchen floor and other small issues, like no kitchen dish soap and etc. This is a town that we visit frequently but this is one place we will not go back to and will not recommend.
