Come and enjoy a memorable vacation in this fully-furnished, 4 bedroom/ 3.5 bath. The master bedroom includes an exotic king-sized, four poster bed from Asia, a private full bath, plenty of closet space and direct, uninterrupted views of Spider Lake and the big lake front deck. The remaining bedrooms are furnished with designer touches. The living room is furnished with everything you'll need to relax. The huge and completed furnished kitchen comes with a perfect view of the lake and beach. Granite counter tops complete the scene. 2 1/2 stall garage provides protected parking as well as space for the kayaks. Spend the day on the lake, swimming, fishing, boating. The place was perfect for our stay. Equal distance to TC and the horse show, it was convenient for restaurants and shuffling around. The house is well appointed, clean and the owner was super responsive. Mostly, it's beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely return!

A group of friends and I stayed here and were blown away by the views! This property is just as gorgeous in person as the listing describes. The only downside is, there was no hot tub as shown in the listing. Other than that, this place was a great escape. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful, short stay. The property was beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped to make fabulous meals. And the home is near enough to Traverse City to go into town any time.

The house and location were wonderful! Lots of spacious room for our family fall getaway and the view spectacular - even though the weather was bit rainy and cold. The house had all the amenities you would need - well stocked and spacious kitchen, games, lower level with ping pong table (and great area for 2 toddlers to keep busy), etc. We plan on booking again and highly recommend!

We rented this home for our annual wine tasting trip.
The check in process was a little nerve wracking as I had to contact the host directly, along with VRBO customer support to get the access code. We had to wait outside for a few minutes in the rain before getting access, but were inside the property within a few minutes of check in time.
We were very disappointed that the hot tub shown in the photos was not there. This was a major deciding factor for more than half of us, so future renters be forewarned.
It may just be us, but the listing gives the impression that there is one bathroom per bedroom. This was not the case and two of the couples had to share a bathroom.
One of the shelves in the kitchen collapsed on us and one of the guests was mildly cut as a result of a broke dish. Future guests - be sure to pay attention before shifting the weight on the shelves. I'd hate for this to happen to someone else.
Additionally, the fire pit shown by the beach in the pictures belongs to the neighbors. The fire pit area on the property is down a steep, narrow, winding path and we chose not to risk anyone else getting injured so we missed out on one of the other aspects we were all very much looking forward to.
Overall the property is gorgeous, with breathtaking views and would be perfect for a family. At the price point, it left a little to be desired logistically for a group of adults.
I imagine there's lots of memories to be made in the summer months when the days are longer, the water is warmer, and the yard isn't winterized.

This property is situated to maximize views of serene Spider Lake, the water wrapping around two sides. We enjoyed the beach and kayaks, the bonfire pit, the generous deck and grassy yard.
The kitchen was well equipped for our stay-in family dinners and a bit of baking. The table fit our family of 7 for meals and game nights.
All made for a beautiful September stay.

Wonderful place - again
This is a delightful place to stay in northern Michigan. The lake itself has interesting features with all the bays. The home is super well equipped with dishes and glasses and flatware, etc etc and the two large refrigerators have accommodated this foodie group on consecutive years. Since we enjoyed perfect weather this year we realized we spent the vast majority of our time on the deck. This is possible because the retractable awning protects against the morning sun, when needed, and it can be retracted again to enjoy all the breezes shortly after 1 pm (July) as the house provides the necessary shade. The small beach and shallow water are perfect for the young and old. Available boat and paddle board rentals provide things to do. The property also comes with many water toys including two small kayaks. This is a great place to rent and we hope to return again. Thank you to the owner who is very responsive, although things are so well-prepared upon arrival that extensive communication has not been necessary either year. Wonderful place - again!

Family Getaway
This was a wonderful house with lots of space for our family of 8 to roam, including teenagers that needed a break from it all. The lake was amazing and the house was only 15 minutes away from downtown TC. The only time we left the house was to visit Sleeping Bear Dunes. It was the perfect place to relax.

Another great stay!
This was the third year in a row that my family stayed at this beautiful home. We love exploring the lake in our rented pontoon and swimming right in front of the house. The house itself is very well-equipped with everything we need for a relaxing stay, and the owner is very responsive and easy to work with. If you're looking for a perfect spot for an awesome vacation, this is it!

Our Michigan Layover
We are a private jet crew and we were returning from Israel for a four day layover in Michigan. We actually had to make a hasty departure from the Middle East when the missiles started raining down in Tel Aviv.
Needless to say, the Germain‘s beautiful house on Spider Lake was a very welcoming environment. The spacious and well laid out home made for a very enjoyable stay. The rec room downstairs has a ping pong table and a treadmill and both got well used.
Daniel made the check in process very easy and he was amazing to work with on both ends of our stay.
We rented a very nice pontoon boat from Windjammer boat rentals.
I highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed!

Friends Getaway
This property is beautiful and very spacious. We had 7 adults stay the weekend and there was more than enough room for all of us. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Everything was in working order. The owners were great with communication and making the check in and check out process simple.

Only issue was fireplace would not light. Owner tried to address it quickly, but service provider was unavailable to come to property. EVERYTHING ELSE WAS AMAZING!

This home is absolutely amazing! The property is immaculate and is so perfectly situated on the lake. The views from the windows were such a treat. The property owners have truly thought of everything you need to enjoy your stay here. We used the kayaks and the docks quite a bit and had a blast. They reccomended a boat rental place (Boats Up North) truly a class act, we really enjoyed Ben the Boatman :) The amenities didn't stop coming, the whole week we kept finding and utilizing all of the little touches around the house. There is a full and loaded kitchen to cook , all the pots/pans and tools you could need and even a bunch of spices in the cabinets. The ping pong table and games were a big hit for the kids and we are grateful they were there for us to use! Being about 20 minutes from Traverse City is great and there is some shopping even closer for regular grocery items. We loved our stay here and would definitely like to return here when we are near Travers City again.

Beautiful property!
This was the second year in a row that we have stayed in this beautiful home and we had another awesome week! The home itself is very comfortable and well-supplied with everything needed to have a stress-free vacation, and the owners are extremely easy to work with and very responsive. The beach is great for swimming and floating around, and the lake itself is very interesting to explore in a rented pontoon or a kayak. We can't wait to come back next year!

A very special place
Definitely one of the best Vrbo rentals we’ve ever selected. The view from the deck and small beach are absolutely breathtaking. Outdoor furniture, dining table, and grill all in good condition. Paddle boarding in the cove is a zen experience. Living room is cozy and well decorated, and kitchen is well stocked for meal preparation. It is an easy drive to the fully stocked grocery store, Olsens, and downtown Traverse City is not far beyond. Some good mountain biking trails close by. We had a chance to visit a few of our favorite wineries on the mission Peninsula, which had some very solid social distancing and sanitation practices in place. Most places recommend reservations or you may have to wait.

Beautiful home on the perfect lake location.
Our family enjoyed fishing , swimming, and boating. The lake was so enjoyable. Our 11 year old grandson caught his first northern pike. There was great celebration. Great home for a family stay.

Perfect lake getaway
We had a wonderful trip to Daniel and Emma’s house on spider lake. Quiet. Comfortable. Well stocked. Had one small problem of air conditioner going out but Ryan had a repairman over the same day and it was fixed within hours. Only comment is to pay attention to listing as pictures show some things that are no longer at the house. The location was great 15’ from TC but remote enough to feel away from it all. Kids loved the beach and we’re in the water non stop while I was able to kayak and fish daily. All in all perfect escape for our family during the pandemic.

A View You Won't Soon Forget!
Our family had an amazing time at this property. There were 9 of us and plenty of room for everyone! We loved having our own boat dock and the beach area was awesome! The provided kayaks were fun and swimming near the beach was perfect! This house has everything you could possibly need and want and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend this house and location to anyone!

Lovely week away with friends
This house suited our two families of four quite well. Beautiful view and the beach is among the best on the lake. We used the kayaks daily and rented a pontoon and paddle boards from Kathy at Harold’s Resorts on the lake. House is well equipped. There is only one shower/bathroom upstairs (which is where three bedrooms are) so kids had to run down to basement to shower. The house is twenty minutes to Traverse City so we drove in quite a bit and took day trips to Sleeping Bear dunes (1 hour) and Mission Point.
