Host is top notch. House right on the water. Easy walk to downtown shops.

Everything from start to finish was great. Easy check in and check out. Communication with James was excellent but nothing really was needed. Loved the backyard and spent many afternoons enjoying the garden. The house is conveniently located to so many things. Driveway is too small for a car but street parking was usually easy to find. We would stay there again without hesitation!

Perfect location for the beach/ocean, and walking distance to town and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed the house. It had everything we needed.

We loved the house, a fab kitchen meant we could enjoy the produce from the local farmers market. The pictures don’t do the property justice, it’s such a quirky house. The garden is so lovely & made even more beautiful by the humming birds. James was a responsive and amenable host - thank you so much!

Wonderful location, but also a great vibe.

Walk to the ocean, walk to restaurants! Quiet neighborhood. House is furnished with tasteful antiques, including a claw-foot tub equiped with shower. Well-appointed kitchen. TV is in back bedroom, which we didn't use. Bike/walking path traverses up and down the coast, less than 50 yards from the house-- we hardly used our car! Tranquil backyard space with fountain.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Great getaway spot!!

The location is amazing. The host responds immediately. The beds are comfy but note that this would not be a two couple house. Rooms are connected and small. Great for one couple. Very clean. Backyard is an oasis. Kitchen well equipped. Be careful stepping out of tub/shower if you are short. It was also exceptionally warm in Oct and house was 77 when we went to bed. Host tried to ship us a fan. We finally found the last box fan in Pacific Grove. He offered to pay but we are going to keep it with us for duration of Road Trip. We appreciated his concern and follow up. You will enjoy this house.

Quaint house in perfect location!

This was a lovely property in a perfect location with all the comforts we needed. The only problem was beachgoers parking in our spot causing us to hunt for a parking spot up the street. We loved it, and Mr. White always responded immediately to our questions.
We would go back in a heartbeat.

Great location! Host very responsive! Decor is vintage and very cozy, fireplace is the bomb!!! Furniture more comfortable than it looks in the pictures. Love all the antique furniture and fixtures. Kitchen well stocked, my favorite place in the house.
Some things to improve on, TV is a bit challenging. Would love the TV to be in the living room. Windows to open easier.
All in all I would give this a 4.5 out of 5 star rating. Would recommend this to my friends and family!

A terrific bungalow close to the water.

Easy walk to everything. It would be helpful to have written instructions. Fireplace didn’t work. Finally figured out oven requires you to keep holding on off switch.

This was perfect for two seniors location- wise. Ocean view and quiet neighborhood. Updated appliances. The only problem was the bed was too soft for our liking, but others might find it perfect. (There was no need to speak with the owner, but I couldn’t submit this review without rating it, so I gave 5 stars because I expect I could have done so if needed)

Great property with amazing location and view. Easiest check in and check out possible.

This house was perfect for what I needed. Kitchen was well equipped. The furniture was classic. The dining table set right in a corner window and you had beautiful views of the ocean, boats going by and people watching. Main bedroom had a good size dresser and large walk in closet. Nice secluded back yard. If you are going to rent this property to watch TV, this is probably not the place you want. The only TV is a very nice Samsung, but it is located in the second bedroom, which you have to go through the main bedroom to get to the second bedroom. Normally if you going to be in Pacific Grove, you’re not visiting to watch TV. Great location to beach, food, restaurants and other attractions.

We went to Pacific Grove for our 10-year wedding anniversary. The location of this property was excellent. Very close to Lover's Point, an amazing bike trail and downtown PG. We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay. The home is adorable, VERY clean and the host was easily reachable and solved any issues promptly. We cannot wait to return!

Lovely 1920's bungalow across the street from a beautiful beach.
Enjoyed sitting in the garden patio after a day of sight seeing.

We stayed here in 2021 and have been looking forward to coming back. It was just as lovely the second time. James is a great communicator and the location is just wonderful. We loved it and will be back again no doubt.

We thoroughly enjoyed the home including the private deck, yard, view of the ocean/Lover’s point, second bedroom, interesting artwork, and well stocked kitchen. Great find.

We loved the view of the ocean, the fireplace on cool evenings, the comfortable beds, the immaculate cleanliness, the roomy kitchen, the walkable distance to the harbor seals in one direction and restaurants in the other—and perhaps most of all, the edenic back yard with a fountain, walls of flowers, and four reading chairs!

The location is ideal, third house from the Bay and easy walking distance to restaurants and attractions. Very well equipped kitchen and quality linens and pillows. In addition, we enjoyed the antique furniture and artwork.

We loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful home. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need, and we loved sitting by the window, looking out at the water, and enjoying our coffee and breakfast. The house is very large, and private, and the backyard patio is especially cute and private. The furniture and decor is classy, and the hosts were also wonderful and thoughtful. Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable!

My spouse and I love Pacific Grove and have stayed there often in the past at a local Inn. This time we decided to rent a vacation home for a long birthday celebration weekend. This property was absolutely wonderful. The house was clean and had all of the amenities that you would want in a vacation home. From the living room you can see a lovely view of the Monterey Bay close to Lover's Point. That room also has a gas fireplace that makes the entire room even more cozy when lit. The house was furnished with antique furniture and terrific paintings that fit right into the Pacific Grove vibe. There were two bedrooms and we stayed in the back one and enjoyed the sound of the fountain at night. The small garden in the back with the fountain was also very peaceful and serene. We were only steps away from the walking path that runs along the bay. Lover's Point was also very near. We were in Pacific Grove for 3 days and we never got into the car. Instead, we enjoyed walking to the restaurants for breakfast (Aliotti's Victorian Corner) and dinner (Fandango's and Beach House). Our host James was very responsive and got back quickly to us when we had questions. We will definitely be going back, and having an entire house was much better than one room in an Inn.

The location of this property is amazing. Just blocks away from downtown, across the street from Lover’s Point and the walking/biking trail that extends around the peninsula on the most beautiful strip of Monterey bay.
The property itself is a slice of the past as the owner embraced the original aesthetic of the home and neighborhood. I enjoyed the artwork and antique furnishings which were also quite functional for our three night stay. There is a tv in the back room, but I spent most of my time on the couch gazing out the front windows at the spectacular bay view.
We were fortunate to arrive on a Monday and could therefore enjoy the weekly farmers market just a block away. Also, Pavel’s bakery is only open Tuesday and Saturday, so another win for us! Despite stormy weather, we managed to get a couple of nice long walks on the trail and enjoyed a short jaunt to Carmel. Overall a delightful trip that we hope to repeat in the future!

Loved the location. Property has great potential if it was cleaned properly. There was very large amount of dirt accumulated between the faucet and handles in both the bathroom and kitchen. The floor needed to be cleaned. The top of the stove underneath the grates had dried up food.
I have pictures of the sinks but I can’t see how to post them here. I will not be going back.

My daughter and I stayed at this property for a girl’s getaway. We loved the restored bungalow and the hosts’ appointment to detail. The home was very clean and comfy, and the fireplace in February was fantastic! You cannot beat the location…we could see otters in the bay through the front windows, and also used the walking path every day. It’s close to great restaurants and shopping as well. I will definitely be back!! Thanks to our host, James, for making our stay so easy and special!

We've stayed here before - our favorite house in Pacific Grove. Lovely artwork, antiques, and amenities from wineglasses to candlesticks. From the living room with a cozy gas fire we enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets and watching sailboats on the bay. The dining table in the corner windows affords a lovely view of the water and the Pacific Coast Trail. We can walk to the Monterey Aquarium one way, Lover's Point and Asilomar the other direction. Very comfortable beds, cooking equipment, and a washer-dryer.

During our 3 night stay, the weather was cold, wet, windy. In spite of the unco-operative Mother Nature, this quaint home made our stay really nice. The ideal location on the beach (and a 3 min walk to historic Lovers Point) offered unbelievable views, and access to nature's beauty. A short walk to the Monterey Aquarium, Cannery Row, and Fisherman's Wharf added to the experience. Downtown restaurants are a walking distance away. Pacific Grove as a community offered us much more peaceful pace than our previous stays in Carmel or Monterey.
The stand alone house was perfect for the 2 of us; the fireplace in the living room added warmth and a sense of home. Our hosts offered a well stocked kitchen, with spices, cooking items, etc and a much appreciated welcome bottle of wine. The antique furnishings and art added to the coziness.
While this didn't affect us, the layout of the bedrooms may offer some challenges for 2 different couples (vs a family)....guests in one bedroom need to walk thru the other to get to the bathroom.
We'd highly recommend this wonderful home to anyone looking to step back in time for a few days, without losing any of the modern day necessities.

The host does a great job of staying true to the early 1930’s character, while providing modern convenience in the kitchen, bathroom and tech needs.

Rented this darling bungalow with my cousin during our recent visit to attend the Monterey Jazz Festival. Steps away from Lovers Point Beach & Park, the bike path and a short walk from Pacific Grove's cute little downtown. Loved it! My only suggestion: the white towels, washcloths, etc, might want to be replaced - they were old, stained/gray and scratchy. But minor, all things considered.

Fantastic. Great location for all of our wants and needs. Very narrow drive so parked on the street. Would recommend this location in a heartbeat. Would love to come back.

Yes, there are two bedrooms but the only way to get to one of the bedrooms is to walk through the first bedroom. The second bedroom is landlocked. The kitchen has no dining table. The living room has no TV; rather, the TV is in the landlocked bedroom and it doesn't work. In the tiny backyard is a gurgling fountain that is so loud it keeps whoever has the misfortune of staying in the landlocked bedroom up all night.

Great location, right across the street from Lover's Point Beach and 3/4 mile walk to Canary Row.

Enjoyed our stay in this charming Victorian-style home. Perfect location and beautiful views within walking distance to the beach and town. Great accommodations and amenities. We felt very comfortable. The host was very friendly and even left us homemade cookies and a bottle of wine. Thank you again!

This property was amazing and has everything you need. The location is perfect with beautiful ocean views and right next to lovers point. A great home base for exploring the area for the week. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
