About this cabin rental
Get away from it all! Remote lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom log home with sleeping loft nestled in the woods and looking out on a bold cascading stream. Soak in the covered hot tub or rock on the covered porch overlooking the rushing stream and relax to the sound of the beautiful waterfalls. Open up the windows and feel the cool mountain air, fall asleep to the calming sound of falling water - The best nights sleep. Gather round the fire-pit, roast marshmallows, and soak up the scenery. Cook burgers and hot dogs on the bank of the stream on the picnic table with park style charcoal grill. Relax, hike, or play in this true mountain paradise! . WiFi and free long distance calls included. Enough room for everyone, 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, 1 full sleeper sofa. **NOTE: The cabin is 2.6 miles from Hwy 19 into our mountain community on Hornbuckle Creek. The road is gravel (not steep) but is very well maintained by the HOA, we have provided very detailed driving directions and proper signage as GPS is not fully accurate in the mountains. It is a 15 minute drive to town. While in the winter months - driving a 4 wheel drive vehicle would be recommended, no need in other seasons. If getting away from the crowds and enjoying a remote Great Smoky Mountain experience is your thing , you will love this place! The kitchen is extremely well equipped to prepare any meal. Outside you will enjoy cooking on the gas or charcoal grill over the stream. In the beautiful cool evenings of spring and fall take the chill off watching the flames in the woodstove fireplace. Pets may be considered. Ask us.

Running Bear Falls was a great cabin for our family of 4 our furry child. The cabin had all the extras to make it feel like a home. We enjoyed exploring down the creek since no one else lived downstream so we felt like we had a creek all to ourselves. My child even caught her first fish on the creek! The house is remote enough but also close enough to central Maggie Valley, Cherokee and other towns when you need food or other essentials. We definitely recommend checking out the waterfall in the neighborhood that Neil recommended. If I had to make any recommendation it would be tu bring your own pillow, but other than that the cabin has everything you need from kitchen equipment, seasonings, towels, puzzle and games, etc. We had a blast and cannot wait to return!

If you are looking for a quiet, secluded place to stay, this is it. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. My granddaughter enjoyed the stream and hot tub. My son-in-law did some fishing in the stream and caught some small trout which he released. I am not use to mountain roads, so that part made me a little nervous, but the cabin made up for it. Neil is a great host and promptly answers any questions you have. I highly recommend this cabin.

This cabin is a slice of heaven on earth. Every convenience was there! The jacuzzi was such an added bonus. They really have thought of everything to make an enjoyable and relaxing family vacation! Wonderful memories were made! And it’s in an amazing spot highly recommend
