Located in Truckee, this lovely cabin for $484 per night is a great option for your next trip. Extensively remodeled in 2013, this warm and inviting cabin has an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, large beams, and knotty pine through out. Granite countertops, glazed knotty alder cabinets and hickory flooring. The wall of windows in great room looks out onto the spacious deck and towering pines. Beautiful slate surrounds the gas fireplace in addition to forced air heat. Home sleeps 10. Detached 2 car garage. Enjoy the big-screen TV, cable, DVD and free WiFi access. DVDs, books and games available for your entertainment. Lounge on large leather sofa and recliners or retreat to cozy loft for nap or quiet reading time. On main level, you will find two well-appointed bedrooms, one with a California King and the other with twin bunk beds and a full bed. Upstairs, you find a custom built log California King bed with connecting loft including trundle bed and bean bag chair. Quality linens and towels are provided. Access to Tahoe Donner amenities (for nominal fee) including Rec center with work-out facility pools and hot tub, fitness classes, downhill ski area (great for kids!), cross country ski area, equestrian center, tennis center, 18-hole golf and driving range, hiking, and so much more! * Short walk to rec center * 20 minutes to Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sugarbowl, and Northstar Ski Areas * 10 minutes to historic downtown Truckee for shopping, dining and more * 5 minutes to Donner Lake (private beach available) Town of Truckee requires us to collect 12% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) and 1.25% Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District (TTBID) Assessment which VRBO will include in the booking price. Light Pollution: All exterior lights must be turned off between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., seven days a week that are no longer needed for safety. Our family was in the area for a wedding. The cabin was a comfortable place for us to stay together. We didn’t have much time to enjoy the many amenities the area has to offer but the cabin had everything we needed and the beds and linens were very comfortable.

Great family property with a quiet neighborhood and trails that my kids lived to hike. Great proximity to Northstar, Lake Tahoe, a grocery store, and lots of hiking. The house is very well stocked and really comfortable.

You will not go wrong with this house! It is stocked with all of the essentials. Plenty of cookware. Lots of dishes, glasses etc. Plenty of towels. Spices, coffee filters, foil, Saran Wrap, garbage bags, recycle bags and much more! Very well laid out home. The view is beautiful. The deck is inviting. Bikes to ride in the garage. Large driveway and room for two cars in the garage. extra chairs and beach chairs as well. I can’t say enough about this place! My family and I had the best time there! It can easily sleep up to 10 people with no problem. Great location as well. We will absolutely be staying at this home again!!

Enjoyed a great weekend with friends during the epic snow in late winter of 2023. Easy to access, even with all the snow. Cabin is well appointed and clean and the host was accommodating and lovely. Would rent again when in the Truckee area.

We had a total of 9 and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The cabin feels very cozy and private. We enjoyed sitting on the patio at night to star gaze. Safeway close by was very nice and a short drive to Donner lake was awesome. Made a perfect family retreat for us!!

We had a group of eight ranging from 7 to 75 and Wildhorn Cabin could not have been more perfect for us. Proximity to downtown Truckee as well as Tahoe made for a great weekend. The cabin was well stocked and clean. The deck is amazing and was the perfect spot to play games or just hang out. The beds were all very comfortable. It was really nice to have such great communication with the owner prior to the trip, Patricia is great. Our family has already talked about coming back to experience the cabin during the winter months.

Ask for extra toilet and paper towels, and was not provided. Also when we showed up the screen to the deck was torn from the frame. Also used all the bisquick, need to replace it.

The location of the cabin is great since it is close to downtown but also has a nice woodsy view in the back (we went when it was covered with snow and it was beautiful). There were plenty of towels, blankets, cooking supplies, etc. The sleds were fun for our kids. Everyone enjoyed the fireplace and comfy chairs after a day in the snow.

Had a great time with my family here. We enjoyed the proximity to stores and the availability of a paved walking trail (Truckee Trails Trailhead) that took us to downtown. Make sure to bring your own shower supplies.

Patricia is very responsive. We arrived late at the property around 9pm for check-in and missed reading the instructions on turning on the water valve. I called her and she answered her phone right away and was very helpful. Location! Location! Location!!! You will enjoy the privacy. It feels secluded yet, The cabin is close to freeway, supermarkets, and restaurants, hiking trails and Donner Lake. Everything you needed is in the cabin. Owners are very thoughtful and provided cooking utensils, pots and pans, board games, balls, beach chairs and bike too…Unbelievable, We all enjoyed our stay. Oh did I mention, Beds were comfy too.plenty of blankets to keep you warm on cold nights and pillows. Everyone had a good night sleep. Thank You so much again Patricia & family for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. Though short, this is by far one of our best stays in a cabin. For sure we will be back again! The Ramilos

We stayed here with family to attend our daughter's wedding. It was a great location for the various events we needed to get to, and also to the local Safeway! The house was clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils, pots, dishes, etc. that you would need, and plenty of living room and dining room space for our needs. Nice patio and woodsy back yard area which our grand daughter loved! We can only vouch for the bed we slept in which was the master, and it was very comfortable! Our son and daughter in law said their bed was comfy as well. The only issue we had was with the downstairs bath - the on/off control was loose and fell off. I notified the property owner right away and they got back to me quickly and said they would get it fixed. Since we had the upstairs bathroom available, and we were in and out a lot, I let them know it was not urgent for us so they were going to have it fixed after we checked out. The access to the garage for the cars was also a nice plus. We would definitely stay here again!

But the best part of the stay was our host, Patricia. She was very responsive to all my emails and questions right from the time I made the reservation. Also on the last day of our stay, one of the kids had an injury and had to be taken to the hospital. We were getting late for the checkout and I asked Patricia if she would give us some additional time for checkout. Patricia was very gracious and told us to take our time and also checked on the well-being of the injured kid several times. It was truly a wonderful gesture on her part and helped ease the stress and worry to a great extent. Thank you Patricia!
