The owner was quick to respons, the property was clean, and specific instructions for the heaters were clearly written. The backyard was open with no rear neighbors and the kids enjoyed playing in the snow.

Great home for my group of friends who went up on a ski trip! Ample space for everyone and it's great that there are 3 full bathrooms. The automatic fire provided a great cozy vibe, and I appreciated the seamless communication from Joanne!

The house was perfect for our group! Having two family rooms was great for a place for the adults and kids to hang out. Loved the gas fireplace. The large garage was perfect for ski equipment and sleds.
The proximity to Northstar was a huge plus!
Will definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at this wonderful cabin. Clean, good sized, and close to lots of stuff. The property owner was very responsive and it was a positive experience all the way around.

We loved the location and layout of the home and the quiet neighborhood. It worked really well for our family. The outside deck eating area was great for our grandkids as was the downstairs tv/game room.
The home was was comfortable. The towels and blankets and sheets were all so clean and Soft!!!
Thank you for a wonderful wonderful time. We hiked, played at the lake, did a cornhole tournament, went swimming, played disc golf and walked the Donner train tunnels, Laughed a lot and played board games and just had fun together. The kithen worked well as did the bbq.

We had a very nice time relaxing in the house and sightseeing around Donner lake and the beautiful beaches. Drove to Crystal bay and checked out the casino for a little gambling. Maybe will stay longer next time.

This was a perfect house for our family, in the beautiful area of Truckee! Enjoyed an afternoon at the community pool, and several nearby parks and trails. The house is lovely, comfortable and well-appointed. We’d love to return!

Well furnished home and kitchen with easy check in and out process. There was nothing we needed and didn't have.

The cabin works well for large groups. The three floors, with bedrooms and bathrooms on each level, provides everyone their own space but also has a large gathering area for group dinners and game time. The house was well appointed and clean, and we would definitely stay there again.

The house was cozy and clean and easy to heat quickly. Water stayed hot for all 3 showers. There were many good places for guests to sleep. The house lighting was dated though, and at night there weren't many options to be able to read with lighting. All lamps were either too dim or too florescent. Otherwise, the house was well cared for which matters when you pay a lot to rent it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Very close to tahoe donner ski hill, perfect for 2-3 families, since the spaces are well distributed. Got snowed in due to storm so we spent a lot of time inside. Board games, puzzles and tivo to stay distracted. Overall great property

We had a wonderful time staying at Joanne's place in Tahoe Donner with two families (each with young children). The home was very nice and cozy, and the host was very responsive with keeping us informed about amenities and access. Would definitely stay there again.

The property was nice, but due to the 10 foot snow fall in prior weeks, it wasn't possible for the kids to really play much around the property, We had a little trouble with the television but were able to figure it out. Overall we had a nice time.

A perfect place to catch up with old friends and to serve as a home base for skiing, snowshoeing, and other winter adventures.

Generally very good! Four partners each had their own rooms and the junior associates had a balcony and basement sitting area. Garage app was not working and the snow was deep, which limited balcony, grill and garbage access. House was clean and comfortable. A couple of comments on the commute to PT - it was brutal on the weekend - get up and out no later than 7. Also recommend fifty fifty brewery for its dark beers and satisfying menu. Description of the unit is accurate. Would repeat!

I stayed here with my extended family. The house is well cared for and in great condition. It’s close to the ski resort, the grand parents were able to walk over and watch their grand kids ski. The kitchen had everything we needed. The owner answered our questions quickly and helped resolve our issues.

It was nice staying with 4 adults and four children. Clean house, responsive host, convenient location. Mattresses were not very comfortable (too soft), but maybe it is just for me.
Overall very nice solid house.
Thank you.

My family and I had a wonderful ski get-away. We always enjoy the Tahoe Donner area-- it's relatively close to our favorite ski resorts Sugarbowl and Palisades Tahoe. The house accommodated our group very nicely-- very spacious with plenty of towels and sheets. No issues/complaints came up. Highly recommend this lovely home.

Large areas for the eight of us and plenty of space for playing games, eating and cooking. Had a great time with enough snow for snowball fights, snowman building and snowshoe hikes. THANK YOU

Great location and house is well kept and clean. Kids enjoyed all the outdoor equipment to play in snow and tons of board games for indoor enjoyment. Kitchen was great with all the pots, pans and necessary cooking essentials. Only thing we could have used was extra blankets, but more of a preference thing so not a big deal at all. Overall great property and stay!

We had 8 people stat at the cabin and it fit us perfectly. I feel like everything we needed was there. Kitchen was fully stocked with clear instructions on how to operate things. We just felt really comfortable there. We travelled to Stateline to go to Casinos, we went into Truckee and Donner Ski Lodge. All within reasonable distances. Nice restaurants nearby. We had a lot more snow than we anticipated, but went to the local ski store for things we needed. We will definitely plan another trip and stay there again.

The property is an amazingly cozy cabin that easily fit our group of 8. We all had enough space so we could get some privacy and the main floor has plenty of space for us to play games or relax on the deck. A truly wonderful space to spend time with friends or loved ones.

The property are perfect for our group. Plenty of beds. Just as described. Very close to North Tahoe golf courses. Will definitely stay here again.

Chose this property because of the separate areas for each family...one on each of the 3 levels. There was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped and had all we needed to cook or grill. The hostess was easy to communicate with and responded quickly.

We had a wonderful reunion of long time friends who served together in ministry. The cabin was very comfortable for all eight of us.

The only thing really not mentioned was the amount of stairs. There are three levels to this home. Lots of stairs! It was warm so fans helped. Best supplied home with tons of towels and anything else you need. Very nice first aid kit, thankfully we didn’t need to use it. My family of 9 had plenty of room. Enjoyed the outside deck in evening. We did have trouble when we arrived because the code to front door didn’t work. Was able to reach Joanne immediately and she had us in house in no time. Would definitely stay at this home again. Thank you Joanne!

Property was closed extremely clean on our arrival. Well stocked in the kitchen and plenty of bedding. No air conditioning because they don’t have use for it most of the time so be aware if your are staying in summer months. However basement stays cool and they have a fan for the upstairs. Wonderful property.

This beautiful house was perfect for our family getaway. Great quiet location, yet close to everything you need. The kitchen was well equipped. There was lots of room for a group. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck.
The only cons were that the upstairs was quite warm and the downstairs was quite cold. Thankfully there was a fan available to use upstairs and a fireplace for the downstairs.
Communication was great with Joanne. It was a wonderful time!

We had a great long weekend at this lovely Tahoe Donner home, and look forward to visiting again. We were a large group of family and friends (3 couples and 4 older teens) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house is well cared for and a perfect mix of rustic yet updated. We loved the family room - very comfy couches with room for 6+ to sit and talk, or watch movies, and lots of natural light. Kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed leisurely coffees on the front deck and reading on the back deck in the late afternoon after a day of activities. The 3 teen boys made the lower family room their area to hang out and sleep. And the couples were all comfortable in our respective rooms. There was a full bathroom on each floor, with double sink area in each bathroom separate from the toilet/showers, which was convenient for our large group. Sounds travelled a bit between the floors (we could hear our friend snoring in the room below, and the boys watching movies downstairs), but it was very quiet in terms of street and neighborhood noise.
You can walk out the backyard and into a beautiful network of hiking or biking trails. It was a quick 10 minute drive down to Donner Lake, and we enjoyed spending time at West End Beach, the private Tahoe Donner Beach Marina, and at Donner Memorial State Park. We were visiting over 4th of July weekend, and we were prepared for large crowds and traffic, but we were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed watching the fireworks at Tahoe Donner Beach. We arrived around 8pm and found lounge chairs for all of us, as well as parking right out front. After the show (9:30 - 10pm), we were back at the house within 10-15 minutes. There's also a great hiking trail just up the road from the house. We enjoyed a hike from Glacier Point parking lot, and loved that it was just a few minutes drive to the trailhead.
Communication with the owner was very smooth, and everything in the house was well labeled. We'll definitely be back!
