About this cottage rental
Situated in Lake Cumberland, this attractive cottage for $170 per night is a great choice for your next break. ROOM TO ROAM AND WATCH THE SHOOTING STARS AT NIGHT. FULLY FENCED YARD. Couples and kiddo heaven. Home treated with germshield. No need for a "do not disturb" door hanger, no noisy hallways, no morning knocks on the door saying "housekeeping", privacy privacy privacy with a view of the country side, private hot tub and your own private pool. General ruling for this sweet cottage is that it is very homey, inviting and comfortable - if you like mother natures gifts, quiet country living, this is the destination for you - and only a few minutes from downtown somerset, etc. Imagine waking up to the sounds of mother natures music from the birds, rooster crowing, wind curving through the trees, sun billowing through the windows to warm your soul, in our opinion, heaven on earth. Step out on the patio to hear the rustle of the breeze in the trees and let it soothe your soul, and the view what a priceless gift. You will not want to leave. For the couples who have visited, its my understanding that it was just what they needed....we just might decide to call this spot the "LOVE SHACK". If you want a fun activity take a kayak or canoe or tube to strawberry road just a few minutes away and float down the creek. 10 minutes from six boat ramps on Lake Cumberland, and plenty of convenient parking room for your boat. A couple of miles from downtown Somerset, water park near by. Quiet family friendly 3 bedroom, sleeps up to 8, has full size bed this room has 32 inch roku ready smart tv, queen size bed this room has 32 inch roku ready smart tv and king size bed and hide a bed couch - ceiling fans in every bedroom and living room and kitchen, Furnished with washer/dryer in closet in kitchen - easy access, kitchen has oven/stove microwave, coffee maker including keurig, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, bath has full tub/shower. Fully furnished in every way - including starter coffee. cleaning process is per vrbo guidelines, as for the cleaning, i have used a treatment called permasafe it is a permanent antimicrobial - that alone per fda kills the virus as effective as lysol wipes etc.. permasafe is on all surfaces, furniture, touch points, hvac filter, remotes etc. also we us an ozonator on all rooms after the guest leaves. after cleaning with bleach water mixture, we spray everything down with alcohol. there is, hand soap provided for each renter. the hot tub water is replaced and treated with shock. the pool is shocked chemically every time a new renter arrives. In our cleaning process all dishes, silverware and glasses and cups are washed on sanitize in the dishwasher. a handy web site for attractions, local restaurants, hiking, etc in our area is www.experiencelakecumberland.com

We had a fabulous stay at this house just outside of Somerset KY. The house was perfect and we were traveling with our golden doodle and she loved the huge fenced in backyard! Kris was fantastic to work with and there was never any issues!

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts even let us stay an additional night. We loved seeing the horses every morning. The furrbabies had a great time running in the huge fenced in backyard. The kitchen is stocked with anything you could ever need and after cooking a huge Thanksgiving meal the hot tub was exactly what we needed. 5 stars, outstanding!

We enjoyed the hot tub and the large fenced yard where we could play outdoor games together and let our four-legged family member run to his hearts content! House was very comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 5+dog. Convenient location to restaurants and shopping without the hustle and bustle of the city. We spent a week at this property while we were visiting family in Kentucky. It was great for us! Perfect size for a family of 4. The kitchen is really well equipped. The view from the back porch is breathtaking. And the biggest bonus was the pool and hot tub! We will definitely be back next summer. Thanks for a great stay!

Thelma and Louise our frugs loved the fenced back yard. They played and investigated while interacting with the local farm animals. We saw salamanders, purple martins, blue and red birds, rabbits and many beautiful creatures. The home is comfy and well maintained. There is also a wonderful hot tub for starry nights and misty mornings. The host is wonderful, don't miss out on this opportunity.

It was a great week staying here. Far enough out to be secluded but close enough to town if we needed anything. From the time we got there my boys, ages 4&5, starting calling it our new house and referring to our actual home in Michigan as our old house. The house is perfect for a family setting, better than booking a room at the hotel. Being in this house made it perfect for keeping to our routine.
The pool was fun but the hot tub was the best part, especially for the kids. We were in the there morning and night. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be staying here again on our trips back.

It will be hard to put everything into words.
The arrival was the easiest check in we have ever had. The house was set in the middle farms and ranches. It was so quiet and peaceful. The back yard was just what my dogs needed. The house has been totally renovated and is like being at home. The furnishing is good to go, the bed was like sleeping in my bed at home. The kitchen is totally out fitted with pots and pans, silverware, and other cooking needs. We used Kris's place as a BOO (base of operations) and attended the horse race, The Ark, and several other venues throughout Kentucky and would be back to the BOO at sundown. Then it was time to relax and have a cold drink and do the hot tub. This was our first time staying at VRBO and it want be our last and I hope all Host are like Kris. She is HIGH SPEED NO DRAG and so is the house and the property. Be sure to ask her about flea markets. The road from the house is easy access to the highways and Somerset. We will stay there again in the future. I highly recommend it. Kris thank you for sharing your peace and quiet with the Love's.

My wife and I stayed here the last week in April. We wanted to get away from our busy lives. This was the perfect place for us. As soon as we walked in the door, we felt right at home. Some of our favorite things were the fireplaces, hot tub, the country view, and hiking to the many falls nearby (25-50 minutes drive). If you like the country setting, then i would recommend this place for couples and small families. Kris was a great host! I forgot my jackets so Kris offered to send them back!

Stayed here with my wife, son, and beagle. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Would wake up each morning and to take a walk around the large fenced in back yard. Kris was very helpful and quick with her responses. The property itself has a very country feel, but you're only about 10 minutes from downtown Somerset. I would recommend this rental to even my closet family and friends.

We frequently visit somerset due to family and have stayed in several houses but this one is a keeper!!! So family friendly! I love the backyard area for the kids and open kitchen for dinner with family. The house was well kept and the owners were friendly and available. This property was the most well-appointed rental we've ever rented through VRBO. There was nothing lacking and the pictures/descriptions were spot on. It was a very short dive to all the sites we planned to visit. Our pup thoroughly enjoyed trotting the fence line and smelling all the farm smells. Our family, 2 parents, adult daughter and teenager son (plus a dog) decided to have a quick gateway near the nature. We are so happy we booked with Kris, the place was just like described, very clean, well supplied and peaceful. Seriously had an amazing time. The hot tub was clean and hot, the yard is beautiful with lots of birds. The grill worked well and we enjoyed the fire pit every night. Highly recommend going to Cumberland falls for a day trip or the natural arch scenic area in the Daniel Boone National forest, definitely a fantastic hike!

This VRBO experience was everything one could ask for. Excellent communication with Kris was key. She was very knowledgeable about local trails and amenities within the area. Always quick to respond to any questions we had made us rest easy. The home was tastefully decorated, clean and pictures of the property are just a glimpse of what was in store. The hot tub was exceptionally clean and perfect after hiking the trails. We not only would recommend staying here but have every intention of returning ourselves.

I came to enjoy a quiet long weekend with my family. The house was great. It was clean, the backyard had a beautiful view of the countryside with a hot tub too! The yard was fenced so our dog could safely explore and the owner was friendly. Thanks for a much much needed holiday getaway.

We were so pleased with our stay. The house is very clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of firewood too. Quick trip into town to hit Kroger was only about 13 minutes. Not sure if my husband and I or our dog loved it more! The fenced in backyard was so fantastic. It was the relaxing weekend we needed. We will 100% be back.

The house was located at a nice location tucked in between some hills. It was quiet and relaxing to stay. Stores and restaurants were no more than 10 minutes away. The house was small but had every convenience. It was in a good middle location for anyone wanting to enjoy the parks and Lke Cumberland. I would highly recommend it.

I really loved this property and didn’t want to leave. The House was beautiful and an awesome getaway oasis. Everything was right there if you needed it very clean and updated beautiful kitchen with an open concept. There is a nice hot tub,grill,fire pit,pool and loved the porch swing very relaxing time. I would recommend this property and will definitely be back the owner is very nice and answered any questions I had. I can’t say enough how much I loved this place it was worth the money and great place to reconnect with my family
