Originally built in 1927, Dog Trot Cabin is a one-of-a-kind, completely restored, cozy retreat. Completely secluded, but still within the city limits, it is only five minutes from downtown Cleveland and I-75. Dog Trot sits on 8 wooded acres across from an 80 acre nature park. It is a great place for a weekend getaway or an extended stay close to town. Completely furnished with beautiful period antiques and professionally designed award-winning interiors, you'll enjoy Dog Trot Cabin's many amenities, including a full kitchen stone firepalce, outdoor patio , outdoor grill area , cable TV and central heat and air. Best of all you are close to everything fun to do in the area! Meander up to historic downtown Cleveland's Five Points Museum and Red Clay Theatre. Enjoy live music on Friday nights at the popular Bald Headed Bistro Restaurant or Thursday night jazz at downtown Cleveland's Roma Cafe restaurant. Visit the Gallery Shops on Inman, Presswood Vintage Antiques and Antiques Parlour all located nearby. Outdoor lovers can head up to the Ocoee River Whitewater Center, site of the 1996 Olympics or tube the Hiwassee Scenic River State Park. Ocoee has many areas for hiking and mountain biking all within a 30 minute drive from Dog Trot cabin. We pay attention to details. This is a sweet little cabin that is studio style. I don't think it is rented very often as there were signs of being vacant for an extended time. After we dusted off some webs and opened the doors to air it out, it was fine. This is not a secluded cabin, it is smack in the middle of a neighborhood and is super close to the main streets. It is private though and enjoyed sitting on the back patio. It does have wifi but does not have a lot of channel options (3-5), so plan your stay with lots of activities! We loved looking at all the pictures of the renovation process and racoons.
There was fresh flowers set out and a plate of chocolates and crackers in the fridge for us.

Booked to attend friend's wedding at Howe Farms in Birchwood. Dog Trot Cabin has the sweetest atmosphere and was the perfect place for respite. We enjoyed Grit & Grace Summer Market and the convience of Fletcher Park for walking the beautiful trails. Owner was beyond friendly, communication was easy and the fresh flowers and snacks were the perfect touch. We will be back!

This was the perfect place for my husband and I. It is very cozy with nicely appointed furnishings that make this place unique and charming. I enjoyed the fresh flowers and appreciate the attention to detail the owners put into restoring the cabin. We spent a rainy winter weekend here relaxing and reading. So peaceful. We look forward to visiting again.

This is our second time visiting this beautiful property, and we loved every minute of it! It's the perfect place for rest and relaxation. Anne is amazing, and adds such wonderful extra touches to the stay - fresh flowers, music, and lights on when we arrived. It felt like coming home rather than renting a cabin. We have decided that this is going to be a yearly retreat for us!

This property is great it is in a great neighborhood but is hidden from the road and neighbors.
The cabin was laid out well and the host had everything looking great when we arrived.
We definitely look forward to staying here again.

Looks just like it does in the photos. Really beautiful, cozy property on a nice sized piece of land that my dog had a lot of fun running around on. There was also a fantastic park across the street, and all of the conveniences and stores around that you would need despite the fact that you feel far away from it all. It was an awesome getaway, and Anne was really communicative and friendly!

Lovely property located in a small Tennessee town. Beautiful surroundings. Property was homey with thoughtful touches. Cabin is renovated from an original property built in 1927. We had a wonderful time here.

The Perfect Place
WOW! Dog Trot Cabin was the perfect place for our get-away weekend. The home is fully stocked and ready for your arrival. Anne was a gracious hostess, making sure the lights were on and everything was perfect for our late night arrival.
This little jewel is exactly as it appears, however the tranquil environment is the icing on the cake. The cabin is literally minutes from everything, but the location and setting make you feel as if you were in the middle of nowhere. We can't wait to make a return trip!

Great cabin and very close to downtown Cleveland and 30 min to Chattanooga. Inside has a cozy feel and luv’d the fireplace. However, there were a few disappointments that would have added to a lot to the full cabin experience.

I cannot rave enough about Dog Trot Cabin! Anne was a great hostess, and her cabin is truly special. You feel like you are away from it all, but it's very conveniently located. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

The cabin is amazing. Love the photo albums which paints a picture of the history of the cabin from being almost torn down to the restoration of it. Cozy little getaway for those looking for some rest/relaxation.

A prefect retreat
This little historic cabin is close to town, but so secluded that it feels like you're miles away from it all. It was a perfect place for us to unplug. Loved the swing on the patio!

The back yard was a little piece of heaven and the cabin itself was like coming home to "grandma's house" to recoup from the surgery. It was so cozy and very clean. The real flowers in vases were just a beautiful personal touch. Absolutely adored this place.

Sweet Historical Cabin
My husband and I felt like we were in Heaven on this little property. The history displayed in the cabin was breathtaking to say the least. Anne the property owner was more than accommodating and added small person touches throughout the property to make you feel welcome. We felt the property was perfectly located to travel between several areas of TN without feeling like you were on a road trip. We explored places and mountains from Chattanooga to Pigeon Forge and even found ourselves in the Blue Ridge area of Georgia for dinner one night. We would return to this cabin again.
