We had a wonderful time staying in NOLA at this property. It really is a great street in the bywater, and it's only about a 20 min walk to the French Quarter and a grocery store. There is so much to do and see that's within walking distance. And to top it off, the owners, Dan & Jon are attentive and fabulous. We definately plan to return!

The house is so relaxing. Took us back in time with the original details of the home. Unique neighborhood that is cool to explore. We plan on staying here in the future.

I’ve visited NOLA many times, but typically in the Uptown area. It was very nice trying a new neighborhood. There was lots to do within walking distance, and the French quarter was only a few mins via Uber. The house was nice, we had 5 guests and felt pretty well accommodated, the bathroom could feel cramped at times. Otherwise, the house was well stocked and comfy. The only negative I had was that the neighbors in the other unit sounded nearly crystal clear through the wall at times. It could get a bit noisy, with their music, opening the pocket doors, and rolling in and out their bags. I get that it’s a shotgun house and there is a door that leads into that unit so it can be hard to avoid, but we were abruptly awoken a few times throughout our trip.

Quick visit to New Orleans.

We really enjoyed our stay in Bywater. The property and area was really cool and artsy and just far enough away from Bourbon Street to relax.

The house was super cute and spacious. Very clean.
We enjoyed the walking distance to the French Quarter. Found many great restaurants. Parking on street seemed like it would be tricky and then a spot opened up right in front of house.
The only hiccup was we didn’t receive entrance code until about 1 1/2 hrs after our check in time. Not sure if app wasn’t responding to owner. Owner finally called us back . They were quick to respond the rest of our stay. We would stay here again.

Enjoyed our time in New Orleans. We have never visited and was definitely a different culture. ( in a good way) loved the house we stayed in. It was very clean and stocked. Made the whole experience worth it!! Parking is a little crazy but would definitely book with them again in the future

Great location, great property, great stay. Only negative is street parking, which can get tricky on a busy Saturday; but wasn’t too bad. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

I found this place at the last minute and I am so thankful because it was beyond lovely ! Great space, super cozy bed, loved the neighborhood, and was friendly to our sweet doggy.

We had a great stay here over Easter break. The neighborhood is fun and close to lots of good food and fun. We walked 20 minutes into the French Quarter, either through the neighborhoods or along the riverfront. Dan and Jon were helpful, relaxed hosts, and their restaurant recommendations were excellent!

This property was exactly what we needed. The bedrooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed and the living room with cable and Netflix was nice as well. The bathroom had a strange smell emanating from it and the shower curtains were gross. We replaced them with new shower curtains. We loved the backyard area!
Every Lyft/Uber driver that dropped us off said that we were staying in a very nice neighborhood and we were right across from the country club.
On our last afternoon we were attempting to use the dryer for our jackets after being drenched in the storm and the housekeeper for the connecting unit gave us a little trouble.
Overall, great trip.

This is the place to stay in the Bywater. Comfy house, great neighbors, and our host, Dan, went above and beyond!

Bywater was the perfect location to visit NOLA for a week. The neighborhood is really walkable with little shops, restaurants, bars. Do not skip the Drag Brunch at the Country Club right across the street and stay for a pool day after. The house was clean and well appointed. We loved the tub and the king size bed was extremely comfortable. The patio is not as pictured but it was too humid to really enjoy it anyway. If you plan on cooking the kitchen has the basics. Communication with tour host was great! We were having so much fun that we stayed an extra day and would definitely book again!

The house was spacious and beautiful. There was some confusion with the air-conditioning and dan moved us to the other side of the house very quickly. It was stocked with everything you needed. The bed in the bedroom next to the kitchen seemed old and the center was sunk in I would recommend newer mattresses. The pictures on Vrbo showed the back patio area very well put together with nice furniture but it did not look like that. My daughter had her service dog with her and we were able to walk him down to a local park so he could run around. I would not walk in the neighborhood at night but during the day many people were out at the local restaurants. It was a very short drive to many things locally. It did appear that we would have difficulty parking however we were able to find spots fairly quickly close by our place and later in the afternoon you could wait till people left from the country club and park closer to your house. All in all I think this is a very lovely place I would recommend it.

We absolutely LOVED this house and the location is just perfect for those who want to experience New Orleans, but not Bourbon :) we walked to breweries, restaurants, and shops in the area with no issue at all. We even walked down to Frenchman street one night and it only took ~20 minutes. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

First off the bywater is a funky and artsy spot. We enjoyed that aspect of it. And it was surprisingly quiet to boot, which was a nice reprieve from the bustle in the FQ and CBD. My family, including two kids (10 & 8) walked most days to the FQ via crescent park, which is an easy trek. There are good restaurants/ cafes in the Bywater and that’s where we ate most breakfast and dinner. No need to go elsewhere. And we always felt safe even walking around the hood at night. The VRBO unit is located on a quiet street and felt surprising spacious. The tall ceilings may have something to do with that. It was a comfortable spot for 6 of us. And the back patio hangout was a nice place to relax and enjoy morning coffee. Beds were comfortable, the unit was clean and functional. There is some noise transfer with the adjacent unit. But we slept well. The shotgun style unit was a fun and unique experience. The hosts are excellent, helpful, and made the process super easy. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here and in the Bywater.

This property is a very cool old house. Everything was clean, well stocked linens and basic kitchen needs were provided. The house is across the street from The Country Club and a local bar that welcomes visitors and pours a strong cocktail! Dan, the property owner, was available for any questions. We enjoyed our stay so much that we wanted to stay longer. This house was already rented but Dan provided us with a contact who had a house available. We appreciate Dan's hospitality!

A great neighborhood vibe and completely comfortable to stay with dogs. Enjoyed walking them to the park around the corner and the park at the waterfront. Got to experience New Orleans from a locals perspective.

The check-in process was easy and the house was cozy. Bywater is a cute neighborhood with a coffee shop and delicious brunch spot within walking distance. It was a short Uber ride to the French Quarter which was perfect! We loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Everything was great. Easy to find and good location to explore the French quarter and bourbon street. The house is beautiful and has everything you need including a nice grill in the back area. Beds were very comfortable! The back area was nice but messy, maybe because of the recent storm. The kitchen ceiling fan needs some TLC also. Our TV remote was broken and the owner replaced it immediately which was awesome! The country club across the street has a really nice large pool and hot tub. The cover is $20. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely home!

Great home. Very clean. Good neighborhood. Parking was alittle hard. I would stay there again

Stunning high ceilings and wood floors. Traditional high New Orleans windows and doors. A beautiful historic home that was very comfortable. Handsome details but very down to earth furnishings, etc. so you don’t feel like you’re in a museum and afraid of breaking valuable objects. Area was great with cute homes and friendly bar across the street. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance. Passing North Rampart Street onto St. Claude is a risky area. Do not attempt at night or alone. Our hosts provided helpful touches with kitchen and bathroom essentials as well as plenty of towels.

They were super accommodating and easy to communicate with. Location was nice, made you feel like a local. Park nearby was great. Good walkable restaurants and bars.

Great space, perfect New Orleans charm. Really is the best neighborhood in the city. Close enough to hit the main spots but not to close. A great restaurant and perfect dive bar with late night pizza right across the street. Beds were comfy. Truly enjoyed our stay. Next trip I’m looking for this place again.

Wonderful property manager, really receptive and accommodating ! Beds were super comfy and clean, the location is perfect, French quarter is an easy walk and there are great neighborhood coffee shops, bars and restaurants, had a WiFi glitch and within an hour Jon had a fix! Place is original and charming , although a floor plan is provided, there is no dinning room as pictured, and backyard in not furnished as pictured, place is nice but not quite a spacious as pictured. I would happily rent from Jon again.

House is on one of the best blocks in the neighborhood, close to lots of restaurants and an awesome river-side park. The house itself is very comfortable and nicely-decorated, with super nice hosts and easy check-in!

This was the best ‘home away from home’ I have stayed in!! Everything you want or need is stocked in the kitchen and bathroom. The back patio is so adorable and peaceful. And the owner, Dan, was quick to respond to any questions that we had! Definitely a ‘must visit again’!!!

The place was really nice and the owners were very helpful. My family of 7 stayed and we weren’t cramped at all. Kitchen is a little small if planing on making meals for large groups of people. But it is still workable.
It is about a 1.6 mile walk from the French quarter and in a quiet neighborhood.. We would definitely rent again if coming to area.

Oh my god! I can't say enough great things about this house, location, and the hosts! The house was super cute and very clean! We had 7 people total and I never felt crowded. We loved being across the st from the country club. Definitely go over for a swim and a pina colada! The food was great as well. We were so close to everything we wanted to do and there was a super cute coffee shop right around the corner. It made our stay in Nola comfortable and convenient.
