Picture yourself sitting in the hot tub surrounded by the most refreshing forest. Take a deep breath, relax and find your city life and stress ease away. Or, you're having a glass of wine on the deck feeling renewed and be inspired to call friends at home to tell them you will not be returning. Seriously, you don't want it to end wishing you had more time. Chalet Quietude is a quiet place in the tranquil forest of the Smokey/Blue Ridge Mountains on 3 acres with two views. The surrounding land is vacant & undeveloped which adds to the privacy & quietude. It's an easy drive (15 minutes) to and from Asheville, North Carolina - 12 miles. Directions to the cabin are simple. The grounds are gently landscaped so as not to intrude on nature. Chalet Quietude is so close to Asheville, you never really sense you are leaving town. Yet, it is just far enough to be away from the city, in the mountains, and close enough for you to be in the middle of all the festivals and fun in just moments. Driving to the Blue Ridge Parkway (10 minutes), the Biltmore (20 minutes) or any other activity is easy. You will always feel you are in the center of activity, yet when you want to escape, Chalet Quietude is waiting for you, peacefully. It has become a romantic get-away for many couples celebrating an anniversary, engagement and/or birthday. A family retreat is also a popular reason to stay at Chalet Quietude. The chalet-styled cabin is comfortable and cozy, and decorated for your comfort. Plenty of windows to view the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. A wood burning fireplace sits proudly in the living area ready to create the beauty and warmth for your winter vacation with us. The furnishings were chosen to provide the utmost in comfort & relaxation. The pillow-top mattresses, bed sheets & pillows are luxurious & white for cleanliness. 3 bedrooms with king and two queens. Sleeps 6 comfortably. We have a full bath including a bathtub/shower on the main floor and in the loft we have a full bath with shower only. The kitchen is arranged for family cooking & conversation with a dining counter built around the cook top. We do NOT permit smoking indoors & cannot permit any type of pet even though we love them. Children are welcome with your respectful guidance. We have 4 flat panel TVs with DirecTv satellite & wireless internet, a washer/dryer, hair dryer, robes, and more. Our hot tub is in the best possible place to relax with the surrounding forest. Sunsets & soaking in the hot tub is the perfect end to a day of adventure & fun. It runs year-round. While the chalet sleeps 6, the rates are based on 4 guests. If you have more than 4 guests, there is an extra fee per night, per guest charge. The chalet location feels very remote, but it's not far from civilization. The privacy and amenities were exactly what we were looking for, and we had everything we needed. The driveway is very steep and narrow, just something to be aware of. We'll definitely plan to return.

Our host, Brea, was excellent. She communicated with us before, during, and after our stay. The home was well lit, clean, and very inviting. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrobes were a nice touch! The driver recommendations that Brea provided really were appreciated.
The home has all the amenities that one could want in weekend get away!

If you could give a 5+++ this property would fit the bill! From the pre=prep information from the host, to the directions while on the property, we always knew what to expect. The accommodations were well appointed, clean, and the view, spectacular! Sitting in the outdoor hot tub, beautiful fall leaves around us, you could not ask for a more relaxing and awe inspiring get away - we will be back, Chris and Peg

We had a great time at this property. It was in a great location and had a great view! The hot tub was a plus for sure. Everything was clean and we felt right at home. We had all traveled 8+ hours for a wedding in Asheville and we were close to everything we needed! Would stay at one of Breas properties again!

This home was very nice and well kept. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay! The view was wonderful. The house had everything we needed and Brea was such a pleasure to work with. She really takes hospitality to the next level. The thing I enjoyed the absolute most was watching the hummingbirds and butterflies every morning. Thank you for a lovely stay!

My friend requested a place in the woods with a hottub and this did not disappoint. The chalet is in a small community with neighbors few and far between. We were a group of 5 and had plenty of space and room and never felt cramped, which has happened in previous cabins.
Highly recommend having breakfast on the porch every morning as the views do not disappoint. We somehow were the only group that saw virtually zero wildlife during our stay besides the odd hummingbird or monster sized moth. Brea and David were great and checked in a couple times to ensure everything was good.
One thing to note if you arrive late at night, like our group did, it’s a very narrow road and the driveway is EXTREMELY steep upon approach.

The location is absolutely stunning. We have a very relaxing vacation just sitting on the deck in the evenings and hot tub. The city is absolutely gorgeous and we had plenty of places to see and be entertained during the day.

Sisters Mountain Getaway
If you are looking for a secluded, quiet property to allow you to spend time with ones you love, Quietude us it! If you also want to be close to a cute little town with plenty of art, shopping, and foodie options, this is also the place for you! The home was comfortable for all three of us. Little unexpected touches around the place and the fabulous views of the landscape from the back porch made this a vacation we will not soon forget!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway
We had a wonderful stay. House was well equipped with everything we needed for a family of four adults. We enjoyed mornings on the deck and the hot tub at night. There is a drive from the main road to the house so we would plan our days accordingly so we didn't have to make multiple trips to town. So peaceful and beautiful.

perfect quiet mountain house
We enjoyed our week. The house is very comfortable and convenient to many attractions. Brea has thought of everything - including homemade laundry detergent! I recommend making a meal plan and a complete shopping trip so that you can enjoy the house without having to go down the mountain.

Beautiful place
We loved our stay, the only drawback was the drive from there to downtown was farther than we realized and not being mountain drivers it was a little spooky driving back in the dark. Brea was fantastic at giving suggestions on hiking, eating and things to do

Terrific spot
Wonderful time, even with less than ideal weather, at the Chalet. Pictures don't do it justice. It's located at the end of the road, so there is no passing traffic adding to the sense of solitude -- and yet we were easily able to access downtown Asheville for dinners. Great support and communication, including when we ran out of propane -- delivery in time to save the porkchops!

The chalet exceeded our expectations! It was mountainously remote yet centrally located to airport, downtown, Black Mountains, Grove Park area.

This cabin has gorgeous views and everything was clean and well stocked in the kitchen as well as plenty of blankets and pillows with comfy beds and couches, TVs in every room, good WiFi, and even portable radiators if needed! Brea and her husband were great communicators throughout our stay for any questions we had. We have 2 teenagers, we hiked, went to the Biltmore, downtown Asheville, and spotted deer three times in a matter of 4 days!.

Lovely property, very good experience
We enjoyed a long autumn weekend at Chalet Quietude in 2021 and we had a great experience. We've rented many properties in different countries and this was one of our best experiences. The house is very well appointed and extremely well labelled for ease of finding everything. The communication from Brea and David was outstanding and the house has many tasteful instructions for light switches, where to find things and how to use the streaming television. We also appreciated Brea's recommendations on hikes in the area and restaurants. We took her recommendation for Copper Crown and had a delicious meal and great service. We are kind of foodie and definitely recommend this restaurant. Thank you Brea for the beautiful property and great experience.

Gorgeous mountain getaway
We had a great time at this house. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and spacious, the place was clean. Brea was a helpful and informative host - be prepared for her to send you all the information you might want about Asheville and her cottage (be prepared to be overwhelmed by it, then go through it at your leisure - you can plan your whole stay out of her information).

A magical place close to Asheville
My sister and I rented Chalet Quietude for a short vacation in Asheville. The location of the chalet was idyllic, and the house itself was lovely. There were beautiful views of the mountains and no other houses in sight. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch every morning and the hot tub at night. We were very close to Asheville and surrounding site and appreciated the communications we received from the owner prior to our stay. Would definitely recommend and stay there again!

Luxurious Getaway Tucked in the Mountains
This beautiful house delivered everything we could have possibly asked for: spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, plenty of dishes for cooking, and the location was the icing on top. I grew up in Asheville, and this might just be the best view in all of Asheville! The hot tub was great, and we didn't want to leave the large deck. Communication with Brea was excellent, and she provided every bit of information to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We will be back!
