About this house rental
For a lakefront escape book your stay at Casa del Lago! This 1,100 square foot home comfortably hosts up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Step inside where you'll be greeted by a spacious living room with plenty of comfortable seating and an HDTV. Just behind the living area, you'll find the kitchen that includes modern amenities, cooking and dining essentials, and plenty of space to whip up a great meal. Just off the kitchen is the dining table that includes a table for 4 and overlooks Canyon Lake. The bedrooms are set up for comfort. The first bedroom features a queen-size bed with attached half bath. The second bedroom includes a queen-size bed and 2 twin beds. The full bathroom includes a vanity and shower/tub combo. A washer and dryer can be found in the basement area and is available for guest use. Outside, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a beverage on the breezy porch, play ping pong, grill with a view, rest under the shady oaks, fish from the shore, or swim in the refreshing lake waters. Casa del Lago is a perfect place for letting the kids play outside and taking in the Great Outdoors! Then, there's the location Casa del Lago is located right around the corner from the nearest boat ramp, Canyon Lake Golf Club, and Comal Park. Plus, you're only minutes away from the nearest town and Guadalupe River tubing access. *You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times for this home is 6 guests. We manage several nearby rental properties and therefore often have cleaning staff in the area. Please come and have a good time, but be aware that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive to surrounding neighbors will result in you forfeiting the remainder of your stay. *No smoking or pets are allowed on this property. *There is a limit of 2 vehicles unless otherwise approved. We spent three nights here just after Christmas and really enjoyed the location, the walks to the shore, the deer roaming around (some coyotes at night). Very nice place for some relaxation and midway between LBJ and San Antonio, both of which we visited. Tue nearby Italian restaurant was a nice find and treat. Well run property. Thanks

The kids felt like they were in a tree house and loved feeding the deer! Nice location on the lake. Close to great swimming beaches.

Enjoyed the stay. Water was really low so we went over to ramp #5 and had a blast in the cove. Deer were fun to hang out with at night!.

The property was fantastic. It had a great living space with plenty of room for the family. It is on a cul de sac so very safe for children if they want to ride their bikes outside. The neighbors were also very friendly and helped with local information. The one problem we had (which can't be controlled) is the lake level. We travelled 4 hours with our boat and all the near by ramps were closed. We had to travel about 15/20 minutes to the nearest ramp and there were so many people trying to utilize the ramp that it took over 2 hours of waiting.

Beautiful home on Canyon Lake. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for our family of 5. Many different activities to choose from without even having to drive anywhere. Swimming, fishing , kayaking, ping pong- this place had it all.

This home at Canyon Lake was what we needed to relax and recharge. We would definitely stay here again. There are a lot of deer in the area. Drive Safely!

Overall experience was pleasant. The house sits pretty far back from the lake so be prepared for a lot of walking back and forth. We didn’t go down to the water as much as we thought we would because of this. Sitting on the back porch was great, the corn to feed the deer was a nice touch. LOTS of deer. The overall cleanliness of the house was good when we first arrived, it smelled nice and looked clean. However, we did start noticing pet hair everywhere. My black shirt was covered in this hair after sitting on the couch just a few minutes. You could see it through out the house on the floor. Other than that everything else seemed to be fine. I would have preferred there be a lock on the inside of the door for locking at night but it’s only the main lock with a code. It was a pretty quiet neighborhood other than the construction going on down the street, could definitely hear it in the mornings. I wouldn’t mind staying here again, minus the pet hair.

Overall a great stay
Accomodation was well equipped with everything needed for cooking/grilling and having a great time together as a family with games, books, wifi and more. The deer outside the cabin everyday was the highlight of our kids trip. The beach area was further than we realized and a trek to get there with 5 kids in tow, especially with one on crutches, but it was not miscommunicated, we just thought our cabin sloped down to the water and it takes some maneuvering to get there. The cabin cleanliness was decent but could probably do with a deep clean of windows etc. Overall though a great stay and we would come back.

Summer Vacation
This property is a hidden gem! We came to this region to enjoy the outdoors and beautiful lake, and this property did not disappoint. For a family of 4, the home was comfortable with room to relax and let our kids play. The walk out deck provided beautiful lake views and lots of deer feeding/watching. We replenished the corn for the future guests to enjoy the little deer family like we did!
The ground floor patio under the deck was a good shaded spot to eat, relax, and recharge with a nice breeze. Loads of outdoor games and water floats were a big bonus! Would have loved to use the fire pit, but there was a burn ban in effect so no open flames.
The tree swing and chairs overlooking the lake was a nice spot in the evening as the sun set. But the best part was walking straight from the house, right to the lake edge for an easy swim/float in the beautiful blue water of Canyon Lake. Very quiet and calm area to swim and hang out in. We even paddled out to the boat ramp (maybe 100 yards) and explored the rocky ledge for cliff jumping and more swimming almost daily.
We were very surprised with how quiet the area stayed, even in these peak summer weeks (didn’t notice many people going to the park or boat ramp). We did bring our boat and launched it at the park boat ramp ($20 fee for the day). It was fun to explore the lake, swim, and fish from the boat, but you are still able to do all of that right from the property.
We would definitely stay here again! Perfect relaxing property with private lake access and in close proximity to many things to do in the hill country!

The location on the lake was great and the view was amazing, but everything was very outdated. We are not high maintenance people, but all of the furniture was very uncomfortable (indoor and out). We couldn't really relax while we were there. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy. There were cob webs in the corners, cheese on the microwave handle, plates/bowls in the cabinet all had stufff stuck to them, strange substance splashed on the bathroom wall... it wasn't completely terrible but I wouldn't recommend it, it was way overpriced for what we got. There was also a wasp infestation. We killed a few nests with dish soap and water but our kids were still getting stung. They loved the ping pong table but couldn't really enjoy it due to the wasps. The neighbors were very sweet and we still had a good time, but I don't think its worth the money. (Almost 950 total for 3 nighs).

We LOVED our stay at Canyon Lake. The house was super clean and had so much to offer. It's obvious the owners go out of their way to provide plenty of extras to guests. We loved the welcome snacks, outdoor ping pong table, patio views and so much more.

Uncomfortable seating, wasp infestation, great view

Upon arrival, the check-in process was very easy and communicated codes in advance. If you want early check-in, a fee is charged. I thought this was tacky. I've never had any other locations ever do this, as it's just a nice accommodation if able to do so. At first glance, the house appears clean. However, the track to the slider door was filled with bugs, dirt, debris that could easily be vacuumed out. Both larger beds had stained sheets and were very loud. If you moved you woke up from hearing the springs. The master bathroom does not have an operable shower, which is misleading from the picture and description. The downstairs and upstairs is closed off so the only way to go downstairs is through the outside and around the house. With this being the case, the downstairs slider and door were not and could not be locked. That was a little sketchy. Plan to bring your own firewood. Although the description pictures and promotes the firepit in the backyard, there were 2 logs for us to burn. Overall, our stay served our purpose because we were out doing activities and just needed somewhere to rest our heads. If you were truly planning to spend your time at this house and on the property I would not recommend.

We stayed here for a few days in spring break. The outside space is what I paid for and it delivered! It was so free and beautiful. We had picnics and flew kites. We tried to go fishing but our lines kept getting caught on rocks so we stopped. We told scary stories at night around the fire and my husband barbecued. We even had a family of deer visit us twice. There was deer feed right outside the sliding doors so that was fun for the children. The inside was small and cozy, and extremely clean. My only con would be the lack of amenities, but I'm sure that's a Covid thing. There was also no toaster that I could fine. Other than that though, they had pots, plates, cups and a coffee machine. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was a great way to disconnect and enjoy nature😊
