About this house rental
Welcome to the beach! We open our home to you, your family and friends. This home and property was originally built as a family, beachfront vacation home and our intent is to share this wonderful home for years to come. This home has 4 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths and air conditioning in all of the bedrooms and living areas as well as the perfect beach right outside your back door. (In the event you need more room, we also have a unique Hawaiian HOME on the 150' wide property. It is a very special home built in the 1960s. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and sleeps 6 guests. This adjacent home can be viewed at: VRBO #2062788. If you would like to rent both houses together, you will be able to sleep 16 guests.) The property is in a quiet residential neighborhood. One block away is the heart of Kihei Town, with local restaurants, pubs, fast food, music, night life, drug store, Kaiser and so much more. Beautiful tropical plants adorn the property, including a number of coconut palm trees and a 120+ year-old banyan tree, banana trees and a lemon tree. Coconuts are trimmed from the trees twice a year; it is an amazing experience to see the trimmers shimmy their way up the trees and cut the coconuts. The house is a beautiful 4 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home that sleeps 10 quests. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds, a third has 2 queen beds and the 4th has 2 twin beds. The house has beautiful flooring, White QUARTZ countertops and WHITE wooden kitchen cabinets. All 4 bedrooms are located on the 2nd story with a large deck that overlooks the BEACH AND OCEAN. Both of the king bedrooms have sliding glass doors that access the 20' x24' large Lanai. Morning coffee is a must from this location, as you watch the OCEAN ARISE AND QUIETLY SLEEP. The sunsets are incredible from this location. Lanai and the West Maui Mountains provide a perfect backdrop for the setting and raising sun. All of this adds to the incrediable locate and privacy. More the All of the beautiful furnishings are comfortable, making it easy to feel at home, relax and enjoy your vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked (including a blender, toaster oven, microwave, rice cooker, coffee pot). All the cooking utensils your can possibly need can be foun in this kitchen. If you need something other than what we have, just let us know. We are more than happy to accomadate you. The kitchen has great counter space and the dining table expands to seat 12 guests. Relax on the large lanai facing the lawn and beach beyond, or lounge on deck chairs and lounge chairs, on the lawn. This home has everything you will need to enjoy your vacation---you feel at home the moment you walk in. You would never know you are one block from the main road of Kihei Town. There is a hand built lava rock wall that fronts the property. There are a few reasons we decided to have the wall built---we want our guests to feel comfortable and secure and also for our guests can enjoy the wall and discover the beauty of lava, the fabric of our Island. The house is adjacent to a 2-bedroom house under common ownership, which is also available to rent. It can sleep up to 6 guests, 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds and a brand new Murphy bed with a very comfortable mattress. Please contract our manager for more information or look us up the the VRBO website. We are so glad we chose this property for our stay in Kihei! The other reviewers were spot on about what a wonderful unit this is. The ocean view from the property is amazing, and it was great to have a grassy area where our children could play when we were not on the beach. We took advantage of the large outdoor dining space every evening, and the fridge offered plenty of storage space for nightly cooking.
Our favorite thing was watching the sunset, followed by the sea turtles coming up on the beach for the evening. We used the provided beach chairs to enjoy this beautiful event, and one night we counted 13 turtles of varying sizes. It was a delightful new experience for us to watch them come ashore. We appreciated the provision of beach towels, chairs and outdoor toys for our vacation.
The host, Brian, was professional and very responsive to our communications.
Even though the unit is in a neighborhood with little space between houses, it was quiet and we rarely noticed noise from neighbors or the street. The home is conveniently located to grocery stores, ice cream shops and gift stores.
It was great to have cable TV, as this seems to be a lacking feature in VRBOs these days. The living room offered a good amount of space for our group of 7 and we never felt crowded. The individual AC units kept the house cool.
We loved the daily visits of the wild chickens and roosters and the sounds of the myna birds.

We had a wonderful week in Maui, the house is in a perfect spot with a beautiful lawn that leads down to a sandy beach. Kehei shops and dining are a short walk away! Brian was great to work with and the trip, and check-in/out were all super easy.

This property could not have been more amazing! We came as a family to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary, and this house was everything. Convenient, beautiful, and well appointed. There could be no better way to do Maui than this house. A+

This is a beautiful house on a beautiful beach. Brian, the property manager, was extremely easy to work with. Access to the beach was easy, even for our 92 year old visitor.
One slight caveat: in the visitor's book in the house it was mentioned that there are poisonous black urchins in the coral in the water right there by the house. Whether this is true or not we didn't establish, but we didn't feel comfortable getting into the water there too much. We just went down a ways farther.
One more thing needs to be mentioned: there are Hawaiian green sea turtles that came up onto the beach every single night we were there!! I can't overestimate what a thrill that was!
I highly recommend this house for a wonderful beach vacation & hope we get a chance to stay there again.

This property is really great for a family vacation. We had 6 adults staying here and we had lots of space to be together and have our own space. Kitchen allowed us cook many of our meals and huge big tables inside and out were great.

This place is in the perfect location! The beach is steps away, where you get to see beautiful sunsets and turtles. The sand is soft and you can walk either direction for great views and exercise. Go out the front door and you have a short walk to local restaurants and shops. The outdoor dining table was a fantastic place to eat breakfast while listening to the waves. Used the large outdoor grill for fish dinners! This place was perfect for our group of nine. We had a magical time in Maui! I would recommend this place to everyone.

My family (my wife and I, our 4 and 6 year olds, and both my wife’s and my parents) stayed here for a week. The backyard of the house leads up to the beach. The 4 bedrooms upstairs are spacious and well positioned. The downstairs area of living room, dining room, and kitchen was a great place for us all to get together to eat and socialize. This house is also within walking distance to various restaurants, food trucks, gym, grocery, and ABC stores. Brian was responsive throughout the week and did a great job of helping us have a comfortable stay. Highly recommend! If we go back to Maui with a group/family, this would be our number one choice again.

Since 4 of the 7 who came had never been to Hawaii, this house and the location were FABULOUS. Direct access to the beach, turtles at night, GLORIOUS sunsets.

Our time at the Palms property on Uluniu Shores was beyond incredible! My extended family wanted to be together to celebrate an important milestone, and what better place than Maui?
This property in Kihei was an absolute Godsend. Everyone in my family—from the toddler to the grandparents— enjoyed this spot so so much! Having coffee on the deck, watching the sunrise, hearing the various tropical birds was such a treat every morning. Oh, and witnessing the turtles come ashore every sunset.. ugh, magical!
Brian had the place well stocked with towels, lawn chairs, games, beach stuff, anything you’d ever need. He was also easy to reach for anything—questions, recommendations, etc.
We cannot recommend this place enough! Also, it’s location is great…very walkable to the swap meet or nearby groceries. Like others have mentioned, if only we had booked more days! We miss it already. Mahalo again, Brian!

This was a family trip to celebrate a milestone birthday! The setting was ideal. Large grassy area for the grand babies to play on, and short path to our own quiet beach. The sea turtles came to shore every night which was magical to watch.

My family and I truly enjoyed this beautiful house on the beach. Watching the sea turtles was an amazing experience. We had never stayed in Kihei before and found the town to be delightful. I would truly recommend this house to anyone that wants to relax and have a true Hawaii experience.

Our hosts were responsive and seemed to genuinely want their guests to have an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the little extras our hosts provided, like the well-stocked herbs and spices, the frangrant soaps, and the lawn games. The ocean side of the home’s location can’t be topped- sunsets, green sea turtles, and palm trees. And the overall positioning on Maui is centrally suited.

This was our second family stay and we enjoyed it just as much. Perfect for our multigenerational group. Great kitchen, comfy bedrooms and family room, turtles on the beach, and a convenient location near shops and restaurants. We hope to come back again and continue this family tradition. Almost on the beach with short walk to turtle strewn sand. Has only 2 1/2 baths - need one more. Clean and fully equipped. For 11 in our party a great deal. Close to restaurants and shopping. Very much enjoyed our stay.

We rented both houses for our family of 4 and my sister’s family of 5. This location is absolutely perfect. You can walk to grocery, shops and restaurants. The view out the back and the yard are picture perfect.

We loved staying at the house. First of all the owner, Brian was very responsive in answering our questions prior to our journey to Maui. The house was as advertised, big and well organized for our large family. The beds were comfortable and the house was well appointed. The a/c system worked well and kept the rooms nice and cool. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels were provided. The abundance of beach chairs were greatly appreciated.
The location of the house could not be more perfect. We used the lawn and upper deck for watching every perfect Maui sunset and greeting every morning. The lawn is beautiful with the mature palms and blooming Plumeria tree. We enjoyed the constant bird song and hearing the waves come upon the shore.
The only issue we had and the reason I did not rate all stars is that there was a roach issue at night in the kitchen. Management responded and the rest of the stay was roach free.

Our multigenerational family (9 of us from 2 yrs to 74) fit nicely in the house. We especially loved the outdoor spaces. Lovely lanai with a big table. We ate outside every night to the sound of surf. A big lawn (great for croquette and 2 year olds). And of course the magical turtles.

Our group of 10, ages from 4 - 80 had an excellent vacation! The house is located in an excellent area - we could see whales breaching while eating on the patio and did not have to pack up and drive to the beach every day. We all enjoyed seeing the turtles on the beach and in the water. With young ones, the ocean out front is a great place for them to play! Thank you so much!!

We cannot rate this place highly enough! The location/property are incredible and the house was perfect for our family get together with little kids, including a well stocked kitchen, laundry, outdoor eating space, beach toys and ample parking. Brian is very responsive and went above & beyond to ensure our stay went smoothly. We would go back in a heartbeat!

We had a magical family vacation in Maui at this amazing property! The large yard spills out onto the beach where we spent hours snorkelling, building sandcastles and boogie boarding. Other reviews said this beach was too rocky and shallow for swimming but with a pair of water shoes or snorkel gear it was ideal! 40+ turtles slept on the beach each night. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

We really enjoyed our stay in Kihei. The house was in a great location, close to shops and restaurants, but also close enough to beach that you can hear the waves with the windows open. Also it was so close to where the turtles come up on the beach and I would say seeing them each night was the highlight of the trip. House also had yard games(we played many games of croquet) as well as boogie boards and beach chairs and beach towels available which was great. Owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay and messaged us a couple times to make sure everything was going well. I would definitely recommend the house and stay here again if we return to Maui.

This house is amazing! Great size with plenty of space for everyone, very clean, and the location is superb. Sitting out on the patio while having coffee in the morning was a special treat. Just the sound of the ocean and the local birds. It was very nice. The location of the house is so close to everything you could want or need...restaurants, grocery stores, various beaches, etc. On our first night, we headed to the beach behind the house at sunset and we were privileged to see more than 25 sea turtles coming up onto the sand. It was such an amazing sight! If you get out there a little before sunset, you can see the turtles pop their heads up from the water as they head to the beach.
If you are a pie lover, I highly recommend going to Maui Pie, a one minute car ride from the house. I had the coconut cream pie and it was the best I've ever had!
I would definitely stay at this house again! The hosts were very easy to work and checking in and out was simple and easy.

This house was very well suited for what we wanted from our Maui family vacation. The house is clean and has all the basics. The view is unparalleled - just a lawn and then the beach behind the house. Felt very private and relaxed. The big table under back deck was great for daytime lounging with a good book. The turtles on the beach at night were very special. All the stores you need are close by. Owner was responsive and professional. We feel lucky to have found this house. Thanks.

This house was nothing but amazing, house was clean and stocked, had everything we could possible need. We stayed 5 nights with 4 adults and 3 kids and 3 teens!! Beach and yard is perfect, we loved checking out the sea turtles each night and love watching the roasters and chickens each morning. The beach equipment, boogey boards, and sand toys was a major bonus. Grilling and enjoying meals outside morning and night was so relaxing while watching the sunsets. The house was clean and as advertised. With only two full baths and seven adults, getting bathroom time took some coordination, but we managed. Some of the outside seating needs replacing with several slats broken. Roosters and chickens are everywhere and they will start crowing at 4:00 am and continue most of the day. The flies are very annoying in the morning if you don’t have long sleeves and pants. The biggest disappointment was the beach area. Very rocky and unusable for swimming. You have to walk about three hundred yards to find a nice sandy beach. Not a huge problem but you do have to transport coolers and chairs over that distance. Dining areas both in and out were fine for a group of seven. Back door is hard to lock. Good location for sunsets and restaurants. I probably would not rent this place again because of the issues listed.

Overall, a comfortable stay and fantastic location. The house was fully equipped with all the amenities, and the extra beach gear was appreciated. The lush backyard and beach access / sea turtle visits made for a magical experience. Our repeated phrase, Wowee Maui!

Amazing Experience
My family of 11 stayed at this property for 10 days and it was incredible! The house is situated on a quiet street but just a few blocks from shopping centers and restaraunts. The house is wonderful, we spent most of our time on the back patio and down at the beach, there's a grassy yard that the kids enjoyed immensely and the beach is 20 yards from the patio. We were so grateful for the supply of beach towels, boogie boards, and beach chairs! We had everything we needed. An awesome little addition that we used all the time was the out door shower, no dragging sand all over the house! Another thing we enjoyed was going to the beach each evening and watching the sea turtles come up to rest, they were everywhere and it was awesome! My entire family was able to relax and decompress and just enjoy the beauty of the island, due largely to the condition and location of this great home. We would all stay again!

Amazing location

This property is everything advertised! Everything that you could want is available, bbq, sports equipment, beach towels, lawn chairs, access to beach, boogie boards.. the works! We cannot say enough how wonderful it was! Brian was super accommodating and went out of his way to make sure our stay was enjoyable!
