About this house rental
This upstairs unit has a sunny living room with a 65" smart TV with Apple TV, and lots of games to enjoy with family and friends. The dining area can seat 8 comfortably. In the kitchen every convenience is at your fingertips; Kitchen-Aid range, convection microwave, Bosch dishwasher, and a Kitchen-Aid full size refrigerator with filtered water and ice-maker. The king bedroom features a Casper mattress and the 2nd bedroom is a queen mattress. In addition to the king and queen beds there is a self-inflating queen air mattress and a twin cot that can be set up in the family room. Linens are a high thread count with fluffy down/alternative comforters. One bath has a shower and tub, the second has a walk in shower. A new, full-size, stackable washer and dryer are in the home. Outdoor spaces are important to take in our perfect, year round San Diego weather. There are two patios, one with table and chairs and a Weber charcoal grill, the other with fire-pit and Adirondack chairs. Two balconies off the living room are a great spot to watch the hummingbirds and green parrots that live in our neighborhood.

We've been staying in Mission Hills since 2013. We always come out in February to get out of the gloom of Louisville weather. We've stayed several times in 3 different VRBO's - all of which have been very nice but the all around best has been Casa Monticello. Melinda and Bill have done a terrific job on restoration and the location is wonderful. Close to everything either by walking, Trolley or car. The house is well kept and everything from the interaction with the owners to the ease of check in was easy going. Great place.

Great place in a great location. The house had everything we needed & the whole place seems to be “new” from appliances to extras. Our favorites were all of the light fixtures & artwork. The only downside was the bathrooms are not connected to the bedrooms. They were however newly remodeled with great showers! Another great plus was ample street parking anytime. Will definitely stay there again!

Very clean modern and comfortable home with every necessity and appliance needed. I say “home” because it felt just as cozy as if it were your own. It’s obvious that a lot of love care and attention has gone into every detail to make you feel welcome and comfortable. I would DEFINITELY recommend and we look forward to another stay!

Fantastic property. Clean, great layout, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, plenty of street parking and walking distance to everything. The balconies were great to chill and the hosts were very responsive and nice. We were 3 adults staying there and truly enjoyed the property. Thanks for welcoming us to your wonderful home away from home.

We really enjoyed our Labor Day weekend here. This place has all the amenities you would need for a fun and relaxing weekend with family. Our hosts Bob and Melinda were very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Your home is beautifully kept and decorated and we loved this historical property. Everything we needed and perfect location to get to everyplace we wanted. The neighborhood has a great coffee place and market within walking distance and feels very safe. Bob and Melinda provided a very comfortable stay. Would love to visit again.

We loved every minute of our stay. The home is we’ll taken care of and a charming piece of preserved history. We enjoyed how it was located close to everything. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer. We will definitely book again.

What a nice stay. 4 adults and the rental had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy the area. Very quiet neighborhood and friendly owners on-site who had great communication. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Casa Montecito was a great place to stay. Centrally located to San Diego attractions like the Zoo, Sea World and the beach!! The unit is very well appointed and we loved staying there. Additionally, Bob and Melinda were very responsive and really nice as well! We hope to stay at there again some time!

A lovely property in a quiet and delightful neighborhood.
Almost everything we wanted to see, or do, was no more than 10/15 min away by car or foot.
We'll miss our mornings and evenings on the patios enjoying the cool air, sights and sounds, of your wonderful city - and look forward to coming back.

This lovely spot, ensconced in an historic Mission Hills neighborhood, is renovated to perfection. An open floor plan with gorgeous wood floors, a clean kitchen with all the amenities, convenient bathrooms and laundry and three balconies with great views. The decor featured original artwork from around the world, fine antiques and comfy furniture. Our hosts Bob and Melinda were gracious and considerate. We were within 10 minutes from Balboa Park, Old Town, Hillcrest, the Zoo, downtown and there was always a parking spot right out front when we returned home after a long day! We will definitely return next time we come to San Diego.

This was a great place for our little/big family to stay! Very kind hosts downstairs were so understanding about the fact that we had triplet toddlers with us and tons of noise! The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

Our stay was great. The residence was very welcoming at a great location to everything. The house and neighborhood was very nice and beautiful. It comes with everything and more needed for a great stay. We really enjoyed our visit. We wish we had more time there. I would stay again next time in San Diego.

After a hectic 7-day cruise to the Pacific coast of Mexico and 2-day babysitting stint of our 2-yr old granddaughter at Disneyland, my wife and I were ready for a relaxing, quiet few days in San Diego. We hit the jackpot with this Mission Hills property. Beautifully decorated, excellent amenities, 2-minute walk to a coffeehouse and convenience store…we couldn’t ask for more. So while my daughter and her husband gallivanted around San Diego’s tourist spots, we chillaxed the entire time. Our thanks to Bob and Melinda for being great hosts.

We loved our stay at Casa Montecito! The neighborhood is fantastic - we walked to dinner, coffee, and all around. It's an easy to drive to everything you could want to do in San Diego. And the unit itself is big, bright, clean. We will definitely be back.

We were in San Diego for our family spring break trip and stayed for a week. The house was beautiful, clean, and in a great location for all the different things we wanted to do around the city. Cute walk-able neighborhood, as well as an easy drive to downtown, La Jolla, or anywhere else you're looking to go.

Comfortable, spacious bedrooms, really nice bathrooms, 2 outdoor sitting areas on the walled balconies off the living room, perfect for family dining with nice kitchen, dining room, living room flow. A block away from coffee, deli and boutique shopping. Everyone who visited us there agreed that this is an exceptionally nice rental! The gracious owners live downstairs and are very responsive to your needs.

This is such a lovely home in a perfect neighborhood. Great places within walking distance, and you can also while away the hours on one of the upstairs patios. Perfectly decorated down the the last detail. ❤️Beds were comfy and the showers were great! This beautiful home will be our first choice whenever we are in San Diego.

This home was absolutely beautiful. It’s in a quiet neighborhood, comfortably accommodated four guests and is centrally located near attractions in San Diego. On our last day, we met Bob, the owner, who was very pleasant and provided us with historical information about the house. We will definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego.
