Nestled in Lewis Smith Lake, this attractive cabin for $396 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Welcome to "Hidden Gem" on Smith Lake. A mountain lovin' girl married to a lake lovin' boy found the perfect home to fit both of our loves. Hidden Gem provides guests the feeling of being nestled in a mountain cabin retreat while being located on beautiful Smith Lake. Our home has brought many Woosah (defi: tell someone to calm down and relax) moments for us that we would like to extend to you. This cabin is our family's vacation spot, but we would love to share with others when we are not there. Hidden Gem is a 3 bedroom 2 bath log cabin nestled in a cove located on the main channel in the central part of the lake. It is perfect for families with small children who want a secluded spot to swim or fish without worrying about boat traffic. The home is located just minutes from Duncan Marina (where boat rentals are available). The upstairs loft boasts a fantastic owners suite with a queen size bed, private bath with a spa inspired shower and relaxing sitting area with large flat screen TV, DVD player, and Wii play station. Downstairs hosts the remaining two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, and kitchen and dining area. Bedroom 1 consists of a queen size bed and has a TV and DVD player. Bedroom 2 has two full/ twin bunk beds, full size washer and dryer are located in this room. The living room has all leather furniture, flat screen TV, DVD player. There is a large video library available for your viewing enjoyment. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. There are also utensils and spices available for the avid cookers who like to whip up delicious meals! A charcoal grill is available for the grill masters as well. In addition to lake access from our 10 X10 swim pier, our home is located across the street from the neighborhood rec area that has a tennis court, basketball court, and football/soccer field. We do offer the use of any equipment we have (soccer ball, tennis racquets and balls, basketball, archery equipment) for our guest to use during their stay. The neighborhood boat launch is located just over 1/2 mile from our home and there is space available to store you trailer at the house. The outside of the house has a sloping walk way down to the swim pier. We offer a canoe, paddle board and aqua lily pad for guest to use for their enjoyment while here. There is a large fire pit for you to huddle around during the cool fall evenings and make s'mores or just enjoy some music from the outdoor speaker available. Or you might just want to enjoy some quiet reading time in the hammock that overlooks the lake. During chilly winter months you may just want to cozy up around the wood burning stove in the living room with a book or movie. The relaxing options are endless! This home has been a wonderful place for our family to relax and reconnect, we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we have. We look forward to having you as guest in our home and sharing in your own Woosah moments! (Is considered seasonal water and water levels fall low in late fall through the winter. There is no cable, but Wifi is available.)

Wonderful experience. Pictures don't do it justice. Loved the loft, comfortable and the best shower ever. The living area and kitchen were comfortable and inviting. Loved the wood burning stove! The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Plenty of parking, firewood, inviting porch and nice view. Would definitely stay here again!

Great cabin, very clean and comfortable and well stocked with everything from kitchen supplies to games to firewood. I especially loved the tree-filled lot. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to birds singing, acorns dropping, woodpeckers, etc.

Lovely home and property. One issue I had was the stone face on the stairs shifted and I ended up stepping down on it and it caused me to fall, backwards on the landing. No major injury but it was a bit scary. I would recommend the house just with a caution. Summertime would be awesome with it on the water. Thanks for letting us use your home.

It was a great experience. Property manager communicated with us and let us know water level of the lake before arrival. The Cabin/home was beautiful and all the equipment mentioned in the profile was on site. We will definitely let friends know about the home. Hopefully we can go back next year.

Great house, kitchen stocked with spices and essentials. Bathrooms included shampoo and plenty of towels for everyone. The walk to the lake is fairly short and not difficult, only a few stairs. Great porch, fire pit and some water toys to enjoy. You will not be disappointed.

This was a great choice for our summer sendoff weekend! We loved being able to accommodate our large family, including our two dogs. I will say it was a little tricky getting the dogs down to the dock but once we were there, it was worth it! The large float, paddle boards, and kayak that were provided were definitely favorites and the kids are already asking if we can go back next September. The house was very comfy, clean, and welcoming, and the hosts were extremely accommodating. It was lovely to sit on the front porch and have coffee every morning in the quiet forest like setting with the lake in view and enjoy the roasting marshmallows in the fire pit at night. Great memories for sure!

We enjoyed our little weekend getaway at Hidden Gem! The house was super clean and fully stocked with everything you need to stay! I'm just sad it wasnt cold enough to enjoy that amazing looking stove! The upstairs shower was a treat in itself with a rain shower head, i felt like i was visiting a spa! It was so roomy and was the perfect place to get a mountain feel while being at the lake! The homeowners even have stuff for you to use to enjoy your stay! It was absolutely perfect! The roads to the house was great too and that says a lot considering most roads that lead to the lake out that way are not maintained:) Also having ample parking was such a nice addition! You guys have an amazing Hidden Gem for sure!! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy a slice of it for the weekend❤️

We've stayed in this cabin twice now and both times have been great! The kitchen is very well stocked with appliances and cook wear. The provided kayak and floating pad were a ton of fun! The only downside is the path to the lake peir is fairly steep, so it can make getting the gear back and forth a little strenuous.

We made a last minute decision to stop at Smith Lake on our way home from a Nashville vacation. We reached out to Haley and she cheerfully accommodated us on short notice. She even went out of her way to make sure we had plenty of firewood. Its a lovely property in a safe feeling neighborhood with everything you need for a nice stay at the lake.

Overall, we were quite pleased. Our host was very accommodating and responsive. The property was clean and generally well-equipped, nicely furnished and comfortable. Access to the shore was easy compared to some other Smith Lake accommodations we have rented. Most unusual was a rare Chuck Will's Widow (cousin to a whippoorwill) calling close by both nights -- verified by the Merlin app.

Cabin was great - very clean and large feeling. The porch was great and so was the shower. Was a little steep accessing the water but that was communicated in the listing. My kids thoroughly enjoyed all the outdoor toys provided and the canoe.

The cabin is very nice and super-clean. The host takes care of every little detail and even provides a notebook of information of where to find what you need as far as groceries, food, etc.
My 9-year-old grandson referred to this not as a log cabin, but as a "log mansion." The cabin is spacious, warmly decorated, and is more than comfortable. I think you could just move in and live here as EVERYTHING you could need is available. IMHO, I think this is important to the host.
The last night it started to rain... no problem. We hung out on the porch, turned on the patio "mood" lights, listened to the thunder for a while while finding out what was on my grandkids' mind.
There is also an ample supply of board games to play at the family-sized table in the dining room.
Down at the water, there is a canoe and paddles available. Neither of my grandsons had been on a canoe, so getting them out on the water with their Dad was very special.
We hired a bass-fishing boat, and he picked us up at the cabin's dock. Got a couple big bass :)
One note...not at all a complaint, but a heads-up... like most of the lakefront properties in the area, getting down to the water from the cabin can be a challenge as the path is steep and would be a daunting for anyone with mobility challenges.
A fantastic experience with an owner who makes you feel welcome and knows how to treat guests :)

Had a great time with the grandkids for spring break. Cabin was perfect. Plenty of room and very well stocked. Master loft made great hangout for the older kids. So I stayed in one of the bedrooms down stairs, which was fine and put me closer to bunk room where younger children stayed.

This is a wonderful cabin in a great location. The property had everything we needed and plenty of room. The views of the lake and private access were great. The owner was very responsive and even went out of her way afterward to drop off items we forgot. We will definitely be back.

Everything was very nice The rooms were nice and clean. Beds were comfortable, and lots of pillows. This house is quite big and has two very nice bathrooms stocked with towels, and soaps. The airfreshener plugins were very strong, and it was a bit overpower ing. Also, if you are trying to bring a boat or multiple boats and trucks like we were. The parking is a bit challenging. There is not enough room to turn around, so you need to back all the way in down the narrow driveway, and there are trees very close to the driveway which damaged my boat trailer when I hit one on the way out. Overall the house was nice and a great place to say, but maybe not the best if you are trying to have a couple boats and trucks to fit for a fishing tournament.

We enjoyed our visit to Hidden Gem. The house had everything we needed and was so cozy and comfortable. Our 8 year old loved the playground area. We enjoyed ringing in the new year with the fireworks around the lake.

We had a great time at this lovely cabin on the lake! The house is beautifully adorned and has everything you might need, and the location is gorgeous. The master bathroom shower is truly special! For a couple, teenage kid, and in-laws, there was good communal space for us to be together and also enough for everyone to have their own space. If you are noise-sensitive, note that sound does carry a bit in the house.

We loved the cabin and the area, very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Summer would be better for kids and teens, not much to do in winter months, appears to be a lot more activities available during warmer times. The kitchen pots, pans and cooking utensils were probably nice when newer, they are pretty worn out. The charcoal grill is the situation, probably a lot nicer before it was worn out. Even so, we made do and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed at Hidden Gem for a few days while we were in town visiting family. The property was fantastic. We really enjoyed the board games provided. The provisions over all were very well thought out & seemed to cover almost all the bases. Everything was very clean & well maintained. We’re a very large family & we enjoyed our time at Hidden Gem. During the winter months the water activities are a little less appealing, but we are looking forward to staying here again & enjoying more of the outdoor accommodations.

This was such a wonderful cabin for our family to spend a few nights at! We absolutely loved having the access to the water to go fishing and a recreation area within walking distance to play football and basketball! This cabin is fully stocked with indoor and outdoor games, plenty to do even in cooler weather. The owners are extremely responsive and helpful. We can’t wait to come back again when it’s warmer and enjoy more of the water activities!
