Everything was as advertised and very clean. My family enjoyed the stay and Bob was wonderful to work with.

We had a great time a Sunset Beach. The Dawg House was clean, comfortable, and quiet relaxing. It was as advertised. We arrived a bit early, met the gentleman cleaning, he was very polite and thorough. We went shopping for our weekly supplies, when we returned he was finishing up. Great time! Communication with the owner was great as well. I would highly recommend it!

We loved staying here, not a far walk to the beach access. It is a trek once you get to the beach access to get to the beach but overall worth it. House was very clean we will be coming back. Only thing we had an issue with was the cleaning guy was suppose to be gone by 3 for our check in. He wasnt gone until almost 5 so we had to find something to entertain the kids. It wasnt horrible though and we really enjoyed the time.

It was not a terrible stay, but it also didn’t really feel like a “home away from home”. The house could have been more equipped with home essential necessities. We were told to replace what we used up, but there was nothing to replace from the beginning. Did have a problem twice with cockroaches, which I felt brushed off and told it was a “palmetto bug” which is a cockroach. After seeing the first one I was ready to go home. After the second sighting I felt absolutely disgusted. The check in process was kinda unclear… VRBO stated check in was at 3pm, and being someone that is 1500+ miles from my home we planned to get to the house at or after 3pm, but we had to wait until after 4pm.
Other than that it was a good stay.

My partner has a very sensitive sense of smell. This house was perfect in that there was almost no odor present.
The time was a true delight!!!

Great experience, close to the beach access, all amenities. A grill would have been nice, but they do have them for rent on the island. Beach was clean and well patrolled. Great relaxing vacation

We enjoyed our stay. Location and neighborhood are nice. I would stay again but wish the house would be updated. Some things felt a little tired.

Home was priced very well for a weeks vacation. My family and I enjoyed the location which was very quiet and relaxing. We all enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave. We would rent this home again in the future

We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were good size- primary bedroom was very spacious. Great room in the center of the house had plenty of room for all. We took our cabinet locks & eating items for our 2.5 year old grandson- otherwise the home was set up well for a toddler. Screened porch rockers were the place to be to watch the night sky.

Plenty of room for parking and the outdoor shower, wash down, and storage area were nice touches. Some of the appliances could be updated such as the dryer, but all in all, was a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here again.

This house is very well maintained, clean and in the perfect location to walk to the beach. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend this house and we will definitely try to reserve it for future trjps to Sunset Becah. We really enjoyed our stay!

I honestly don’t think the reviews explain this property well. It was a dream come true for my family.We literally couldn’t have been happier.Everything about this home was perfect.This was our first visit to Sunset beach but I sure hope to come back.We usually go to Florida but I will say that SSB is up there with our favorite plus much closer to home.I am struggling getting back to real life since we have been back. I just want to be back at the Dawg house! I highly recommend going to Kindred Spirit while there.I bought the book-Every Breath(Nichols Sparks)before we left, read while there and finished today.It is about Sunset and it will pull at your heart strings.I honestly can’t say enough about this place.It just felt like home.I also thought it was so nice that Bob sent an email wishing us a safe trip home. You will not be disappointed.

The beach is beautiful and access is easy with a public boardwalk at the end of each street.

Stay at Dawg House - Sunset Beach
Excellent. House well stocked with appliances and kitchen needs - blender, crock pot, utensils, cookware. Ideal location for beach access - 5 minute walk. Comfortable beds and furniture
of various sizes. Central air and ceiling fans cool house. Outdoor shower pleasant addition. Comfortable, screened front porch with a crows nest on roof- level. Manager very attentive to your needs. Highly recommend to others and we would like to rent again in the future

Nice Location
We enjoyed our stay at the Dawg House. The house was just a short walk to the beach. Bob and his sister were helpful in responding if we had an issue. I only wish the kitchen was better equipped with a few nice non stick pots & pans. We could've used a hammer because the top deck had a few old nails sticking up & the wood was splintered making it a hazard to walk around barefoot. Otherwise, enjoyable vacation. Thank you!

A great house in a perfect location.
The house was great. It was clean, the bedrooms were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Check-in and check- out were very easy. Bob was very prompt returning emails. We would rent again! We really enjoyed our stay.

Great Hospitality
Communicating with Bob throughout the planning process was great -- he was very responsive and helpful and proactively gave us contact info for someone local we could get in touch with once at the property. The property was well kept and we did not have any issues! We will definitely be coming back!

All was well!
The house was what was reported. We enjoyed it while we were there. Our family have enjoyed Sunset Beach for the past 38 years! Unfortunately we had to leave a week early, due to a medical emergency 😢
