While this place is in great location, it is in desperate need of a renovation. When we opened the door we were hit by the smell of must / mold; it is over-priced for the area.

I found this condo and was really excited to stay here based on pictures and reviews. The price was one of the cheapest I found for a 1 bedroom condo in Maui. The condo was nice but not exactly as well kept as the pictures implied. The bathroom seemed quite dirty. The grout was really dirty, especially in the shower. The toilet was leaking from the day we arrived. A maintenance man showed up with no warning at all wanting to replace bulbs in the ceiling fan lights. I told him about the leaking toilet & he said he couldn't find a leak but to keep an eye on it. We had to keep a towel on the floor during the entire stay to soak up water. The bedroom has no A.C., just a box fan & ceiling fan & it was still pretty hot. The A.C. in the living room is on a timer and has a note above it saying that tampering with the timer will result in extra charges. I took this to mean that I wasn't allowed to touch the timer and it was set for certain times to be on. That wasn't actually the case. It never turned on unless you turned the dial so for the first few days we were pretty hot until I realized I had to turn it on. Then when the air conditioner was on, it was so loud you couldn't hear the tv unless you had it blaring so the majority of the time in the condo we had no air on. There's only one small futon that faces the tv and it's not super comfortable, nor is there room for more than 1 person to lie down. It would have been nice to have a 2nd tv in the bedroom. Also you had to press the start button on the microwave at least 3 times for it to start. This definitely wasn't a renovated condo as the listing title implied. The location was good with the beach just a short walk across the street. But overall, I wouldn't stay in this unit again.

Beaches upon beaches!
Wonderful little place to stay. Comfy futon couch that turns into a comfy bed, comfy bed in the bedroom. We were well rested for sure. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was nice to have laundry right there. The location was perfect. It was a short walk to delicious restaurants and good happy hours, cute shops, and most importantly beaches upon beaches! We walked right across the street and dropped down into a little cove at the beach for some beautiful sunsets and great swimming. Turtles at sunset were a 15 minute walk down the beach. It was a quick drive to prime snorkeling spots and easy drives to explore more of the island. We will return!

Fun in the Sun
Great accommodations. Well equipped. Close to beach.
Umbrellas for sun in poor condition so we bought a new Tommy Bahama one and left it in the condo. Hope future guests will enjoy it.

Good location
The location is very convenient, close to the beach access and food options. The Lanai is facing a busy road and the sun. So can be hot and a bit noisy out there (minus a star)... but a beautiful sunset might make you forget that. The condo is getting outdated, so minus a star.

The bedroom is stuffy . No window that I can open the one you have keys in all the noise in the co.
It’s not as I imagined . Ocean view . Airy room . There’s no spare garbage bags , toilet tissues , we have to go and grab everything. I did spend thousands of dollars here . No broom in the closet just this thing that you can’t sweep sand off the floor . The fan in the bedroom looks like it’s looose as it twrils around . I am really sorry to tell you all of this you know . But if I could have my money back I would have moved .

The location is great right across the street from Charley Young beach! Also walking distant to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We had a few small issues in the unit that were rectified.
Our standards may be a little high but we found the unit to be a little tired. I think the condo owners could spend a little money on some upgrades. Overall we had a good stay and a great vacation!

Was a great experience, will be using Vacation Rentals from now on.
First time using a vacation rental. Suited me and my wife perfectly. Would pick this experience every time. The check in was flawless with the Phone app, extremely easy and convinient. Unit was in great shape, clean, had everything we needed and more. They had beach chairs and a boogie board with great beach towels. Was as close to a perfect experience as possible, we stayed at the Sheraton for a week before we came as we were worried about using VRBO. Had the conversation numerous times afterwards that if this is what we can expect we will not be using hotels again.
Couple helpful things to mention for people booking though. Extra charges... The rental was $1081 and there ended up being another $648 of fees and charges. With a little looking you find the cleaning charge of $110 and the Hawaii tax of $178 are extra, both fair and both expected. The rest you can’t find any mention of until invoice comes. I sent an clarification email after the billing and they didn’t reply, 59% in overage fees is EXCEPTIONALLY brazen.
One other small thing, we had a window not working properly, I called 3 days in a row where they were very friendly and courteous said they would come but didn’t actually show up.
Hope this helps, was a great experience once you finish choking on the hidden fees. My advice to VRBO and VRP, just tell people what it costs, property would have got 5 stars but It was extreamly offputting when I got the first invoice and you didn’t reply. Was going to put 3 stars but that wouldn’t be fair to the property and the owners.

Great Location, Clean, Well-Equipped Condo
As advertised, close to the beach in Kihei. Upgraded accommodation at reasonable rates during the high season. Easy check in. Condo is perfect for a Hawaii getaway.
Would’ve received 5 stars but the entire property site of Maui Vista has aged and will require upgrading over the coming decade.

Problems with Management Company
We lost power on 10/24 and had problems with the circuit breaker tripping. It took multiple visits from the management company, an electrician, and a handyman to troubleshoot the problem and as of 10/31, the circuit was still tripping. After 10/24 til 10/30 we had intermittent intervals of warm water but never hot. As of this posting, I have texted and left a message for Tyler to discuss his previous proposed compensation for the problems we encountered, however, my text message and voicemail have gone unanswered.

Great location in Kihei!
Condo was in a perfect location, close to beach and within walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. Office, security and maintenance staff were friendly and kept grounds immaculate. #1210 is clean and is well equipped with everything you could require for easy living in the condo and at the beach. The condo could use a facelift as it is dated and the futon couch is OK as a bed but horrible to sit on without extra pillows. All in all was value for the money and I would recommend Maui Vista.
I would caution folks about crossing S. Kihei Rd, even at the handy well lit crosswalk you pretty much have to stare down drivers to make them stop - even a police car sped up to get through after I hit the light to cross!

Perfect spot in Maui
Great condo, very clean and it had everything our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) needed. We really appreciated all of the beach provisions (coolers, chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, toys, etc) and the location, right across from Charlie Young beach, can't be beat. Lots of shops within walking distance and we liked that we weren't in the middle of all the resorts but that we were close to those areas (Wailea and Ka'anapali). Lots of locals on the beaches close by. Thank you for a great stay!

We stayed in 1210 Maui Vista for about 6 days in early October. The Kihei location can't be beat. Quiet area but close to the Kihei Triangle and mega-close to the beach. Just a quick walk across the street! The condo has beach chairs, snorkel masks, boogie boards, etc for beach enjoyment. The umbrella is pretty low quality so if you're there for a longer stay and like shade maybe invest in your own. The condo itself was adequate, certainly no luxury stay but good for the price. The kitchen was pretty outdated, but everything worked well. The kitchen utensils as well could use an update (and not a single sharp knife in the place) so you won't be making any elaborate meals here but it was fine for us. The bath and beach towels needed serious upgrading. This is a comment I saw from other reviewers as well on Airbnb so not sure why this hasn't been done. Living room furniture could use an upgrade as well. We had a couple small questions/issues and Maui Condo and Car were incredibly helpful in addressing them. They were happy to come by if needed and were very quick to assist. Only complaint is that we extended our stay by a half day and they forgot to program the keyless entry to expire later on, so I temporarily was locked out. Maui Condo and Car instantly resolved the issue when I called them, so no harm done. Just lucky I had my phone on me. You should know this unit only has a single wall AC unit in the living room. You must cool the bedroom with the fans supplied in that room. When we first arrived it was incredibly hot but wasn't a huge issue the rest of the stay. However the wall AC unit has a 4 hour time limit so we would wake up in the middle of the night hot and have to reset it. Overall I'd give this place about a 3/5. We'd consider it again for price/location but might want to upgrade to something a little nicer.

First of all I'm not from Wasilla, we came from Soldotna AK We were very pleased overall with the condo, it was great to read from the guests from the "guest book" as it was helpful with what worked or not with appliances....we ended up buying a new blender and utensils. Air Conditioner is on a timer to save energy, pain to keep turning it on and main room ceiling fan only works on slow. Was impress at how clean they kept the property compared to the one next door where other family stayed. The Condo is within walking distance to several shops and restaurants and right down from the beach for a fun day in the water! We would recommend staying at Maui Vista
