It was VERY clean, the place was beautiful, and the owners are very good hosts! The hot tub was amazing, the views spectacular, it was the best experience with a Vrbo (and the other one) that I've had. I plan on returning!

Weekend away with a family of 6. The view from the deck and beach is spectacular, and the house is really well kitted out. Perfect place to sit and read by big picture windows, watch the seals from the deck, chill in the hot tub and we had a wonderful evening around the fire pit. Would love to visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the beautiful Eldon House. The house is perfectly sited to allow for maximum views and privacy. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching eagles and heron feed on the flats below and the serenity of the environment. The house was very comfortable and had every amenity you could possibly think of. The owners are easy to deal with, quick to respond and make check-in and out a breeze. Highly recommend this property if you are planning to stay in the area.

This house was perfect. It had a variety of indoor and outdoor gathering spaces for every type of weather. Incredibly well stocked, every time we needed something it was right at hand. The beauty of the house was only eclipsed by the view. The beds were super comfortable too.

What a great property! Located right on Hood Canal, this house has beautiful, serene views from the living room and expansive outdoor deck area. It's very clean, well maintained, and really offers the perfect amount of privacy for a relaxing experience. And the location is great, just a mile north of Hama Hama Oysters and quick, easy drives to Brinnon, Hoodsport and surrounding beaches and forests for outdoor activities. We enjoyed using the hot tub, fire pit, outdoor grill and lounging on the deck. And we loved being able to walk down the stair access to the beach below. There was a wide selection of games, books and DVDs to use as well. The check-in and checkout process were easy and this is a property we would come back to. Highly recommend if you're looking to stay in the area.

Two of us stayed at Eldon House for three days. The house has great views from the rooms inside, from the spacious deck, and at water level down the (101) steps. It's quiet and very private. If we're fortunate enough to return to Hood Canal we'd certainly put Eldon House at the top of our list. Like all the properties we've used in Washington, the house has a "no shoes" policy, so in order to accommodate all those unplanned trips between the kitchen and the deck, bring something that slips on and off easily.

We held our intimate wedding ceremony in this hidden gem. Our wedding day began with seal sightings and a low tide. Allowing us to enjoy the beach while admiring the Hamma Hamma Oyster Farm from afar. We were also graced with two beautiful eagles 🦅 before and after our wedding ceremony. The memories we made in this beautiful home will forever be held close to our hearts. Sonny was amazing and very understanding and approachable. The home was well kept and had everything we hoped for and more.

Wonderful, quiet getaway
My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary by getting away to this lovely home on Hood Canal. It is perched up above the beach on a cliff with direct access via a staircase. The home is immaculate and very inviting. We loved all the amenities including the BBQ grill, hot tub, fully stocked kitchen, game room, and more.
One thing to note, there is no wifi or TV service, so plan accordingly. They do have a library of DVDs, VHS recordings and a HDMI cable to plug in your laptop (we downloaded a bunch of Netflix before heading out). It was a welcome change to slow down from the crazy pace of life and just relax.
We saw tons of eagles and sealife. The Hamma Hamma Oyster Saloon is less than a 5-minute drive away. There are few restaurant options about 15 minutes away in Hoodsport.
We loved our time here and hope to return soon!

Peaceful Getaway
Just as described by most other guests the Eldon house is a very beautiful home. The pictures just do not do it justice. The cabin feel with the wood walls was perfect and wall to wall windows provide nonstop nature and canal views. All the extras we could ask for, didn't have to do anything but show up with our food. Gamenights-Family fun-Peace-Relaxation.

Beautiful spot for a relaxing get away!
We stayed here while visiting ONP and it was the perfect place to come back to and relax. The views are incredible, the hot tub feels great after a long day of hiking, and the home has a great vibe to it. Would definitely recommend!!

This was a great getaway. I thought I would mind not having wifi but it made me really slow down and enjoy myself at the house. This house has everything you need, we walked down to the water everyday! Used the bbq twice to cook! I would recommend

The house is nice and the view is fantastic.
The house needs an overall deep clean as well as more attention to detail. Dishes were left on one table, a sticky substance was left on another, overall dusting, cobweb cleaning and windows should be addressed more frequently as well as the shower drain. I did bring most of these to the owners attention when I arrived and he was very thankful. I hope these things are addressed and your stay is more enjoyable.

The home is beautiful, and appears exactly as presented in the photographs. We found it to be clean, cozy and inviting. This was one of the better vacation homes we’ve stayed in, and we’ve been booking through VRBO for years!

Perfect for a family week away
We loved this house. The view, the deck, the access to the water, the fully stocked entertainment options for kids were all awesome. Just a couple of recommendations for those traveling with small kids - the sliding doors from the bedrooms are awesome, but both bedrooms have one and our toddler figured out how to unlock them in less than 3 seconds. We kept the security bar in the door in his room and told him the door was broken and couldn’t open and he believed it, so no issues! If you’re worried about a kid escaping down the stairs to the water the fabulous element is that there is a gate at the top of the stairs, which was hugely helpful! If your kid is an escape artist bring a padlock for the gate and they wont be able to open it. This is really a perfect house for families to get away to. Sonny was super responsive if ever we had a question. Planning when we can get out there again!

Perfect spot for 4 friends to disconnect and relax. The house is perfectly well stocked and could be a family or friend get away easily. The location to so many great hikes is wonderful and the beach so close to the property it's amazing.

Had a wonderful time at the Eldon House! It was the most perfect backdrop to my 30th birthday with my closest friends. Sonny was very communicative and detailed oriented. I cannot wait to go back someday!

We didn’t want to leave!
Our family made home here immediately. The layout of the house was perfect for being able to gain a little distance from kids while still feeling like a family unit. The owners were prompt and kind when we were trying to finagle how to warm the hot tub (it just needed time to warm after being turned on). The rest of our stay was beautiful and relaxing with perfect weather. The stairs fun to climb! The hood canal is gorgeous!!

Had a wonderful time
We had a wonderful long weekend at the house, relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the beach. We made ample use of the game room (we brought our own, but there is a reasonable little kid selection available). The kitchen was well appointed, as well. The only issues I can think of were a couple burnt out lightbulbs, and some wonky controls on the hot tub (couldn't ever get all jets on at once). Sonny was a pleasure to interact with. We're already looking forward to coming back some day.

Time to Relax
We loved relaxing at this beautiful home. The view from the patio of the hood canal is picturesque and so tranquil. We enjoyed coffee at the waters edge each morning and loved having our own beach for a few days. The hot tub was on but did not smell good so we didn't use it. Also the dryer did not work. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Relaxing and Great Location
We enjoyed our stay at the Eldon house. It was conveniently located near the main road, local store, and the Hama Hama oyster house. Yet, we had an amazing view, privacy, and access to hood canal. The house is spacious with well stocked kitchen appliances and cooking materials. We had plenty of room for our two families of four to enjoy the outdoors and spend time in the lovely indoor space as well. Sonny was very responsive when we had an glitch in the reservation system. My only suggestion is for guests to bring extra towels for the beach and hottub.

This house is so amazing! From the deck you have the most beautiful view of Hood Canal and beach access is just down the staircase. Weekend Retreat
The perfect place for a weekend getaway with friends or family. Cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The deck was the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon cocktail while playing games and chatting. The views of the Hood Canal were breathtaking. Just be ready for a workout going up and down the stairs to the private beach!
