About this cabin rental
Nestled in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, just beneath majestic Mount Pisgah, you will find Mountain Laurel Cabin. Even though you are just minutes from downtown Asheville, when you drive up the paved driveway you feel as if you are miles from civilization. Sitting on 15 acres of some of the most beautiful mountain land around, the cabin is enclosed by towering hardwood trees and native rhododendron, holly, and laurel bushes. Step up on the covered front porch and relax in one of the comfortable rocking chairs or the old fashioned porch swing. As you enter the cabin, you will be impressed with the beautiful wood floors and spacious cathedral ceiling of the great room, complete with a wood burning fireplace, cozy, comfortable furniture, books, as well as the TV, DVD, and VCR. The fully furnished kitchen and dining area are just off the great room, where there is seating for seven to eight. The master bedroom is also on the main floor, boasting a comfy queen-size bed with the master bath adjoining the bedroom. A large closet is in this bedroom, and houses extra blankets, pillows, and lots of games and puzzles. Upstairs you will find the sleeping loft, which would be perfect for a family, with its queen-size bed and two twin beds. A full-size bath with shower is also upstairs. How pleasant it is to doze off to sleep at night while gazing at the fire burning in the fireplace! Out the back door, step onto a deck that feels like you are walking into the woods. Sit out on the deck and grill some steaks on the gas grill while listening to the birds and watching the squirrels. Your own private hideaway! In the basement you will find a washer and dryer and an extra bed if needed, even though the basement is unfinished and unheated. The cabin is air-conditioned for the summer and has a heat pump and fireplace for winter. You can even leave the doors open and enjoy the cool, clean mountain air! This cabin was perfect and plenty of room for Me my husband, our daughter and 2 granddaughters
( 5 & 8 ) The space was amazing! With a big front porch for them to play..The cabin was immaculately clean and very well stocked! Nestled up on a Mountain side surrounded by woods. Seemed as though we were hours from civilization, yet there are several stores and restaurants within a few miles. I never had any reasons to contact the host other than to communicate that we had arrived and departed, however when we did message Mitzi was quick to respond! We had an amazing vacation and made some memories, if you plan to visit the area Please look up Pretty Place in Greenville, seeing the sunrise on the mountain side has to be the most beautiful views I have ever experienced!

This was the perfect combination of a bit rustic on the outside with a beautifully decorated, modern and clean inside. The feel was amazing. We felt very alone while also close to everything that we wanted to do -hike, visit Asheville, etc.
I highly recommend this property to anyone that wants a quiet and relaxing get away.

This cabin has everything you need for a peaceful getaway in the stunning mountains of North Carolina. The fireplace was a favorite . Warm and inviting . Mitzi is an amazing hostess.

We enjoyed our time in this beautiful cabin. It was perfect for us. We loved this area. We can go to Asheville,Hendersonville and Dillsboro NC. We wish we could have stayed longer. The Riddler’s were so good on giving us what we needed! Anyone looking for nice place to chill I would book here. JM and MD

We had a lovely 4-night stay at this cabin, complete with pine floors, wood ceilings, and the best front porch for enjoying the mountain air. The cabin was super clean and well kept. Beds were quite comfortable. An easy drive to get there, but privacy where you can’t see other houses. Great communication with the owners who were very helpful and sweet.

It was quiet and tucked away in the woods out of sight of any other homes. The location was perfect to get to downtown Asheville, the River Arts District, grocery shopping, restaurants, and a beautiful drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (only 20 minutes away). We had a great time and enjoyed meeting the owners. We would definitely recommend this cabin and would love to return.

The cabin is tucked away in a mountain but close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway so you get seclusion and access to a city. The cabin description is accurate, the hosts communicate well, and the area is beautiful.

We loved the property and enjoyed our stay. It was very convenient to Asheville and the Biltmore. It was very clean and inviting and decorated for Christmas. Having two bathrooms was great and the kitchen is fully stocked with coffee, tea, condiments, spices and all the cooking and serving supplies you need. We shopped at the nearby Ingles and easily prepared two hot meals each day. The fireplace and firewood are wonderful. I highly recommend Mountain Laurel Cabin.

We had a short 2-night stay but it was excellent. The house was clean and was exactly as described. We didn't want for anything. It wasn't a bad drive to the Biltmore and there was an Ingles fairly close. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!!

The cabin is clean and cozy. Mitzi was kind and warm. Queen beds were a bit hard for my comfort, but some guests will not be bothered by that. (My husband was not! Lol!) Our getaway was delightful. Recommend this property.

Communication was a breeze. House more then fit our needs. Great location! We got rained out a day or two when we were hiking. It was so relaxing coming back and cooking a yummy dinner there. Very peaceful. Thank You Mitzi!

We booked the cabin as a romantic getaway for my In-Laws 50th wedding anniversary and they loved it. The view was beautiful and as they both love being in the mountains, it was the perfect cabin retreat for them and a great place to put their feet up after exploring Asheville and scenic mountain drives. They loved it!

Property was well maintained and clean -especially during this time having to deal with COVID issues, it was great to be in a very comfortable setting. If you want to unplug, be quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life (and still be close enough to various distractions in Asheville and surrounding communities)- this was a pleasant get-away location for us!

I've rented from VRBO for a very long time and this property is one of the cleanest I've had. This is the first time that the kitchen was fully stocked with kitchen ware and there was even spices and COFFEE. Very well maintained and easily accessible.

The cabin is well kept and in a beautiful private location. Check in instructions were precise and easy to follow. We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning some day.

We really enjoyed our stay. This was our first time using VRBO and I was a little nervous. The directions to the cabin were detailed and well thought out, as were the instructions for using the cabin. The host, Mitzi, reached out quickly and answered my numerous questions prior to our arrival. The kitchen was complete with everything needed for cooking, baking, and eating and I needn’t have worried about bringing the sundries I did. The hosts have thought of everything. The night we arrived the sky was clear and the view of the sky filled with stars was awesome! The next day we enjoyed walking/hiking up the mountain path and admiring the view—a definite bonus to staying there. We loved the open floor plan of the cabin but the only thing I didn’t catch was that due to the open plan, the loft bedroom is open to the great room so noises in the kitchen were heard above and vice-versa. We would totally rent it again and would recommend staying there.

Property is on cul-de-sac so privacy is maintained. You don’t have to go far away for hiking trail. Lot of space and beds for the price. Owners are excellent hosts. Response time is quick. Very nice for adult and children. I wish for a second private bedroom if one family have a child.

As someone traveling with a small child, it is also nerve-wracking to think of all the gear you need to bring with you! However, Mitzi was prepared with a pack-n-play and even small high chair that made all the difference in lightening the load. There were tons of children's books there which was also a bonus! The home was very well-kept, well-stocked, ample space for a large family or groups of people and was tucked in a cute part of the neighborhood! While we did not have phone signal, the WiFi was excellent in the cabin!
