About this cabin rental

June and August just opened up! *Contact fee check-in* WELCOME to 'Lumpy Ridge Retreat" (Reg #20-NCD0046) this wonderful, year-round, updated cabin is nestled in huge rock outcroppings and has spectacular views of Long's Peak and Twin Sisters. It was completely remodeled and provides all the modern amenities of home. You will love the ambiance of the cabin and its surroundings which may include frequent visits from elk, deer, coyotes, bobcats, and the occasional bear. You will truly 'get away from it all' and fully enjoy the Rocky Mountain experience. Located two miles from downtown Estes Park, 'Lumpy Ridge Retreat' is located in the revered, north side of town beneath Lumpy Ridge and within one-half mile of Lumpy Ridge Trailhead (aka Gem Lake Trailhead) in Rocky Mountain National Park. Access is easy from the main road. Lumpy Ridge Retreat has fantastic views to be enjoyed from five outdoor living spaces, including two gazebos: one is behind the cabin and built into the huge boulders with a patio set and gas grill (see photo): and, the other is situated on the side of the cabin with beautiful views and a cozy outdoor wicker sofa set and chairs for 6 people (see photo). After a long day of hiking, soak in the private hot tub under the clear Rocky Mountain sky. With two picnic tables, this cabin is designed for ultimate relaxation. If steps are a problem, there is fairly level access to the cabin from the rear of the property. With over 1300 square feet, the inside of the cabin is spacious and comfortable with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Decorated in cabin decor, you will feel the warmth of this amazing getaway. With many large windows enveloping the outdoors, this is truly a year round destination. You will enjoy all the amenities of home, including smart TVs, DVD player and video library, and high speed wifi. The master bedroom has a king bed, TV, private deck, gas fireplace, Ceiling fan, and ensuite full bath with jetted tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed, TV, ceiling fan, and great views. The third bedroom has two twin log beds. Each bedroom has a closet and dresser with extra pillows and linens. Cooking will be a pleasure on the gas stove or gas grill located a few steps outside in the backyard gazebo. The kitchen window air conditioner, whole house attic fan (brings outside cooler air into cabin and vents through roof) and several fans add extra comfort on those few hot days in summer. Sorry, no parties, reunions, weddings, receptions, or large gatherings. Also, we are a non-smoking property, inside and out, and no marijuana in any form. This is a one-of-a-kind property and we invite you to experience 'Lumpy Ridge Retreat.' We know you'll be glad you did. Thank you! It was a home. Just perfect to sit, enjoy nature, and pop into town when you need something. Rocky Mountain National Park is 5 minutes away and hikes are 2 minutes away. Beds were comfortable, hot tub was private and perfect. Showers werw hot and kitchen was full of everything you need. We will come again and stay longer, a week was not enough. Lastly, the Hosts were amazing.

The home itself is very inviting and definitely has that cozy, mountain cottage vibe. Very nice cabin cottage decor. The kitchen is a dream. Completely updated. I wish I had it in my house. Master bedroom is spectacular!! I could have laid in bed all day with the fireplace going staring at the gorgeous wood ceiling and out the giant picture window. It was wonderful!! The only exception keeping it from being completely perfect, minus the master bedroom, the other beds were quite hard and actually kind of painful to sleep on. The owners where a dream to work with! It was a lovely, lovely place to stay.

This property is the perfect location for visiting Estes Park and RMNP!! It is in a quiet location outside of town but only 10 min to all the attractions from Estes Park shopping to hiking. This home is so clean, has all the supplies you could need. Beds were comfortable, fans were nice to keep us cool at night. The hot tub was great after hiking to relax! Many outdoor spaces to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We would definitely come back to Estes Park and if we did we would want to stay at this property again! We enjoyed hiking, white water rafting, and rented a UTV one day. So many great restaurants and plenty to do close by with this property as your home base, you can't go wrong. Owners checked in to see how we were doing, were very kind and accommodating and offered suggestions for local must see/do when we requested. This property and the property owners are 5 star in every aspect. Thanks for helping us make this a wonderful family vacation!!

Nestled in the stunning natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains, this cabin has become the perfect retreat for a peaceful and rejuvenating early spring annual getaway for us. The cabin is cozy, comfortable, and immaculately clean, with all the amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. From the first time we arrived, we were struck by the breathtaking views of the mountains and the tranquility of the surrounding woods. The cabin's location is ideal, just a short drive from Estes Park and all the area's attractions, but far enough away to feel like a true escape. We spend our days touring Rocky Mountain National Park, exploring the restaurants in Estes Park, and relaxing on the cabin's porch, taking in the stunning views. The evenings are spent cooking meals in the well-appointed kitchen, snuggled up by the fire, and enjoying the quiet serenity of the mountains. (And watching March Madness basketball games!) The hosts as always were warm and welcoming, providing us with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Their attention to detail and commitment to ensuring their guests have a wonderful experience has always been evident in all their communications.. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience at this cabin near Estes Park. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and grateful for the opportunity to experience the beauty of Colorado's mountains in such a lovely setting. We can't wait to come back again!

Location was great. House met our needs. Had a couple of minor issues though. Our daughter had a bad fall on the landing of the front steps due to ice and there was no ice melt on property. Owner apologized and stated the weather was unpredictable. It was cleaned up by the maintenance man and he left me a ziplock baggie with ice melt. Lol. Anyone who lives in an environment with snow should have a 5 gallon bucket filled with ice melt for the winter. I certainly do. 😊 Secondly, we had a snow one night that was 4-6 inches and I contacted Janeen (the owner) to let her know I would need the driveway plowed. I didn’t have all wheel drive and Janeen said according to the contract I agreed upon it was strongly recommended. There’s a difference between recommended and required. I didn’t appreciate how she handled that exchange. With that being said she did have someone take care of it. Outside of those 2 issues we had a great time there in a great location. 😊
