This stay was kinda disappointing. It was fine the check in location was off site and you had to stop at a separate location just inconvenient for checking in and out that way. When I rent a property I look at pictures. I sometimes open the description but when it is 2-3 pages of fluff I just skim, normally pictures tell all. This property has a beautiful indoor hot tub pictured but supposedly it hasn’t worked for over a year. I went back and looked in the description and you MUST open it fully to see it states (temporarily out of order), but my thoughts are if it’s been out of order for a year take the pictures down. At this point it’s just a false advertisement. I told the manager that and they basically said sorry about you we’ll think about it. Obviously they didnt care because those pictures are still up. They claimed it was made up with a visit to the athletic club free but that place was very run down and closes very early. Terrible place for a family. Good location to get to the village quickly. Washer drier was also out of order. No air condition so got pretty hot. If you need a place to sleep great but not exactly an ideal place to relax

The condo is located close to the bus stop that takes you to Eagle lodge. The condo also has a locker at Canyon lodge which my wife used several times and found very convenient. The unit was clean and very functional and the management company Mammoth Sierra Reservations were very helpful when I had one issue, they corrected the problem immediately. The unit has a jacuzzi but it never seemed to be warm enough to use, I didn't bother to complain as I saw similar complaints in other reviews of this unit and for me it was not a deal breaker. I would choose to stay here again if given the opportunity, the unit is clean and all the appliances are newer and work well.

The bathrooms have been renovated and everything works throughout the condo. We loved having the jacuzzi right off the balcony. However, it took almost two days to heat up. Don't forget to bring your own towels for the jacuzzi as there aren't any extra towels provided for it.I would easily rent this condo again.

One note: we had trouble with the jacuzzi taking forever to warm up to the right temperature, but once it gets there it's a nice tub. Try the blowers/jets buttons to raise the temperature faster. Having a locker at Canyon lodge was very helpful, and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking pots and pans and accessories. Definitely recommended for cooking with friends. The bus schedule was not as straightforward to figure out as I hoped, but we managed to catch the purple line in the evening which drops off on a street parallel to Joaquin. The sofabed was not very comfortable, but that's not a surprise to most people. I would stay there again, but next time I would turn on the hot tub 2 days before I arrive.

The unit was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed to have an enjoyable weekend. All of the beds were comfy and the private hot tub was an added bonus after a day on the slopes. The central location was great with easy access to the shuttle route and short drive to the Village or Old Mammoth. Will certainly consider this unit for future stays.

We found information on the best locations for the fall colors, drove around, hiked and took some lovely pictures from our trip. We ate out and cooked in the well stocked kitchen too. The place was clean and cozy. Parking for both cars was right up against the condo. Lots of wood was available if we chose to build a fire. Relaxing in the spa was fantastic. Super comfortable, very clean (definitely up to my standards!) and just the right amount of seating, lounging. Furnishing and decor are just fine for that cabin feel- not a preferred style, but certainly comfortable and provided the right amount of relaxation. LOVED the hot tub after hitting up the slopes. Heads up, the hot tub does take a few hours to hit the right temperature. We've learned from past reviews to make it a priority to turn on the hot tub before settling in! This particular weekend had some winter weather that I think caused the hot tub to go out. Our call to the management company on a Friday was answered promptly and within an hour or so someone came to flip the breakers that were only accessible in a locked closet, 3-4 hours later the hot tub was perfect!Other great features:-Parking for 2 was never a problem-Heaters worked well-Plenty of dishes and cook ware-Full extra bathroom upstairs was a plus for getting ready, etc.-Appx 5 minute drive to Canyon lodge...AND there's a locker waiting for you to store your equipment...super convenient!The only thing I would recommend is to bring a beach towel for the hot tub. There are a certain amount of shower long as you don't mind using your towel for both getting out of the shower and the hot tub you'll be fine.Other than that, we'd definitely recommend renting this unit. We plan to make this our annual spot when visiting Mammoth!

There were some cleanliness issues with the upper level restroom, and the sofa bed is extremely uncomfortable and I had to sleep on the floor. In fact, we stayed in another Mammoth Sierra condo the month before but I spent quite a bit of time selecting this more expensive unit because I wanted laundry in the unit. However the washer and drier in Forest Creek #28 were taped off with a sign that said "Please don't try to run Parts on Order" Obviously it hadn't been working for awhile but it was still advertised as having laundry. I called Mammoth Sierra and explained the situation. Kayla took the message and said she would discuss with a manager and call me back. Nobody ever returned the call. Mammoth Sierra apparently didn't know or care if the laundry was operating. Their webpage also says this unit has a king bed in the master bedroom, which it does not. I don't think the property managers verify the information they have listed and they are unresponsive when contacted. Use a different rental company.

We enjoyed our stay here, as it was cozy, clean and spacious enough for 4 adults and 3 kids. Even with all of our snow gear, the rooms felt like they had space (closets and the layout). The beds were firm but comfortable. The heaters worked very well (fixed from some of the last reviews). The jacuzzi was an added bonus and heated perfectly fine, was clean and very nice after long days on the slopes! The kitchen was a bit older looking, but worked perfectly well and was well stoked with dishes for cooking and serving food. They even had a kids dish cabinet! They also have lots of movies and games (great for the kids). The ONLY negative was that the lighting is still pretty dim upstairs in the main area - a handful of lights weren't working/burned out. We told management and they fixed a few of them right away, and said they would get the others fixed in the near future. Responsive service! We look forward to staying here again. It was GREAT having a 2 BR + 3 full bathrooms. No waiting for showers and it was nice to have bathrooms in each of the bedrooms for privacy.

This place was extremely convenient, I love how the bedrooms were on the first floor which made it a lot easier when unpacking. The location is amazing and only a few minutes from Mammoth. The lightbulbs were a little dim but the price for the value is great. Overall, a quaint place with a great location for convenient skiing.

We had no lights on the stairs which we managed through, but would have been nice to have. The location was great near restaurants and shopping.

The main reason we selected this unit was for the jacuzzi. After it had heated and then overheated there we many floating objects, such a huge disappointment. We attempted to warm the master bedroom with the plug in heater, closed the door with the heater on. After a few hours the temp only raised a few degrees. We brought in another heater but the room was not able to hold the power draw, circuit breaker tripped. We went throughout the house looking for the panel, this now about 10 pm. We couldn't find the panel so we called the 24 hour number. Jake called back within minutes and attempted to walk us through finding the breaker box to no avail. Jake stopped by to hunt for it as well, found it and reset the breaker. Jake was unable to get the in wall heaters working also, said that its a problem. The next day we visited the rental office to talk with someone. Gave them a run down but did not seem to have a sense of urgency or care that our unit was in the condition that we reported.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I am still giving it a 5 stars because it was so organized and easy to check in. The only small recommendation is that the house windows are not enough to provide good air flow. I would just recommend the owners put a couple small portable fans in the closets for use if needed.
