We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean upon arrival and it was easy to find. Drive way is a little steep but we got used to it after the first day. The only thing that we couldn’t get to work was the fireplace but that wasn’t a big deal since we only had one cold night. Would definitely rent this one again. Thanks

This place was amazing. It felt like staying in a mansion to us. So much space was great for my little ones. And a extra space downstairs with a couch, tv and room to play was perfect for my 4 year old who sometimes needs an escape. My teens loved the place too. My husband and I enjoyed it for us and the whole family. Beautiful views, well cared for home and just what we needed. Close to town but felt like we we off to ourselves. Clean and taken care of. Perfect for families. We can’t wait to stay again. Highly recommend.

This is our second time at Black Bear Crossing. My family and I come for a family reunion and it is the perfect location for us. It is minutes away from tubing and the national park. Central is located to Cherokee and other attractions. We enjoy sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful view. This trip I had my younger ages 4-19 and they loved the home. The only problem we had that the AC in the upper level went out for a day and half and we congregated in the lower level to sleep due to how hot it was. Someone did come out and fixed it while we went out. Coming from flat land you must be able to drive up the steep driveway and make a quick turn into the drive, make sure you watch for the rocks on your right side. By the end of the second trip I learned how to back out to the road without going over the hill. It is a lovely place for families and we plan on coming again next year. And watch out for the Black Bears!

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was close enough to town to be convenient to all stores, but far enough from town to make it appear you were in the middle of nowhere. Very peaceful and restful! Enjoyed the deck and view off of it very much!Overall, very very very nice! No complaints!

Great view, great location, wonderful hot tub. Would stay here again. While there is a general warning about this being a mountain home, the driveway is very steep and if I had been driving my manual transmission would have struggled with the driveway.

Loved the location. Tucked away but just down the street you are in town. Felt it could have been cleaner. We arrived and started checking things out and there was a roach in the kitchen. The tub in the bathroom had mold and gunk all underneath the overflow drain, the hot tub could have been cleaner. It felt like someone had dumped sand in it and I think this is the first time I have been in a hot tub that you didn’t smell any chlorine or anything.

Coming apart/ dirty
Great location, rental company was nice. The cabin itself had roaches, looked like the ceiling was falling in, tore up lawn furniture, pictures showed none of this.

The home was clean, the neighborhood was so quiet I didn't know there were other properties near until we were leaving. Everything we needed was in the home. The directions were spot on, and the home had an amazing charm. Best Vacation Ever
The home was clean, the neighborhood was so quiet I didn't know there were other properties near until we were leaving. Everything we needed was in the home. The patio doors did not lock. It was ok but over all house needs repair and updated. Driveway is very steep. It would be great with some updates. House I very roomy. Outside is not toddler friendly terrain. Great views though!

Very clean, comfortable vacation rental. We enjoyed the open floor plan, spacious living areas, and deck with hot tub. Nice view from the deck. They aren't kidding about the steep driveway. Backing out can be a little intimidating at first. We loved everything about it and would stay here again. Only complaints: 1)there were no hot pads/potholders 2)we had to pack our trash out with us to avoid a $20 fee because although the checkout instructions said there was a trash can provided, there wasn't one.

Older reviews are accurate, dishwasher did leak a little, basement door locks do not work but block stick was in use to assist, basement shower had low water pressure when using hot water and internet did not work.
However, the house was beautiful, very roomy for my husband and I and 2 teenage girls. Kitchen was great for our dinners.
Location was great for visiting many of the surrounding areas, all within an hour of TN, Asheville, etc.
