Charming home newly updated and ready for your family getaway on Lake Minnewaska walking distance from downtown Glenwood! HUGE and shallow sandy beach, perfect sunsets and large backyard with a creek running through it! When you're looking for a place to bring the family up to the lake, look no further. You'll spend hours playing in the water with the kids enjoying the sandy bottom or head out to fish in one of the best lakes in Minnesota! With being walking distance to downtown Glenwood you'll be able to enjoy all of the shops and restaurants Glenwood has to offer. If you enjoy sunsets, you've found the right spot as well as any given day you can sit back from the front porch or down by the lake and enjoy the panoramic views. The beach is located across the street from the house. The house is spacious and well equipped for your summer getaway!

We had a very special time at your house on Lake Minnewaska. The house was spotless well organized, and very well described. There is a very short walk across the road to the dock and a gorgeous view of the sunsets on Lake Minnewaska. If you bring a boat, there is a place to park it on the dock. This was very handy and accessible. We spent time at the fire pit, and roasted some s’mores. There is a new washer and dryer with which I took advantage. The host was very responsive and was right on top all of my questions. I appreciated this greatly! It was a nice little walk down to the Lakeside restaurant and Wandering Cup Coffee trailer. We took a little walk one morning to get some coffee and enjoyed the view of the lake. Thanks so much!!

This was our 4th or 5th year at this location. We do love it. The house layout works well. Nice open kitchen area with good sized table. The couches aren't super comfortable but work well for the kids to watch movies or play games on the large square coffee table. Full bath upstairs with half bath on main level are a plus. Large backyard area. The beach needed clean up and I did rake some; clean up crew came on day 2 and did a very good job on the beach. My suggestions for improvement include the following: An A/C unit in the south window of the front bedroom and a bigger capacity unit in the living room to handle main floor. This year was 90 temps and maybe a newer unit would be more economical overall. We do use fans to circulate air, close blinds and be sure doors stay closed. A deep cleaning inside at least once a year. Sometimes there isn't a lot of time between rentals and getting walls and window sills cannot be done each time. Clean up the landscaping. Trim up along creek. I realize that it is difficult to get right up to the creek when it's wet; however the extent of overgrowth indicates this not getting maintained. This is a home that I lived in as a child and we treat it like family. In closing, we loved our time here and will be back.

Very family friendly property! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the utensils and small appliances I needed. Loved the large dining area and the grill had all the propane we needed for grilling. There were no surprises as we read the previous reviews and knew exactly what to expect. Having a washer and dryer was a bonus, it was great coming home from vacation with clean clothes. We're definitely going to stay here again!!

Pictures of the property looked great. But nothing was super maintained when we got there. The lawn mowing service came while we were there so we had to move everything so they could mow. Someone checked out before us that day, so they had to “clean”. The Beds were all changed over and some clean towels out and what not. But there were spiders everywhere in the corners, the floors were sandy in the kitchen, and there was no fans or any AC units running so it was hot as heck in the house.. I contacted Chad a few times and only got a response once or twice. We made due and still had a great weekend.. but not sure we would stay again. Property overall wasn’t super great for kids. The creek across the backyard wasn’t ideal and the road was crazy busy with construction traffic that weekend.
