About this cottage rental

Nestled in Bolton, this charming cottage for $810 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This private, lake front main house and separate guest cottage sits on one acre at the end of a private road. One of only a few properties with a private, walk-in sandy beach and western exposure, it's perfect for families who enjoy the afternoon sun. Dock has space for a 24' boat and is also a great place for early morning fishing. A hammock is strung between two trees and Adirondack chairs are on the lawn for kicking back. A Weber charcoal BBQ available for outdoor cooking, a picnic table near the water and a waterfront fireplace for late night campfires. Main house sleeps 7, full kitchen and breakfast room, stone fireplace in living room, screened-in porch over looking the lake. Guest cottage with full private bath and washer and dryer, sleeps up to 4 (queen bed + bunk). A/C in both main house and Guest Cottage. Good hiking trails within 2 miles. Minutes to Lake George Village by boat or car. Outlet shopping, amusement parks, and cultural events minutes away. Saratoga 40 minutes, Albany airport 1 hour, 15 min. There's an Owners cottage on the property further up the mountain. From time to time the owner may stay in cottage while other two units are rented. Renter will have exclusive use of the outdoor spaces. Bed Linen Service. We include our Bed Linen Service automatically. If you would like to bring your own bed linens, we'll be happy to remove the $100 fee. Wifi available. Washer and Dryer: The Washer and Dryer are located in the cottage. They are both full size, side by side units. Automatic generator to manage any power outages that might occur. Turns on/off automatically. Towels: Please note you must bring your own bath/beach towels. With only a few hours between renters, there's not time to wash and dry towels.

A wonderful location on Lake George. A cottage from 1926. Well maintained and lots of family history. Walk in beach and good boat dock. Friendly owner. Our family had a great vacation there.

June was a wonderful time to be at Pilot Knob. The loons were fishing and calling directly off of the property. A true Lake George cottage with a sandy beach. The screened-in porch (with windows to close on cool nights) provides an expansive view across the lake. The cottage is comfortable and very well maintained.

I stayed with family at this great home on Lake George and we would reserve it again without hesitation. There was plenty of space for our group of seven adults. The home and cottage was clean and we had everything we needed. Loved having the kayaks available for our use and you just can’t beat the view while relaxing by the water next to a warm fire. Our vacation was everything we hoped for and more! This is truly a beautiful property with picturesque lake views, gorgeous sunsets, and child (and barefoot out to deep water) friendly water access with a gently sloping sandy bottom. The cabin is very comfortable and full of history. My kids actually prefer the mattresses in the cabin to what we have at home. Bill was welcoming and super responsive. My family loves Lake George and this experience only made that love grow. Thank you!

This is the second time staying at this property and both times had awesome stays. Bill was extremely responsive to any questions we had and property/house was in great condition and clean on arrival. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Beach area is perfect for kids and kayaks, canoe, yard games is an awesome bonus.

This house is a true hidden gem! Countless hours were spent out on the dock fishing, playing in the lake and enjoying the fire pit at night. Owner was very responsive to a couple questions we had- you can tell they take great pride in their house and making sure that guests have a great experience. Will definitely book again if/when we find ourselves in Lake George again!

The place was everything and more. We felt so lucky to be able to stay at such a fantastic location - you can tell how much love went into the house and the lakefront. We made use of the kayaks daily, taught my parents cornhole and bonded around the fire every night. Bill and Beth were around and it was nice to meet them and know that they were accessible for any issues (hardly any) We hope to stay there again one day.

We had the best stay and couldn’t be happier about finding this gorgeous Adirondack Lakehouse! It was truly perfect. It has the charm of a lake camp but the modern luxuries (updated kitchen and bathrooms) that made it the perfect vacation spot. We are hoping to visit every year! Bill was a wonderful host and we had everything we needed. We have 2 small children and a baby and the lawn and sandy beach area were ideal for hours of fun digging and playing. They also loved making s’mores in the fire pit. The house was well cared for, clean, and stocked with all of the essentials. We truly cannot say enough good things! Our friends stayed in the guest cottage which was perfect. Thank you again!!

Absolutely loved this getaway location! Was a last family trip before my daughter and her husband move away. So we rented this so it would be private and still an easy ride to town. We were also able to rent a pontoon boat across the lake and dock to pick up all passengers. I’ll just put it this way, we all love, love, loved this location and made a lot of great memories. If you do rent this location make sure to see all the family history. And your host is very quick to respond. You can’t go wrong renting here!

This property was just what we needed. Fantastic ADK camp. Kids enjoyed the beach, even in October. House is well maintained with a lot of upgrades., making the stay comfortable and inviting. Property has a lot of space to have great family chats or peaceful views of the lake. Great location to hiking and other activities, but close enough to village for shopping. Looking forward to a return trip!
